Question: did Tony dust Gamora?

No, I don’t think so; the scene after Thor says goodbye to Valkyrie, before he status talking to the Guardians, Quill is looking at a screen with Gamora’s picture that says “searching...” Felt to me like clear setup for GotG3. Its not clear where she went, but perhaps there was a couple of minutes of footage of her slipping away that was cut for pacing or length.

Just thinking again. Don’t think I have had such a rush of adrenaline from a movie as I got from “On your left” through the following few minutes.

So good. I missed some lines - watching it in Italy, I wonder if the dialogue level was down a little because it's less important when so many are reading the Italian subtitles, and they are also more likely to chat straight after one good line, without waiting for the follow up. But still, so many lines ("I know", some of Thor's bits with his mum, Cap and Stark) had real heft and meaning to them, in a short space of time. Obviously they can film multiple times to get it right, but that's true of many films and still they miss bits or whatever. In this - well yeah, heft, character.

I was shaking, holding back tears of joy all through that section. So glad it was a 3d film and the shades could hide most of it...

It was like watching everything in tilt shift for the most part. There were 3d elements, but it didn't overwhelm anything

Kinda felt like she didn't really want to be there in this movie tbh. Was just there for the likely sizable paycheck (same for Natalie Portman).

She probably finds the MCU too gritty and grounded in reality to be believable, compared to her day to day life of selling $500 vagina crystal eggs.

That was awesome, but what year is it now? I take it we're still 5 years in the future (from whenever Infinity Wars was set), but everyone who disappeared just came back?
Also, they were fairly clear on their time travel rules for going backwards, but Thanos came forwards in time, then died, so never got the infinity stones. How does that work?

As much as I'd love to see gotg3 with Thor, I got the feeling that was a sign off from the original Avengers, including Hulk and Hawkeye, so they'll have just dropped him off somewhere.

Hemsworth seems to love everything about being Thor except the necessary fitness and dietary regimen to get super fucking ripped. And now Thor is conveniently rotund! What a coincidence!

Also I thought that whole scene was very clearly a setup for Asgardians of the Galaxy and I bet he’ll be sticking around for it. We might not be done with Banner, either.

It's also an existing comic book series. It even includes Karl Urban's character from Thor: Ragnarok.

In my estimation, it’s the dietary regimen involved in being “ripped” that can always fuck off. I have no problem with working out. Anyway, even I, if I was being paid x(number) of millions per annum to look ripped, would shut the fuck up about it being tedious. That’s just playing fast and loose with us normal shmoes who don’t have the salary, the trainers and the dieticians to have a superhero physique

I mean, if something is tedious then it's tedious and that doesn't change with the amount of money you're being paid to deal with it. I've got a personal trainer and if I followed the meal plan he's given me to the letter I've no doubt I'd be ripped so it's hardly something that's only obtainable if you're a film star; it just requires a level of dedication that most of us don't care enough to put in. Either way, saying you can't moan about something because you're being paid a lot to do it is just needless gate-keeping to my mind.

I dunno, I've done the whole chicken & rice 6 times a day thing and a few million quid would have definitely made it easier. I could have paid someone to prepare it and deliver it to my door, for starters.

Sure, and don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry for Hemsworth's terrible plight here. But after a few million quid a few times, you might be less interested by the fifth or sixth go. Particularly if there were competing opportunities on the table to earn the same money without months of bodysculpting.

Being rich makes almost everything easier to some degree, I'm certainly not arguing against that. But eating a heavily controlled diet is miserable regardless of the number of zeroes on ones bank balance and I don't begrudge anyone expressing that.

Yeah, I get the whole I’ve got enough money now, and I know it’s tedious, but there is an argument that if you’re career to date has largely involved being a buff superhero then the ‘competing’ offers won’t be there. Offers yes, 7 figure offers less so. The late Albert Finney at dinner with a journalist spotted Michael Douglas at another table, asked the journalist if Douglas was eating potatoes with his meal, to which the journo said no, Finney laughed and said, “He’s still doing nude scenes”

TBH I'm probably the wrong person to offer counter arguments to this conversation as I do this body "sculpting" shit for fun - albeit not quite at Thor's level (yet) :DD If I could persuade someone to pay me, that'd be nice.

MrsA made a very good point about how poor it was that after spending five years keeping the roof on the building and running things, the moment Stark and Captain America turn up, she is shunted straight to straight to the sidelines and, despite the Avengers being "her family", they didn't seem to really give that much of a dime that she was dead. And how red Witch is driven by the loss of a man when fighting at the end and having all the women line up to protect Spiderman isn't that if of a sticking plaster on that.

I thought they were protecting Captain Marvel?

Peter says "how you going to get through there" or similar, and then the girls show up and give her their backup (not that she really needed it)

Aye, I spotted that - I did have a chuckle. Between that and the "We'll deep fry your kebab!" scene in Infinity War, it seems like someone on the Marvel team has a hard-on for Scotland :attitude:

There was an Innis & Gunn barrel outside his house.

I assumed it was filmed in Scotland. It looked pretty Scottish.

There was an Innis & Gunn barrel outside his house.

I assumed it was filmed in Scotland. It looked pretty Scottish.

Yeah, there was a Scottish crew section in the credits.

I've seen Endgame now. Just in time too as the spoiler embargo on Imgur and Reddit seems to be expiring. I saw a picture of Professor Hulk in passing yesterday.

What a film. To have this and GOT in the same week is extraordinary.

I've started the series of films again from the start, in the spaghetti order

https://geeks.media/the-perfect-order-t ... mcu-movies

I've done iron man, hulk, and iron man 2 so far.
Iron Man was great, hulk was boring, iron man 2 but s pretty good but takes too long to get going.
