A lot of places seem to have taken the preorder shipping date off the guidebook, so I’m not sure it will arrive even then. I guess it’s all a bit uncertain at the mo.

Not yet, it’s only opened up today and Darwin has the controls, but I’ll list it later.

It's not a stand alone app.. It's via the Nintendo Switch app. Do you have that?

I did wonder what the Nookling thing was all about. I've just installed the Switch app and connected it up to my Animal Crossing game, so it all looks to be live.

Ah, yes! I do have that. I didn’t realise. Thank you!

I also assumed that we’d need separate friend codes for AC (because Nintendo), but it’s just Switch friends. Apparently you can do pretty much nothing the first time you visit, but if you make best friends then it’s a bit more open.

My Switch Code: SW-4092-0994-1614
I’ll add them all to first post if you like? Or are they listed in the switch thread?

It might be worth adding the Island names in the first post too as when travelling to another island, it only seems to show the island name and not whose island it is.

My code: SW-4077-9877-7294
Island name: Flump

I can't see the harm in adding them to this thread. I'll be adding mine as soon as the game turns up... And I get chance to play it.

I think we should all start talking excitedly about Animal Crossing on Switch, and maybe E3 will give us a release date.

What weird villagers will sit on my bed in my absence and post me a spider and a barber’s chair for my birthday, with no thought for the poor postie pelican?

Although I've only played it for a couple of hours so far and none of what I've seen has been particularly groundbreaking, it's nice to play an Animal Crossing game again. I only really spent a lot of time on the Gamecube version as the Wii version didn't grab me and I don't really play much in the way of DS/3DS games, but this version is all rather lovely and the dialogue has raised a few smiles already so far. The comfy slippers of gaming. :)

Took me a while to realise to treat all the rocks as if they were bell-rocks. I.e. dig holes so you can't be pushed back and you should get 8 out of each one quite easily.

I was wishing this blasted rain would disappear as it's scaring away the insects. Then I caught an Oarfish and a Coelacanth one after the other. :S

Here, in Jem’s tent. I’ve put a load of spare fruit by my airport and will just open the gate around 7:15-7:30, if any of it is useful to anyone. There are some peaches on trees you are welcome to, as well, these ones are just the ones that Darwin harvested this morning.

Cool Kern! Looking forward to seeing you in it. Naturally I hope you will be wearing predominantly blue. Perhaps I could wear butternut grey and we could have an ongoing war of stealing each others fruit?

Can I have m'beard in it?

I have never played an Animal Crossing before and I've actually not played anything on the Switch at all, but Steve bought me the game and I have been playing it!
First I started an Island and the Katie started an Island and then we found out neither of them were saved because we stopped too soon.
Then I made an Island then Katie wanted to make an Island and we found out she could only share my island
And I don't know how to fish but I caught two fish and I don't know how I did it
I have no airport yet and I don't know our code but will find out at some point
oh and I have pears

You definitely have an airport as you arrived at it, but it is likely not open yet! Yes, you share an island with family. There is so much to explore and expand. I’m finding it very much peaceful and comforting and hope you are also. What native fruit do you have?

I was hoping to find different fruits on the Nook Mileage islands, but apart from a couple of bamboos all of the 8 I've paid for have been peaches >:|

Oh, I forgot to mention my islanders. I have Sly the Alligator and Kat the cat. I don’t like Kat very much so hope maybe someone else will move into her place another day.

I found coconuts on the island, and bamboo, but yes my island visits have been peaches.
