Bit shit that it's not transferable. Is it the same game?

It is, although I don't object to paying twice for it because they've gone to great lengths to explain that they've essentially rewritten the game from the ground-up to optimise for Quest, and that it's taken them almost a year. Devs gotta eat too, and it truly is a brilliant game.

BeatSaber on the other hand, can fuck off. They've just bumped the price up to £23 because it's left early access, but the main attraction for me was playing custom songs which isn't available on Quest (and may not be depending on how easy it is to "hack" it in) - and £23 isn't really worth it for the meagre amount of content it has out of the box IMO.

Maybe it should be the Grim…-FF7 scale. Not sure.

It seems massively unlikely that TheVision isn't the standard scale here. He'll buy anything as many times as you'll sell it to him.

£200-£300

Tops. I usually pay around £30ish per game and only really buy co op games now.

<22.99> BeatSaber (Oculus Quest)

Turns out it has more content in the release version than I thought it did, and there are already promising strides towards getting user-generated content to work, so my "BeatSaber can fuck off" is rescinded.

That and it's still awesome, even just the demo that I played last night.

Did you buy this through the Xbox store or on disc? It doesn't seem to available in the UK store.

It was the XBox Store, it wasn't there on the 20th but it was there yesterday when I got home from work.

Doing a search for 'Sonic' it was about the 6th thing in the list, for some reason.

Sweet. Found it now. Had to sort by price, high to low, weirdly.

PS1 and PC, as far as I can remember.

I played it on the PSP too, but I didn't buy that version.

Ah! That sounds right. I would have used the same files as the PSP.

I knew it was £4 on Epic. (Bamba pointed it out in the gaming megathread.) I do not agree with Epic's business practices and will not support them.

EDIT - That's the same reason I didn't download it when it was free on Epic either, I saw the story on Eurogamer at the time.

Wait. Why don't we like Epic? I thought we liked Epic?

They pay the developers more and it doesn't cost the consumer any extra.

They've done some allegedly shady data mining stuff and no one like exclusivity, which they've gone in for in a relatively big way in order to try and make a name for themselves.

I'm not giving an opinion with that, just trying to headline the complaints people have.

Oh, also, the recent stuff that's come to light about how hard they fuck their staff to keep up Fortnite delivery schedules. Which Valve neatly sidestep by just never developing any fucking games any more.

At least Valve actually made their own games (at the time.....), Epic aren't even making anything, they're just swinging their money dicks around to snag exclusives and give customers a worse experience as a result.

If BL3 (for example) was available on Steam and Epic, with it costing a bit more on Steam, I don't think anyone would complain.
