Thanks Miki - sold my turnips and got a quick walk round the island - and yes same things as flump but in a different style and I love the pier

I'm still at the stage of building houses for my villagers :-)

That's not a bad idea that! Honestly... You should see the state of the island now my girls have taken over it.

@zaphod, I meant the diys at the museum are pretty much the same as on flump :)

@thevision, i can't imagine! I will have to visit as they both invited me, what are their names? I cant keep calling all three of you ross
they visited me in turn one evening I'm pretty sure, but looking exactly the same and both not speaking a word but each leaving a message on the board:

Brilliant... They're Lilian and Nancy but they both play under the same character.

I assume KK Slider is around today because of the Bug Off event happening tomorrow.

When I saw him, I genuinely spent 5 minutes wondering if it was somehow Saturday without me realising.

Turnips are 563 this morning. Sorry, I’ve been a bit unwell the last few days so not kept up and only just checked, but if anyone has any turnips to shift and can make it over in the next 20 mins, the gate is open x

I have put some more recipes on Flump, Devilman I have put the bamboo series and the cardboard series on the grass to create some more space, I hope that's ok. I alphabetized the rest again and left a space here and there where possible.

Thanks Miki. I'll take a look later :) Usually when there's overflow, I can usually find one or two recipes that I don't personally have already which gets the numbers down. At least you've saved me the task of checking if they've gone out of order again though, so thanks for that too :D

I thought I'd leave a couple of spare plots in case Olaf, who has moved in from your island, starts to annoy me ;)

ooh he annoyed me! it was so cute though, I told Katie to ignore him, she asked why I said I'd like him to move on because he was snooty
Katie all up in arms full of indignation: that's no reason not to like someone because they are snooty!!
so this went on for a while until I finally understood she didn't know what the English word snooty meant, she thought I didn't like him because he had a snout :luv:

Why is it that when I'm not doing a bug-off round, there's bugs everywhere, but when I start I can't find any? :DD

@devilman, are those colourful wheels expensive? If they aren’t too pricey could I be a bit cheeky and ask if you’d send one for Darwin. He made me stand in your town spinning it over and over, and seems to really love it, so I’d like to get him one.

Dropped by and set down a few recipes. I don’t seem to have had any new ones for weeks now. Managed to get all of the prizes in the big off yesterday. Mostly due to Russell’s hard work.

Next week I will open my gates for bug off. You seem to get *many* more points when you do bug off at another island and in a group, and my islands is relatively open (average eight or nine bugs per round with a single person) with a good few bug spawn sites next to the town hall: Russell had a quick go with DM yesterday and caught only a few but all the multipliers really stack up, so if we can get a few people together that’d be good.

Do you have a list somewhere Zaphod? I’ve got a few fossils in storage I’ve not had assessed yet, so I can take them to Blathers to have them looked at.

My missing list :

Acanthostega
Australopith
Brachio Pelvis
Brachio Tail
Dimetrodon Skull
Diplo Tail
Pachy Tail
Parasaur Torso
Plesio Tail
Quetzal Torso
T. Rex Tail

I've ferried about 2 loads over to Flump so its fossil area is pretty full now if anyone else is still on the lookout for some

I'd noticed the multiplying effect earlier in the day so when you (well, Russell) started a round off, I stopped what I was doing to see if I could chip in with a few bugs :D

Yeah, as Russell was playing I could just about make you our running in the background! I think with three or four people it should be pretty good multiplying up. My island has very little paving and a lot of flowers, etc near where Flick sets up, with no buildings or furniture in the way, but if somewhere has a better island we could go there instead. If not, I’ll open the island up next Month for the bug off. See if we can get those gold trophies.

Nothing much to report today, but the gate is open:

https://twitter.com/underlogic_sw/statu ... 7265169409

Yesterday, I tried a couple of experiments:
- can you release a shark into a pond (yup)
- does anything special happen if you buy the million-bell crown and then give it to an islander (nope.. although Sylvia might be wearing it for a while :) )

Oh and there may be a few star fragments around, so if anyone needs some for a recipe, feel free.

I had post from a villager with a present
and it turned out to be a fake statue from Redd!
I hope they start sending me real ones!
anyone looking for a fake informative statue?
