My new VivoBarefoot shoes arrived, as featured in the carpet thread. I am delighted with them, they are so comfortable! I bought them to use as slippers because I wanted rubber soles and they are perfect. I think I’m convert, I’m already scoping out my next purchase and I think wife wants me to buy her some as well.

I wore them all day and then had to put on my Vans to nip to the shop. They’re usually my comfiest shoes and it felt like my toes were being squashed after the comfort of these all day.

As if all that wasn’t good enough, snapping the picture of them has helped me find out where the missing baby bottle lid is! :metul:

Cor! The £8.50 + postage Gundam kit I won on eBay (listed as DIY robot toy) has turned up and it’s a big ass box Master Grade kit (£70 - £85) elsewhere! Only bought it for kit bashing bits ... this is becoming a pattern.

Yeah, I think so. Means in my head I’m fully justified in buying more.

First time I’ve seen pilots in one of these. It’s not much bigger than the Mobile Suits I already have 1/100 rather than 1/144 but is really detailed. And Transforms!

I have a bin bag full in the pantry as well. We got a load for helping out at a race.

The box looks like Optimus Prime/Ultra Magnus but the model looks like Starscream.

A decent toaster is on our list when the kitchen finally gets done.

We bought some patio furniture. The original set that I wanted kept going out of stock, then I spotted this one on IKEA and I’m really glad the original went out of stock as I love this one far more. The chairs are really comfortable, and it’s just such a great size, and really roomy to sit 2-4 people if that’s your norm, but then the table doubles in size to seat 8-10, and would be great for a long barbecue/buffet table, also.

Ooh, that's smashing that - is that the colour it comes in or have you stained it?

That’s the colour it comes it. It’s ready treated with several coats and you can buy pots of the same stain from IKEA if you want to either stain anything else to match or give it extra protection in the future. That massive table is only £100.

When your Weber gloves run out, replace them with a set of welding gloves which are cheaper and better at dealing with the heat.

That aside: welcome to the smoking Kru!

[edit] You've got a chimney starter already, I assume?

Noted, ta.

Thank you :)

I have yes, although I don't think it's as big as the Weber one that is seemingly recommended by most.

Have been reading up on all sorts of stuff like Minions and things so my first attempt, assuming everything arrives in time, may well be this weekend. I haven't got a damned clue how many heat beads I should use though, I kind of assume that I don't need to use as many heat beads as I would "normal" briquettes but no idea.

Our toaster LOOKS fab, but the slots need to be bigger, really. And other members of the Warhead household say it doesn't toast both sides evenly. I think that's down to user error.

Thanks MImi. Nor me.

I had been saving quite well as I am working from home.

That covered the floor, the garden and blind was covered for that.

Just had a quote for the new fence, which I will aim for June so I can save again.

The tv will be cleared by my payrise which I get in 21 days. :)
