I struggled a bit with Assassin's Creed's text when I moved to my new flat (because the TV was further away from the couch).

Isn’t it because the text is designed for 4K TVs on new games now? Much like how I couldn’t read the Dead Rising text until I bought an HD TV.

You'd think, but the thing myp references about text being unreadably small on Dead Rising on a CRT was a true thing that happened so it seems possible this is that again? Well, either that or it's just being 'calibrated' on TVs that are bigger and/or closer to the seat than mine.

Yes I had the same thing with the instructions on Morgan's Pies but I got my specs prescription changed following an eye test and now the pie text is fine.

<60> refurbished Corsair H80i V2 from Scan.

I'm such a dippy sometimes. I forgot the reason I ditched my old case was because the 14 core CPU got very angry on a single thickness 120mm AIO. So what did I do? Bought a 16 core doh.

Not really. I've not even been out of the house much in the past 6 weeks. I'm eating half what I was due to two of the meds being ones that make you hungry and stop IBS.

It's the travel that costs me the most (£30 to and fro my mother's) and so on and I've not been over in a month. Am here now though.

You need to remember I don't drink, don't smoke, don't socialise and have no friends. Now I don't eat much either.

TBH yes it's a lot of money to spend in such a short time but in 16 months the only electronic thing I bought was a new phone. SSD prices were daft, memory prices were a joke and GPU upgrades a laughing stock. £1300 for the only real upgrade to my Titan XP bought in June 2017 (I'd need a 2080ti with a water block to best it) so yeah, I can save money extremely quickly. Especially when I'm not spending £200+ a month to travel.

Oh wait hang on. Some of that stuff was what I bought ages ago but hadn't added to the year tally.

I didn't understand that you needed to put stuff in brackets to tot it up so Bamba told me and I added in things I'd bought hence the £650 in 3 weeks. It's much less than that fella.

<99.99> Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition.

Turns out my morals are flexible when it comes to Epic. The world is dying anyway and we're going to be fucking extinct soon. May we well go out playing fun videogames sold by slaver cunts.

Mrs Hearthly has bought it too so that's £200 on the game between us.

The Epic Launcher and the way it works is fucking shite, bounces you off to the website for some things and is generally awful.

If you look at the pricing there's not much in it (£10) between buying the Standard Edition and Season Pass (for the expansions) separately, and just buying the Super Deluxe Edition, which gets you the Season Pass and a shitload of other goodies as well.

There's one inbetween the two that makes no sense at all (doesn't include the Season Pass), so best just to get the Super Deluxe Edition.

This is assuming of course that the expansions are as good as the ones that BL2 got, since they don't actually exist yet.

TBH it was the latest Jim Sterling video that tipped me over the edge into jumping early:

I'm loving BL3.

Really am enjoying it despite it crashing once, black screening my xb once and making it overheat lmao.

It's still a good game. Not as funny as others but still has made me lol many a time.

Not sure I'd drop a oner on it, but tbf if the dlc is good enough and this winter shit enough l'll prolly end up in the hole for that much any way.

I watched the video earlier. He's right. Tiny things make a huge difference. I've found character costumes and hats etc and whilst it does very little it's nice to have. Like when the game is at the menu screen I like to pose with the LB lol.

I'm most impressed with my pal's skeletor outfit too.

I really don't see why.

BL2 is one of my most played games ever, and me and Mrs Hearthly really enjoyed our co-op playthrough of it.

Gearbox have pushed out the required early patches for BL3 now, and by all accounts the game is good, solid, 'More Borderlands' fun, albeit with weaker humour and characters than BL2.

Both me and Mrs Hearthly are really enjoying playing videogames together (we're having a blast in WoW Classic), and as Jnr is a bit more independent in a lot of ways now, it's nice for us to have the time together doing something we have fun with.

Yes of course the game will be cheaper in time, but we want to play it now! :)

I don't think the characters are weak. There's even some very famous ones, or piss takes of them with exact voices.

The bosses are staggering. Especially the one we're stuck on now. Some boss battles take a good 20-30 mins.
