After last night’s quiz and talk of previous Beex meetings I had a dream about one.

It was being held in a large country hotel. I arrived in my car and was wondering where to park. The car park was an odd shape, with spaces that were not in straight lines, and I had difficulty getting into a space.

In the bar I recognised a few Beex people and was introducing myself, as I’d never met any of them in person before.

While we were waiting for more to arrive we went for a swim in the hotel’s huge pool. I was floating around, minding my own business, and more Beexers were arriving, and a couple of rather boisterous members were depth charging into the pool, at which point we were thrown out of the pool by hotel staff for antisocial behaviour.

Then we were ushered into a large room, which I assumed was a function room we’d booked for Beex use. There seemed to be some people in there who weren’t Beexers, but as I only knew a few people, I only became aware of this when we were finding tables to sit together in groups.

That’s about all I can remember, although I vaguely remember something about a Beexer arriving towing a caravan and having an argument with hotel staff about where to park it.

How about everyone that can attend, knocks up 1 round of 10 questions each? less pressure than someone coming up with 50-70 questions?

I kind of like both of those. Imagining what's beyond the screen in everyone's rooms.

I'm about halfway through a quiz, so I'll aim to have that finished in case you fancy that.

JBR is a quiz machine.

(I'm happy to do one next week if we're short on volunteers btw. I strangely enjoyed doing questions for the last one Gaz and I did.)

I'd really prefer them gently left in a pocket. Feel free to linger just long enough to make it uncomfortable.

Hi everyone,

I'll put details up in the usual place around lunchtime. All options discussed above sound good so we'll see how things are looking later. I'm a bit starved of ideas at the moment, although I have been thinking about an esoteric scavenge hunt and ways to make Mafia or "Wavelength" work.

Have a fun Tuesday.

Great fun last night, thanks everyone.

We discussed splitting the quiz up between us for next week, so if six people want to write 10 questions each that would fill the time nicely. Nominate yourself and a topic/theme below. Any more and we'll carry some over for future sessions so it doesn't become too unwieldy.

As mentioned in conversation last night, I'm thrilled to be able to show you details of the 'first of its kind in the UK 'Cyclops'' junction, recently completed in Manchester.

How it looks from above.

I'm super pleased with them, just don't want the novelty to fade. And I thought perhaps some people had consistently been disadvantaged by them, but actually now I look at the scores, that's not really the case.

Still, I'll stick to verbal questions next week. (What is the set number of the Lego Death Star? How tall is a mini figure? What is an adult who likes/collects Lego sometimes known as?)

I've knocked up my round, had trouble keeping it to 10 songs, so it's 20, but it's the who sang this song round, which goes by quickly. A test run thru with my family took 12 minutes. So if I do 1/2 a point per question is that okay?

Also it took twice as long to write as it should have done as I kept listening to all of some of the songs!

So, I think we've got this lineup for tomorrow:

Jem - Food
Gazchap - TBA
JBR - TBA
Malc - Music
TheVision - TBA

All still ok? Anyone else?

I'll set things up as usual and also work out a running order.

Five is a good number of rounds but Six is probably the maximum. It also allows for a more natural halfway point. So if either of you want to write something, go ahead. Or save them for for another time.

The one I've written is a who sang this song, was it A or B? Like my queen/Freddie Mercury wham/George Michael round in the full quiz I did. So if you're doing name the song from the Intro that might be different enough. (The one that is half done is an intros round - but I can use that another week)
