I cribbed bits from all over the internet, and wrote the code bits myself. Python is fun!

Decided to repaint the office.

Noticed some loose paint, half the wall came off, then spent the rest of the day, scraping, sanding and swearing..

Repainted and moved the office around.

I’ve done a LOT of stuff but running fairy lights round the garden has had the most impact on lockdown cheer. Only £20 for 100m, mains powered!

Wow, furniture making is certainly an art, so well done. Your own design or did you crib it from somewhere else?

The finish is excellent. What varnish did you use?

You would love some of the wiring at my place. That feeds a double socket.

I have replaced the motor, rewired the light and swapped out the rheostat foot pedal for something a bit more modern and controllable, in my 50s sewing machine.
Put it all back together and it worked first time! That was more luck than judgement...

Note the ziplock back rammed in the middle to stop the speed-thingy from shorting onto the resistor-thingys.
