I watched a test thing on you tube where they came out at middling performance which is a surprise, I'll buy anything labelled Wera though so I still went for them

Just ordered some Biodegradable Paper Tape for Christmas. We're slowly, very slowly moving towards a plastic free existence in the PazHouse

Yay! I'm trying to do the same. I've been making reusable wipes for baby girts and am making some reusable make up wipes in fabric baskets for Christmas gifts.

Oh. Where is that from.

I bought brown paper for wrapping. Starred last year. I did not think of the tape.

Is it much more biodegradable than bog-standard masking tape? Is it the kind that you have to wet to use?

We used newspaper last year (and what was left of some wrapping paper) and it worked quite well, although didn't think to swap to a papery tape.

It has two recliner seats and USB charging ports built-in and is only the second couch I've ever bought; which makes the current one over 10 years old. I'm oddly excited about it given that it's, y'know, a fucking couch.

I was disappointed to learn that Sofology where I'd bought my current recliners are now owned by DFS :(
I found their total lack of sales bullshit to be refreshing, but clearly not enough people did.

I really dislike leather or faux leather sofas. The noise, the sliding or rubbing, they feel a bit cheap too (even though they aren’t cheap in the slightest), nah not for me. And I associate them with old peoples houses from when I was a yoof and being dragged around relatives house who all had them. Fabric sofas for the win. Weird cause after typing that I’ve discovered I’ve got some negative psychological association with leather sofas; old people and old people smells. Still, fabric all day.

I bought some headphones for running that I'd been after for a while. I don't know why I keep persisting but in-ear things just never work for me. I've had loads of them and depsite methodically trying every single different size of the squishy bits they come with none of them will stay in my fucking ears if I'm sat on a sofa let alone out running. Even the ones with the loop thing that goes behind your ear. With those they'll at least stay on my head but then afer ten miutes max I'm just left with a tinny little speaker bouncing around outside my ear. I kept feeling like I must be doing something wrong and maybe I am but I give up.

So I just snagged a pair of these snazzy knitted ones which are some collaboration between Adidas and the people who make Marshall amps:

They must surely be sweat-wicking. Merino or bamboo, or a man-made alternative, you’d hope. Would be good if you could wash the covers.

I recently bought these. They are small and discreet. Not expensive but serve my purposes well (listening to audiobooks and taking calls on the school run - obviously only on the leg of the journey when I’m not with D).

Yeah, the wooly bits come off for washing. They'd be absolutely disgusting in about a week otherwise.

I'd looked at bone conductors but read that they can get a bit drowned out in strong winds, which is pretty often just here.

Fewer novelty songs than the days of their appearances on games like Frequency and Amplitude, but really enjoying the album so far.

I believe the principal songwriter left at some point which is when they shifted to a more mature sound.

edit - Imaginary Friends was the first album with the new lineup which was 10 years ago!
