Gate is open again. Not much to report at the moment, but there will be shooting stars this evening, so I'll have my gate open this evening too.

after 3 weeks off it's so hard to get back to work! My brain hurts from thinking and it's a serious drain on my Animal Crossing time!

I left the gate open from earlier and noticed that Celeste is around as well as the shooting stars if anyone wants to pop over. I'm working on my site at the moment, so I won't be around, but the gate will open for a while yet. :)

Just checked on the Switch and noticed there was a communication error, so I've reopened the gate in case anyone wants to pop by to spot some more stars.

Oh, and someone's cleared out all the fossils again.

That’s ridiculous. I’m sorry, DM. I’ve got a few more in their raw state. I’ll bring them over tomorrow if you want to keep bothering. Demoralising, though, as Miki said. I don’t suppose you can check your logs to find the common visitor, and just unfriended them?

Yeah, I'll give it one more go and see how I get on :)

Gate is open again although all pretty quiet today (I guess hoping for three days in a row of shooting stars was a bit optimistic ;) )

I don't think my girls are guilty this time. I've drummed into them not to visit other peoples islands and fill their boots. Also, they were at school all day yesterday and only had a quick go before tea.

The plot thickens!

All I could go on were the 'I'm online' notifications as there doesn't seem to be any way of seeing who visited and island, so I asked a friend of mine who said the fossils were there when she was visiting and the only people to come online after that were Mimi, Romanista and your account. I've temporarily removed you from my friend list just so that I can narrow it down bit.. hope that's ok :)

Yeah, that's fine. That should stop them looting and pillaging! It's their viking genes taking over.

Maybe it was me all along (it wasn’t me). I always bung all my fossils into storage. I’ll pop over with what I have a bit later. Honestly really sorry that’s happened so many times.

Is there no way of seeing who has been to your island on a given day? [edit] I’ve just seen you say that there isn’t. I guess it could also be someone who was already online when you fired your console up.

I’ve dropped off another 14, and some songs. I know that there is a pattern to the fossils, but I don’t k ow what it is so I just dropped the fossils to the north of the fossils area. I took some bait to help me catch the pike, so thanks to whoever left that (probably Miki).

I have started to change up my islanders as I’ve not been given a new recipe in about a month and a half. The same old ones every day...

I didn't know the recipe depends on the islander. Is it based on their type?

yes, although many diys can be gotten from all types and also balloons and bottles are independant of villager types

but I am looking for a smug villager because those are most of the reactions I'm missing

As in, just an image file? Sure.

Just go to this handy site https://acpatterns.com/editor and upload your image, then convert it using the tools (there are a few different ways to arrange the palette, so click them all). Generate the QR code and either display it on another screen or print it. Then use your Nintendo Online app to scan the QR code in the ‘designs’ app. Open the custom designs app on your NookPhone and it will ask you if you want to import the design you scanned.

Not really. I haven’t looked to se what’s available, but will just pick them up as they come. I’m not after anything specific, just wonder why the obsession with peach surprise boxes and log benches.

I've added quite a few fossils and left some more bait (feel free @mimi, did you catch your Pike?)

Thank you for the explanation @mimi, I will look into it :)

Just a reminder that you can shake trees endlessly for acorns or pinecones
or for as long as your patience and A button can stand it
just clear space and shake again
if you don't care about pittance money then stick a bin close by for the branches
if you're frugal I recommend crafting tree branch wreath because it takes 10 branches and gets you 100 bells

and you can be lucky or unlucky ;)

I've not been over to your Island for a bit now DM and have more often than not said "hi" when I arrive even if there's nobody there to say hello back. It's a mystery! I'll start collecting up fossils to bring over again. I could always post some if that helps?

When my gate is open, I'm usually not at the console, so apologies for the lack of replies from me. :) I'm in no rush to get all the fossils... I'll get there gradually, but any donations are always welcome.

I visit most days but never say anything because I figure you're not there to see, but still end up feeling guilty for not being chatty :S I do, however, always wave at you if I see you in the airport, and I have no idea why :DD
