Not much to report today, just Gulliver and a steadily declining turnip price, but the gate is open anyway.

Thank you for the art Miki ... it's really kind of you

Thanks to your girls too Ross. I only just spotted the messages they left after visiting my island. That was a lovely surprise

Things are a bit chaotic here so I've only managed to check the turnip prices once. It was about 62 bells when I checked so very poor

I hope all is well ... I'll read back over the messages properly when things calm down a bit here ........

of course! I've sent it
there is a weird thing with posters that you catalog, they don't appear in your poster list, but if you use "poster" in the search you do see them to order them again

So I've installed 1.5.0
but pumpkins are not available until tomorrow (okt 1st)
and unfortunately they patched the poster thing the opposite way and I can now no longer order cataloged posters so the list I made yesterday can go in the bin

you're welcome Devilman, just in time before they patched it!

Yeah pumpkins tomorrow
some info, you can get the pumpkin starts from Nooks and from Leif, it looks like you can pick the pumpkin and it will regrow without replanting (I've heard I havent picked a pumpkin yet)
You can pick the pumpkin on the 4th day, if you count planting as day 1 and the chances apparently are 70% orange, 10/10/10% for the other colours
recipes can be obtained from crafting villagers and crafted items can be bought (limited) from the special spot in Nooks and 1 sweet per day per person from the cabinet
Also Ables will have stuff

Hi folks, I’m a bit behind. I’ve logged in every day but not been feeling up to playing, and now I don’t really know what is going on.

Does anyone know if the Tree’s Bounty recipes have ended, as I’ve done really poorly at collecting those and any acorns and pinecones? I have tge answer to my other questions from Miki’s post above (:luv:).

it's just an oktober interlude with the pumpkins and pumpkin diys
Ive gotten pumpkin diys from crafting villagers, but havent had a chance to do balloons today as its a working day
I will post you some acorns and pinecones xxx

Oh, that’s fab to hear. Thank you Miki. At least I’ll hopefully have a chance to catch up a bit. Please don’t worry about sending me any; you should collect them for your DIYs. I was just asking as I was worried today was the last chance and there’s no way I’d manage to get many today x

Gate is open and Leif is around (although I suspect everyone might have Leif today, given that Isabelle mentioned they'd be selling pumpkin starts).

@Miki, thank you SO much for the acorns and pinecones! I’ll do some autumnal crafting for my woodland later!

I’ve bought 20 pumpkin starts. Does that sound like a reasonable number? I’m not sure how many we are going to need for the recipes? Does anybody know how they need planting? Can we plant them close together like trousers or do they need pls ting further apart like trees?

I bought 20 as well, and having rejigged my 'front garden' have planted them next to each other in rows (I am pretty sure I saw them planted next to each other in the update vid?)

They can be close together, like in a row (or many rows)
20 is plenty as the vine will stay when you pick the pumpkin, so you can water it again and get a new pumpkin
You can pick the pumpkin on the 4th day, if you count planting as day 1 and the chances apparently are 70% orange, 10/10/10% for the other colours
if you water every day, you get 3 pumpkins per start on day 4, if you don't water at all you will get 1 pumpkin per start, you can get 2 pumpkins if you water a little
when you pick the pumpkins you can replant one, like a fruit. if you do that you are guaranteed a plant of that colour
so if you want a bit more balance in the orange/yellow/green/white you can take some orange plants out and plant a few of the others
most recipies require orange pumpkins, but you can customise them with other colour pumpkins in stead of customisation kits
also buy a candy every day at nooks as you will need/want them on oktober 31st

edit: apparently there is no added value to having them watered by visitors, just one normal water a day will do the job :)

Gate is open for the afternoon, but nothing exciting to report. I ended up buying the desktop computer after taking the pic as I'd not seen one for sale before, so if anyone wants one ordering, just let me know.

Ok, so I have got nearly a hundred orange pumpkins, a few yellow and a few green. Does anybody know if we can post pumpkins to each other? If so, does anybody have any white pumpkins they’d be willing to share so I can plant them, and does anybody want green or yellow?

I have all (four?) colours so will happily send a couple if I can. Just need a shower and then I'll sort it. :)

ETA: sent two :)
