Cool. I'd have liked to have seen the mixed doubles as they're usually very entertaining, but I'm working standby hours this weekend so was out until 9pm

Been buying more of the 'Really Useful Box' range, as some of the sizes come in handy for retro stuff (and the clip-on lids work well). Today was the turn of the shoe-size box to store floppies in -

Yeah, ours was the same then the connector broke. Wasn't worth replacing it.

Something dull, I suspect. It's a fairly mediocre book about a wizard in modern America, but it's filling the Dresden hole until Jim Butcher gets off his lazy arse and writes his next one.

Obsidian Sun, if you're interested.

Mrs Hearthly wanted a Bluetooth speaker so I bought her this. It's a JBL 'Flip 3'.

How do they get such a full sound out of such a small speaker? As Hearthly Jnr likes to say (about everything), 'That's insane!'

Only sixty quid as well. It's quite weighty and well put together, size wise it's kind of the same dimensions as a 500ml can of lager.

The Bluetooth pairing is really quick and painless, and apparently it does 10 hours playback on a single charge.

I'm envious :) I've been keeping an eye out for a cheap Vectrex as I've owned a few games for a while now, but never had the console. There's a French site that sells a multicart for it too.

I was also going to post a link to the multicart - there were only a limited number of games ever made for the system so you can have them all :-)

There's also this one that has 101 games so I'm guessing there's a lot of homebrew stuff on there... It also looks nicer... and is more expensive.

At £130 I think it does everything I need (a big display saying "faster!"). Then, MrsA wanted one, too.

As I don't have the money/PC/space for full-on VR, and as they're on offer as part of Amazon Prime Day, I now have an Oculus Go. Seems pretty good so far. The low battery life might be a nuisance, but I don't imagine I'll be using it for long periods anyway.

EDIT - forgot the photo (Knuckles sold separately)
