Scoring question. How do you allow for those getting zero in their own round?

Good point - I think we just assumed everyone would have a round. But they could just get the average for that round? That way one person's hard round doesn't advantage them any more than someone else's higher-scoring one.

I was coming here to ask that.

I can think of a few options.

1) multiply questioner's scores by 6/5
2) award the questioner the average score for that round.
3) remove one round's score from the non-questioners (best round/worst round?)
4) something else I have not thought of.

This is the correct answer. Otherwise you could just fuck everyone else over.

How many people are on tonight? If everyone has a round, then there's no need to worry about the scores is there? Or am I simplifying things too much?

There's normally about 9/10 people on, but if there are only 6 rounds, 3/4 people won't ask questions. Or, there'll be a very long quiz!

I'm on a third peroni in the pub so no questions from me but mrsA probably has a view on this as she has the banking app.

Agreed - we'll do this. Then argue over whether we should use mean or median.

Jem has 10 questions, and I have 10 questions.

We'll be acting as a "team" for the rest of it, but she doesn't know my answers and vice versa so shouldn't be too problematic ;)

Do we have a designated score keeper? Happy to do it if not.

I think we should take the mean, mode and median of the mean, mode and median, and then use the mean of those!

Yes, although it's another 'on call' week for me, but I've had no out-of-hours calls for weeks and this week is unlikely to be any different.
