So, your pier is the most beautiful thing in the game, Miki!!

Here’s something to melt your heart. The other day I was talking to Darwin to say I wanted to make something, and I was thinking of getting some clay (to make a paint little models with).

Yesterday he said to me ‘why do you want CLAY, Mummy?’ and I told him to make crafts with, like animals and things. So tonight my letterbox was blinking and there was a little letter ‘To mummy, love from Darwin XXX’ with five little bits of in-game clay.

aww that is so adorable! :luv: he's so lovely :luv:
I hope he loves the icecream, I've sent it
I can see him put one in his house

the pier is this, I've seen another one but that took 7 slots (one per colour) and slots are precious :)

Oh gosh, this made me well up :'( :luv:

Miki, that pier is gorgeous! I've totally neglected that area of my island, need to browse for more inspiration.

I never realised you could even put stuff on the pier - I'll have to have a think about what to do with mine. Although, as Miki says, design slots are precious - I used 14 on the maze alone just to avoid the black bits peeking out from under the wall corners :D

I too had Celeste on my island last night but it was pretty late when I spotted her, so I didn't open the gates up. Only a handful of stars to be seen, sadly. I did get the unfortunate-sounding Cancer Table recipe though "The doctor will see you now... just hop on to the cancer table"

Gate is open:

https://twitter.com/underlogic_sw/statu ... 9965179905

- Leif is here
- the item in the upper-right of the shop is a ring
- Turnips are 132 this morning, so not too bad.. it'll be interesting to see what they are this afternoon
- I've sorted out all the fossils kindly dropped off yesterday and removed the duplicates
- Recipe area is getting rather full now, so it might be worth a cursory nose through to see if there's any you don't have yet as I'm probably going to start selling off the crappier ones :)

I've reopened the gate now. :) Not sure if it was your end or mine, but if it happens again, I'll try restarting my router and see if that helps.

Thank you for the recipes Miki, you're a star. Just dropped off a load of recipe duplicates at DM's Humble Jumble.

It said I’m there was a problem with the destination island, so I’m blaming you, DM ;) It was all fine on the second visit, so I’ve dropped quite a few recipes off, but they are a bit scattered, I’m afraid. I could see where Dimrill had been for a drop and others had found some recipes, so tried to fill in those gaps as best I could and then added some more up top.

I was right.. I did need it, so thank you. :) And thank you to those who left recipes and grabbed some of the spare ones. I've tidied them all up again. I've already forgotten what the afternoon turnip price was.. 143 I think. Gate is open again.

Mine is small spike but will be tomorrow and Friday morning with a low of at least 141 in case anyone needs to dump theirs on Friday

What's the chance of actually losing Bells on the turnips? Is it likely, or will there always be a day higher than that you bought them for?

If your just on your own island and no chance of getting off it then yes you can absolutely lose money on them
I think with the tracker and the opportunity of visiting peoples islands here then if you buy for around 100 or so then you either wont lose or worst case you'll lose a very small amount (if you leave it last minute)

I had the decreasing pattern a few weeks ago and I'd have lost around 1/2 my money if i did not get the chance to sell them elsewhere

(note I'm only putting about 50-70k into Turnips as I'm still paying off my house and I've not really started on any island projects yet and I'm sure there are safer ways to just churn out money but I dont view this as a game to min/max)

I got 142 today so I sold for them for that - was all my money so would've horrible if they'd dropped! Maybe I should think about these things more....
Oh wow how much does the house end up costing?!

Is there a proper path-making tool availabe at some point? I was considering going around placing designs on each bit of ground but I feel there's surely a better way.

yes after kk slider concert you get terraforming and path laying, if you want to come visit any of our islands you will see different paths and you can move land and rivers

Nope, wasn't me - I was planning on adding a few people from the first post but haven't got round to it yet
On that note, I'm SW-7209-2370-4135, Island is 'Lowee' and I'm just "Cookie" on there.

Ahh! Good! I look forward to unlocking that stuff, I feel I could've chosen a better island in terms of river layout..

You are sometimes a little limited - however you can terraform it all at a later point so its not that much of an issue and from memory the only thing you can mess up as such in the initial pick is to get an island that has no ponds as some fish only spawn in ponds rather than rivers or the sea so you cant catch them on your island but you can on other islands and then you can make your own ponds later

If it's "Sandy" that's my daughter, although I don't think she's played much this week.

I've fond out it's a friend of Devilman's, I was taken aback last week to get a friend request from someone who'se name I did recognise but I knew I hadn't given her my switch number, so I realised you can look for players you have been playing with. I didn't know that before. That girl I had met with dodo code, this girl I had met on Flump :)

I'm still on for a large spike this afternoon 156 now so fingers crossed for a nice high price and I will let you all know when I open my gate
for the ppl who havent visited before, island name is Charming and there are spare recipes by the museum, though mostly doubles of flump

Is anyone else super looking forward to autumn? I like the slow pace of AC so am not wishing the time away, but I've seen some people's pictures of mushrooms and brown leaves and it just makes me super excited :D

Hey guys! My 'nips are at 195 so I'm going to open my gates in five minutes for the rest of the morning, should you want to drop by. :)

I also have a small free recipe stand to the left of the entrance on the beach, so stop by there too.

ARGH! Mine is now 425 this afternoon bells and I sold this morning at 195 expecting a crash!

Oh well, I have a million in the bank now - before top floor house upgrade - so I guess I shouldn't be churlish. It's probably a good thing I have some incentive to get the harvest in. :D

I think my eldest may have eaten them all.
