... And the wires are supposed to be a bit higher up than this.

Astonishingly, so far the effect has been the internet dropping from 27 to 19mbps.

I would scoff, but after nearly six months of not doing it I would be knackered now too.

My hand is a little beaten up from the letter boxes too, some of those are vicious buggers.

Depends on what you're doing with it. If you're binge watching all of Trump's idiotic interviews on uchube, not long.

The Shrunken Heads have been removed from display at Oxford's Pitt Rivers Museum. Always a highlight of a visit, particularly when you would stumble upon them unexpectedly, but I can understand how their display was a little too colonialist and disrespectful.

I've been asked to do some filming in Halifax on Friday which is a couple of hours away from here so that's all good. Even better is that the Arcade Club in Bury is on the way home so I'm going to pop in there and spend my Friday night playing arcade games. Ace!

I take an hour for lunch every day because I'm supposed to AND because we (all the mobile engineers) have been told we can't work through our lunch break and finish our shift early. I never used to take an hour before we TUPEd over from Foojitsoo, but I now really enjoy the break, particularly if I'm out in the wilds of the north west. But recently the hour feels longer and longer. I always set my phone timer for 55 mins to make sure I don't over run, but I'll often check it to make sure it's still running.

I feel your pain. Did the same thing when we were trying to get our business off the ground a few years ago. Delivering leaflets in the rain was no fun. And we didn't get a single customer from those drops.

I'm glad about it now because even though my current employer leaves a lot to be desired, driving around the north west, listening to music at their expense and fixing stuff is a lot less stressful.

Get yourself a Switch, the hour will fly by then just like it used to do in my old job.

I'd probably over run the hour every day if I did that.

I pass the time in here, checking B3ta and @fesshole, or just enjoying the views.

Don't think it brought any bookings either, but just trying random shit and seeing what sticks to start with. Instagram is where all the business has come from for the past few weeks, so in terms of bang for buck we'll carry on with that.
Saves me having to traipse around!

That's what I suspected, but they neglected to make a hole in the fabric underneath.

It was idle curiosity anyway. I use it for work so it's full of tools, cables, docs, etc. so I won't be walking around with it listening to muzac.

Just found a box with lots of blank CDs and DVDs.

What do I do with them, I can’t remember the last time I burnt anything.

Must be like finding vhs tapes.

How many have you got? They're still useful for burning games for the Saturn, Mega CD etc.

I may be interested if you're looking to get rid of them.

It looks like I am claiming for the crash, which is a bonus

Quote:
Vehicle Registration: WN65 SXP
Accident: 4 June 2020

We have now received a response from the Insurer of the driver that caused the accident and we are pleased to say that liability has been admitted.

Based on the medical report of Dr Majid Abdulla dated 4 August 2020 I would value your claim for injury at £2200 to £2500. You therefore have two options. The first option is that we proceed to settle your claim now based on Dr Abdulla’s report. However if we do settle your claim now and you do not recover in line with Dr Abdulla’s report we will be unable to investigate this further. If you wish to settle your claim now I would recommend that we put forward an offer to accept £2500 personal injury plus financial losses.

The second option if you wait until you have fully recovered before proceeding to settle your claim.

Please confirm how you wish to proceed.
Yours sincerely

Oh bugger, that is taking ages.

I think I will give the go ahead, as I was not expecting anything. My shoulder aches but it needs proper physio which I have not been able to get to

We've agreed a settlement, but they sent a cheque... to the wrong address... and are back to not answering the phone or emails.
