Yes, I have all of my cedar trees in a middle-level forest area. I was just hoping to line the town with Christmas trees :D

Not to worry, they were just silly ideas x

yay! oooh also top top
growing mushrooms will dissapear at the end of their season
but if you pick a mushroom then drop it, it will look like a normal growing mushroom but will not dissapear!
obviously mush diys will not dissapear at all, but this way we get to keep the cute actual mushrooms too!

oh they will count towards dropped items I think so Isabelle might complain, though they are natural so maybe not

I don't know if I have mushroom left on my island for further projects - ho ho!

So I'm officially back into this after a two month break. I've been terraforming my island like mad again, redoing paths, trying to wild up the woodlands some more and making a delightful little zen cedar bath area. Next plans call for a vast outdoor library and something in the woods - but I'm not sure what yet. I'm really digging the fall colours, reds and yellows are really suiting my island. I'm going to have to move fast though if snow-season is just around the corner, though my new island set-up is taking more into account a less spring / summer vibe so hopefully it should transition to winter okay. Ooh - also I've got to check out your fall islands and see what's cooking! By the weekend I'm hoping to have everything in place to open my doors. :)

Just Kicks today, but gate is open anyway. Turnips are 122, so I wonder if they might rise a bit more this afternoon.

I've put the acorn pochette diy and the green leaf pile and the yellow leaf pile diys on the grass as they are seasonal an peeps might see them better

My spare diy list is now just the 4 Halloween event diys, if anyone needs them please let me know

I'm starting a massive overhaul of my island. No final plan at the moment, but I'll probably move away from the rustic idyll I've had since reaching Wits' End. I've begun by taking inspiration from Jem and creating a second resident (called "The Shadow") so I can develop a country club retreat.

I enjoyed Halloweening the place but have now taken all the decorations down save for one or two spooky items to scare people with. Haven't had much luck making the place mushroomy but I hear Christmas is coming.

I remain concerned about Isabella's working conditions.

Thanks! Will have a think. Definitely toying with at least a posh dormitory wing and a proper dining room, with perhaps a combined bar/library. One or two other rooms might be "themed" like your lovely space room from a while back. I'll be doing lots of visits to other people's islands seeking inspiration and will try to be better at remembering to open the gates to mine .

I'll be opening my gate mid-afternoon if anyone wants to swing round. I'll post here when I'm ready, and feeling less hungover. :)

I had a good scavenge of free stuff from Flump yesterday. Felt guilty running off with my arms stuffed with recipes and pumpkins, so I left a little island anthem of thanks on the notice board. x

I hope you don't mind @Devilman
because so many people are missing mush diys I decided to craft a load
so on the grass next to the epic battle there are now
10 mush lamps, 10 mush stools, 5 mush tables and 5 mush parasols
so potentially 5 people can pick up a set of 2 lamps a table 2 stools and a parasol
(or people can pick up whatever they want of course)
they are all customisable

I don't mind at all. :) I've been rather neglecting the game lately so at least someone is making use of the open gate really!

if you like the mushrooms you should take some and put them somewhere on Flump :)

Come one, come all to Haven - there's some new places to visit!

Fancy a sip of coffee and a good book on a comfy sofa? Why not swing by the village library and lose yourself in a fine novel, or use cutting edge technology to send a fax to a friend?

Perhaps you'd like to slip on your hiking boots and take a walk up the nature trail to our campsite and picnic retreat?

Or why not party down at Fluffer's Beachside Party Bar?

Perhaps you'd like to take a soothing bath in our Zen Garden?

Or enjoy a desert at the local cafe, where Lloyd Grossman and Lucas Bonchon work to provide you with the best coffee and cakes. (May be their day off.)

And don't fret about being trapped on the island for all eternity, our sea-planes are refueled and kept in tip-top condition at our shoreline maintenance depot!

Oh, is it?! Haha. I didn’t realise you could put them down/‘plant’ them like that. Thanks Jem, but I’ve got one. I’ve been walking around with it over my head as a normal umbrella. They look massive when you put them down, then?

Hmm. I don’t think I can plant it down like that. It just drops like a small umbrella?

EDIT: ohhhhhh... parasol ≠ umbrella.

Ok, so I have a giant empty space in front of where this video starts. You can’t see it all, but it is HUGE.

So, I have decided I’m going to make a winter wonderland. Now that I’ve seen all those trees and decorations I AM HERE for Christmas. So, I’m going to go big on the decorations and trees, but also I think I will get a couple of popcorn carts, etc, and the teacup ride. But I really would like the pastel version.

Could someone who has the pastel please order one for me? I have loads of nook mile tickets and will pay handsomely in NMT, or any amount of bells if bells are preferred? Just tell me which are preferred x

Love your pond, Mimi! Lovely paths too. Will have to visit, and I'll have to open my doors again before winter comes.

Tragically the beachside sushi restaurant doesn't make much sense in winter, so I'll have to wait until Spring to unveil my next big thing. Also, Isabelle says my island has fallen to four stars on account of all my clutter. HEART BROKEN. Do ground decals count as clutter? Because I went a bit crazy with the fallen leaf decals.

No, they don’t. I think it’s more things like furniture placed in leaf form, tools placed in toolbox form, etc.

And thank you. I’m think my town is a bit seasonal, but that’s ok. I’ve built it so slowly that there are seasonally-appropriate ‘bits’ dotted about.
