There's quite a few less than Lego sets on aliexpress for reasonable amounts.

It’s mushroom season. I’m so excited!

I’ve found four so far. Is there a rule of thumb as to where they appear or how ma y you can get?

Also, thank you to Miki for making Blatgers happy. I haven’t had a new art piece from Redd’s in my own town for ages, so that was a super nice surprise. I think I got all of Jack’s treats last night, too!

Saw my first mushroom today too.. just the one though. And thank you Miki for the art again. :)

Gate is open again and it's Butch's birthday. Turnips are 104.

you are both very welcome for the art! :)

squeeee, I have seen three mushrooms so far, they appear around hardwood and cedar trees, 5 per day and you can apparently have a maximum of 30 on your island
they will only grow if you see Isabelles message, so you cant ignore the game and expect a load :)

I have lots of halloween spares if anyone needs anything

Ooh, it looks like mushrooms can be buried next to trees, as well as grow around them. I just found a ‘rare mushroom’ (truffle) buried next to a tree in a dig spot.

Devil man, I was on your island and lost connection. It was my fault (well, my internet’s fault), just now. I hope it didn’t cause any issues for you or anyone else visiting. I’m really sorry.

It took ages for me to find the pine bonsai pattern, and eventually someone just gave me a spare, but I’ve just shot one down from a balloon and so taken it over to Flump if anyone else has struggled to get one.

Does anyone know if the mushroom recipes are only from balloons or if you can get them in bottles/from villagers?

I'm afraid they are only from balloons and possibly bottles, not from villagers
I have balloons, they are annoying and they never give you diys
did everyone get a mush wreath diy from Isabelle?

Yep, got the wreath on the 1st. It’s cute, but doesn’t suit my house style so I’ve given it to a villager with a cute brown house/door.

I have done another art round! It's getting harder as pieces are more rare but still managed to send everyone two paintings
as usual bladibla duplicates etc

That was an odd one. Communication error but after that the game was stuck on the loading island animation. Restarted the game and the gate is open again.

Thank you for the art too. :)

I think 'getting by' sums things up. :) Hard to motivate myself at the moment (particularly as work is dull and I've also shut ConsoleMAD for now due to the second lockdown) and I always get anxious in the run-up to Christmas, so it's all building up. Still.. got to keep going...!

Thanks for the recent art miki :luv: realised when I logged in yesterday and picked it up that I'd not played all week 8) that's the longest gap for me since the game came out.

Hang in there DM - if there's anything we can do to keep you cheerful/motivated, do say :)

You're very welcome Jem!

I'm a member of an AC discord server and they have been doing events and island tours, streaming on Twitch
they have been putting the streams on youtube lately https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAW3oh ... PeuDfnopcQ
if anyone is looking for some AC entertainment I highly recommend the murder mystery :D also PaulBall

if anyone wants to watch live it's usually on sunday 19.30 uk time and coming sunday will be assault course madness
https://www.twitch.tv/megatronzgooch

in non AC entertainment we have recently finished Queens Gambit (Netflix) which was a very good coming of age sort of thing
before that we thoroughly enjoyed Crazy ex girlfriend (also Netflix)

Sending love DM, Miki, Jem and everyone. I’ve logged on each day (actually, no, I missed a day :o ) but things have been a bit manic as D is off school, we are trying to go through some big stuff at home (not bad stuff, just a lot of planning/stress) and I broke my tooth which now needs pulling and I’ve been in so much pain and misery with that problem that everything else has been blah. Thank you for the lovely art pieces. Blathers thinks I’m great.

you ARE great :D
and you're very welcome!

I'm so sorry about your tooth! and all the other stressful things :( I hope you can breathe easier soon :luv:

for us it has mainly been weeks and weeks of incessant building noise and then last week the terrifying news that Katies teacher had Covid. She has him 5 days a week and though they try their best, it has been a very worrying time waiting for yes/no symptoms and also Katie was so very very upset thinking she might have brought it home and a load of worries came flooding out about us dying and her being isolated from us etc etc poor thing
and in stead of getting a break to get your balance back everything goes on!
she had to go back to school! with a different person teaching every day
and similarly we keep running into things that cannot be put off - like broken toilet and MOT and yearly vacc for the cat and being expected to do sensible work
but I feel we are breathing a bit easier now, no-one has any covid symptoms, the teacher is doing well and sent a clip to the kids to reassure them, katie has bounced back a lot, the noise is easing, biden won, I've got my flu jab, fridge got fixed and we are all sleeping a bit better

Forgot to say thank you for the supportive words yesterday, so thank you. I know I have it easier than most people right now, so I tend to keep my problems to myself, but that does rather build up.

Gate is open again, but just Gulliver around today:

You don't have it easier then others! Your specific issues are probably different, everyone has unique circumstances, but that doesn't mean your things don't affect you just as much as other ppl or suck any less!
please don't keep your struggles to yourself, there might not be much we can actually do to help, but we for sure can listen and offer comfort and understanding

That's so true. We all struggle in our own ways and aren't alone. All our circumstances count and struggles are real and valid. Love to you all :luv:

Hi folks, I have some random questions about the game which TT’ers might know.

I was wondering if anyone knew the dates of when the spruce trees grew their lights at Christmas, if that is a thing in the current game? Also the date that we start seeing snow?

I want to plant my island’s main avenue with spruce trees (instead of the current peach trees) if they have lights.

Also, is it all spruce trees or just a random select few.

Also, on a completely different season, why are rare mushrooms easily the most common?

snow season begins on the 26th of november
spruce trees def grow lights, I think not all of them but some of them? and then when you shake them different colour baubles fall out (like pinecones) and those are used in the christmas diys
I never timetravel outside my current week so I haven't seen them but I have read a lot
I think the spruce trees need to be mature at the festification date and I believe that date is dec 15th but I will go check

edit: yes

OMG. I’m going to decorate my island in a way that makes up for the lack of outside decoration in my real world. Hmm. I wonder if I dig up a ‘lit’ tree if I could then replant that to be a definite lit tree in a new location? If so I’ll just plant a load of soruce trees in that empty space a few days before.

I think snow day was always December 10th (? Maybe?) in past games so I wonder if that’s when we’ll get snow cover.

Also, because I’ve been meaning to ask this for MONTHS, but does everyone have triangles grass now, or are there still circles, square and star grass?

I've only ever seen triangle grass but I never played any of the previous games so I wouldn't even know what to look for
I will ask the replanting question in the Discord

Unfortunately apparently if you move a decorated tree it loses its decoratedness
and there is no way to know in advanced which will be decorated
a big shame, but better to know beforehand I guess

you could still make a lane of trees and then take out the ones that didn't become decorated and use those spots for other decorations

Gate is open and Saharah is around. I also got a pyramid from Gulliver today so I've left that out in case anyone wants it.

It’s like a double lined avenue and I don’t think I could stand it if it weren’t symmetrical :s
