Very nice! A small suggestion on the Termies, if I may - a little edge highlighting would properly make the red pop, I think.

Black in the piping at the back of their knees and any other joints, and just run a light drybrush of leadbelcher over them to pick up the ridge. :P

You know, some of them have dark back knees... I keep thinking I've gone round them all but then find batch jobs I haven't done on some. I swear to Pob someone keeps adding purity seals to them.

Also, in the Grimdark, Terminators sure love a bit of bling!

I just do this and try and use natural light (anything but flash). Gives your camera/phone a good white balance too.

Amazingly easy to do too.

Undercoat black, mix a milk thin cream coloured paint of your choice andslosh it around. Pooled areas will come out lighter, thinner blue. Then I used some weathering powder to add patches of orange and a thin brown to add veins.

I'd just like to say I'm proper in awe of the skill and patience on display here. I get stressed out slapping white emulsion on a hallway wall, I can't imagine the control all of these take. Bloody excellent work everyone!

I feel the same, I look at this stuff and think I'd like to give it a go, and it looks reasonably possible from the photos. Then if you pick up a mini and actually see the size of it, I have no idea how a lot of this stuff is even possible.

I'm getting old, my close up vision isn't as good as it used to be, no way i'd be able to focus enough on what I was trying to paint.

You'd be surprised how large they feel once you start. It was only after going to Warhammer World and seeing the displays that made me go "huh, these are small". It's odd. Do it!

Will have to try to take better photos - there is much more gradation in the highlighting on the black areas than shows up ....

Tidy work, Kissyfur. Are these from a while back that you’ve dug out or recently done?

The chap with the power sword was one I did a while ago, but I painted his mate in the last couple of days. I fancied a break from terrain building, and what with all this being at home I have been digging out old miniatures to paint... I’ve got quite a lot - I should probably either do the old space hulk set or the rest of the imperial assault minis..!
