Saw some lovely meteors last night and it was the first time I'd tried to catch the falling stars. The "making a wish" look is quite cute.

I did notice, but thank you :) I didn't mention it as I don't think visitors can really interact with Flick or CJ much?

No, I went and had a quick chat with Flick but you can’t do anything other than listen to him wax lyrical about bugs really.

yeah I knew that but I thought you might have missed her this morning
I was a little disappointment I couldn't ask for a statue after the bug-off, I've got so many I still want to ask for

If you have a list of ones you need, Miki, I can ask my Flick to make one each time he visits. I don’t collect the statues, so I’d be happy to catch some bugs (if I can!) and order them for you.

thanks mimi, that would be great. Would you like me to put it in the classifieds thread? then it would be easier to find
I would love to just drop the bugs off at yours, but there is no way to do it that I know of

Yes, pop it in the classifieds thread. The fish ones too, if you’re doing those.

And don’t worry about the bugs. It’ll give me a reason to go out bug hunting.

We're not doing fish for now, eventually when I am done with the flower breeding that area next to the museum will become the museums formal gardens and I think it would be nice if these statues could be in there too :)

plus katie is in love with the hermit crab for some reason :D

Hi Mimi,

I found a lovely toy box in the game if you'd like one sent to you. Figure it might do for the little one if he hasn't one already.

Does anybody have a spare cutting board? And even better yet a recipe for an ironwood dresser? I have a couple of awesome ironwood kitchen recipes but can't actually make them owing to lacking the preceding items.

The ladybird brolly I got from the Bug Off is just adorable by the way. I've been twirling it happily, Seinfeld style. Good timing as well, as I haven't seen it rain so hard as today in Animal Crossing. Strong winds, pelting rain, only missing the thunder and lightning.

I dropped something ironwood-y off at devilman's a while back but can't remember which. I can send you some bits though but it won't be til later on if that's OK as drowning in work today. :S

I’ve got the ironwood dresser and cutting board recipes, Pete. I’ll send you one of each today and another couple tomorrow as I think we’re limited to two letters a day. I’m sure Darwin would love the box. He’s just paid off his loan and got his basement so he’s suddenly got a lot of space that he’s decorating in his own unique way :D

So 161 this afternoon and tomorrows has now dropped to be between 148 and 160 so this is the top of the spike for me - its still early in the week but if anyone wants to sell let me know and i'll open the gate

I don’t know if this is of interest to anybody here, but Russell found a site (wuffs.org) where you can enter some data in and it will work out your weather pattern. It took about a week of adding weather data (best to check on or just after the ‘hour’) and yesterday found our weather pattern. Good for catching phenomena such as rainbows, aurora borealis is in winter and, perhaps most importantly, meteor showers. It actually gives you the time of each meteor to the second, but I think just as a guide to when they might start and stop it’s handy, because I’ve not seen one on my town for over two months, but I’m clearly just not on at the right time.

Screenshots below.

so there was this girl that wanted to make stone stools to go with her stone table
and for many many weeks she looked for the recipe and hoped for the recipe and she put the recipe in the classifieds
and many weeks passed but there was no stone stool

then someone on the internet said: "isn't that in the beginners pack in the Nooks Cranny?"
yes, yes it is

and the girl felt an utter fool, but was very happy
the end

Saharah is around again (I wasn't much for the rug, wallpaper and flooring that I bought, so I've left them for anyone else). I forget the turnip price - 123 I think.

Managed to catch the chonky fish and a TON of bugs this morning. Lots of lots of new beetles about this month! Looking forward to the weekend and seeing what's around in the daytime as I sometimes miss this only doing early mornings and late evenings.

my issue is the opposite, I never play that late so I better catch some early morning

A friend and I were catching bugs on our respective islands last night and I was surprised at just how many new ones were showing up. The Cicada Shell bug has its own stamp for some reason too.
