This is soon! Just over two weeks away!

:D

We have 19 people, and as such both cottages.

There may therefore need to be a modest uplift to the cost of cottaging, though I am exceptionally keen that this doesn’t put anyone off attending at all, so am happy to sort things out if anyone is skint and that.

game spreadsheet for 2019

Please fill out with any games you are bringing / can bring. So those of us coming by public transit (hello!) can prioritise bag space for games other people aren't already bringing.

Also: I am quite likely going to run an RPG one-shot this year. Not sure what yet, possibly The Sprawl.

Yes, probably.

Max expectation is an extra £20 per person. Might be less. Not sure, and fine to pay on the day or whenever. If this genuinely causes anyone an issue then just let me know via PM and I’ll make sure it’s okay.

Also as much as DocG's spreadsheet is useful, what might be more useful (or at least as useful) is a list of what people want brought. At the moment only 3 or 4 people have added games to the spreadsheet, I imagine more people are bringing games, but perhaps some are in same position as me, with very limited space, but could bring many different games.

On a related note, Mop are you bringing your Xwing stuff on the day you come? If so, I could actually bring mine this time! If not Myp, is anyone else?

What's in your collection Malc? And what do you particularly want to play?

I don't have a list on Boardgamegeek, although most of my friends do (one does it for insurance purposes). I list and bring a large selection because I've the space in the car and like being able to choose depending on mood. If I had to reduce it all, I'd take one party game, one medium length Eurogame, and Ticket To Ride.

I would like to play:

Ticket To Ride (possibly a non-US edition; I like Scandinavia and Asia)
Captain Sonar
Flamme Rouge
Some sort of card game that involves making shit up a la Snake Oil or Superfight
Maybe Codenames or some sort of version thereof
Something I haven’t played before

Of My games, I think Tortuga and Deadwood are really good. The Maze game leads to some frantic moments. I have not played the 3rd century game yet (the American one) but the other two are great fun, if a little in depth, (they also combine together to make more games ) Santorini is simple but quite tactical (between 2-6 and people).

As for other games, I liked the F1 game, I liked the Nottingham game, Xwing, then it's always fun, just seeing other games.

I love Magic Maze. Whenever I play it, it turns out just when I think all my friends are complete idiots and not seeing the obvious, they start banging the "token of imbecility" at me.

Both good. "Funemployed" is another good one but it hasn't fallen into my shopping cart yet.

In a similar vain, I'm bringing "Champion of the Wild". The game that settles those all important questions about whether a duck would do better at the slalom than an armadillo or squid.

Correct.

I meant a game where the entire mechanic is just making shit up and winning or losing a round.

That said, I also want to play SoN as it looked fun when y’all were playing it.

APOD. It’s fun, if a little limited in depth. Some beautifully annoying cards in it.

I particularly enjoyed the hand where I broke the game and made the whole table lose simultaneously.
