Dangerous activities like horse riding, non-essential motorbiking, rock climbing etc should be stopped. The last thing the hospitals are going to need is someone coming a cropper and showing up with head trauma or compound fractures of the leg or spinal injuries.

I think you were being sarcastic, but this is actually the time frame I was thinking of.

Well this morning, my boss started by saying that he agreed with Trump's 'WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF' tweet and that reducing the number of deaths isn't necessarily worth all these lockdown measures. He's becoming quite the Mike Ashley.

I've got to collect my weekly shopping from Tesco this morning. I imagine it'll be like Mad Max on the car park.

Convinced myself I was showing symptoms yesterday, because my breathing was a bit strange all day - I didn't feel short of breath, but my breaths were very shallow (not sure if that distinction makes sense - it's difficult to describe). Not until the evening did I remember my daughter's now nightly ritual of climbing up me (while I'm sitting on the sofa), and basically standing on my chest in order to reach the shelf above me to check if the treasure fairies have left her any chocolate (a thing that started as a means of rationing the chocolate coins she got for Christmas, and one which I'm now regretting).

Fun times!

Laying in bed last night, and the woman upstairs spent about an hour coughing away. Must have been pretty bad to be able to hear it through the ceiling!

I feel you on that. I changed vape liquid and my nose has been running and I've been coughing a bit. It definitely eats at your mind a little.

I'm just trying to keep my mind busy at the moment.

Being in quarantine is a great time for a tooth to start playing up isn't it?

The dentist recommended it came out a few years ago but since it wasn't causing me any pain, it stayed... Looks like it's just started to cause me pain. Perfect...

Filled in the form on the Halifax website to get a mortgage payment holiday for the next 3 months yesterday morning, just had a text this morning saying it has been granted.
I was expecting it to be a lot more of a fight than that, and for them to take longer to get round to it.

If you haven't checked your provider's website, have a look. One of my colleagues was on the phone for a hour before getting cut off, so the website seems the better option!

In other exciting news, I cut my own hair this morning, and it actually looks half respectable. Seemed the safest time to give it a go. I was tempted to see what kind of beard I could grow, nobody would want to see that, even on a video call.

Only if you think you might struggle to pay your mortgage over the next three months. Otherwise you’ll pay more interest for no reason.

I've had to go back down to 4 days a week, and take a 30% pay cut on top of that for the next few months, so it was worth doing for me!
Like myp says, it'll cost more in the long run, so if you can avoid it then that is better.

Compared to normal times at this hour, hardly anyone at the beach. Those that were out all stayed away from each other, too, with nods of acknowledgment.

Looks like I'm getting furloughed from April. At least it'll give me a chance to hopefully shake off these damn symptoms, although it's mainly fatigue right now... by 4pm I just want to head back to bed.

That's my normal!

Seriously though, I hope you're okay.

This is my first full day of working from home, I'm looking forward to being able to keep in touch with people as they message me rather than trying to catch up with everything after work. I've had to turn the news off though or I'll get nothing done.

I've certainly done that before. :D

Unfortunately not having access (at the moment) to my work emails or intranet means those of us waiting at home don't really know what's going on in the prison system, I've just recorded the BBC news about prisons and shared it in our WhatsApp group. The guys on the ground at the moment don't really have the time to keep us updated. :(

Sorry, I can see how that read. At the moment compliance is high, but it's taking a lot of time to take individual things (such as food) to individual cells and now the officers have to do what prisoners working parties would normally do to keep things ticking over, e.g take the laundry.

There's a noticeable police presence about, the play park is ziptied shut. That was my mandated exercise for the day.
