I unfollowed someone on Twitter today because they posted three or four messages asking people not to be silly and post spoilers before they watched it, then an hour later posted loads of spoilers.

I’m not actually that bothered about the spoilers, but the double ended self-centredness of it was too much.

I've just been asked to play drums in a brass band competition in Blackpool in 3 weeks time... What could go wrong?

Your mate goes back to clowning, then crosses the line, and You discover the live interest is actually a company stooge sent to close down the mine

You could try to impress the judges with a stick toss, only for a passing crow to knock your drumstick far from the stage, where it falls in such a way that it impales a young child in the ear and squishes their juvenile brain out of the opposite ear and all over the lady standing next to the young child, who happens to have a really rare raw brain fetish and starts orgasming uncontrollably, the sound of her shrieks attracting a nearby herd of cattle which runs in and tramples the crowd to death.

For instance.

I left Scotland 19 years and 3 days ago (Friday before the bank holiday) to move to Southampton , and started the job I had found 19 years ago tomorrow (the Tuesday after the bank holiday)

An eventful weekend then :-)

Right so I just need to nominate this one for POTW , someone has to put a badly photo-shopped picture of Gaz on here with a slight green tinge and then Zardoz will morph it into a Burtank with the Incredible Hulk for the body part.

Everyone ready ?

Go !

It’s amusing how long ago cricket was played in America and baseball over here, despite their almost zero popularity in those countries now.

After half of a glass of Cherry Pepsi I thought it tasted a bit weird. Imagine my surprise when it was Raspberry Pepsi, which I didn't even know existed.

Yeah I like that and I don't even like peaches very much.

My mother just called announce that she had found me some strawberry Coke today at the local place where they sell everything that's going out of date. I look forward to that.

As for Raspberry Pepsi? well it's quite nice. After my brain had realised I wasn't drinking Cherry Pepsi that was.

I went into one of those out of date shops, the range of fizzy drinks was amazing. No wonder they can't shift them though, as they only seem to be sold in those shops, if they sold the full range in the supermarkets, I expect they wouldn't go out of date...

All last summer they had cucumber 7up. It was totally amazing. Tasted like eating a cucumber sandwich whilst sipping lemonade.

What wasn't so nice was the mint 7up. Fuck me that was like swallowing mouthwash.

The worst alt-flavoured thing I've tried was Ice-cream flavoured Monster Munch.

Oh and that fake cold tasting Irn Bru... or was it Tizer... bleurgh.

Holy shit, I've just discovered that the root cause of all Unity created games crashing on launch on my PC is...because I've got Citrix installed! Of all the stuff to conflict those two certainly wouldn't have been on my list.

For anyone that cares, it's because Citrix installs a virtual display adaptor for some reason and when Unity is enumerating those it comes back in a format it's not expecting. That is fixed in a later version of Unity but for older games--Forgotton Anne and 11-11 Memories Retold in my case--you're still going to hit the problem. Uninstalling that virtual display adaptor allows stuff to launch correctly.

Which has probably fucked my remote access to my work PC of course, but that's a problem for another day.

This evening was unexpectedly exciting! Before I'd had chance to take my shoes off next door arrived to say there were a load of bees on one of their trees.

3 hours later and Helen's second hive is colonised again. They were properly mardy by the end but they're in a box with ready made honeycomb and honey so hopefully they'll stay put.

Also hopefully the first hive, which the swarm almost certainly came from, has a successful new queen and carries on.

Aw, sad but sensible reasoning. Though, he also mentions all of the faxes he received in 2015, so I guess the chalk market is one that finds it hard to ride the progress wave.

I have been googling cram schools. They sound fun :s

Anyone doing proms this year?

Aiming to get tickets to a Beethoven/Shostakovich one in July and a performance of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique in September. As with previous years my usual prombuddy and I will both log on when the web site opens tomorrow morning and the first to get through will try to get seats.

Whilst I like the idea of the cheap on-the-day standing tickets I don't live close enough to the Smoke to queue up. Still, I did it once in 1999 when I was 17 so can tick it off.

Thankfully they're all broadcast on the Third anyway so no fear of missing out.
