I met someone at a networking event today who has a friend who films 'adult' movies and gets paid 4 grand a week!

I think I'm missing a trick here...

I don't understand how the porn industry makes any money.

Surely their advertising revenue can't be that great.

Isn't pornhub one of the most visited websites ever? I'm guessing they do pretty well for ad revenue.

Sure. And how much do they pay for the content that people pirate and upload there?

What I'm surprised about is that people still bother to make porn. That said, the whole industry has shifted massively, mainly due to pornhub. I could write an essay about this if I had to :D

He did, although he very quickly spiralled from "this is the effect it had on the industry" to "let's talk about this dude's kink for an episode because I think it's weird".

Don't get me wrong, I liked the podcast, but I'm more interested in the technical side of stuff.

Annoyingly the 50" Sony TV in my games room has gone faulty.
It started with what looked like horizontal scanlines appearing and is now displaying some fairly psychedelic vertical coloured lines which seems to be a common problem with a Timing Controller board.

It was bought second hand two and a bit years ago for £250 with the remainder of a (now expired) Richer Sounds warranty.
A faulty screen might sell for £120 and a working one for close to £200.

Do I risk spending £30-50 on a used/refurb board which will probably fix the problem, or use the opportunity to buy a bigger 4K TV for the lounge and put the identical 50" one from there into the games room?

The two barrels have a divergence of 3 degrees, and the cannon was designed to shoot simultaneously two cannonballs connected with a chain to "mow down the enemy somewhat as a scythe cuts wheat". During tests the Gilleland cannon effectively mowed down trees, tore up a cornfield, knocked down a chimney and killed an unfortunate cow. None of the above were anywhere near the gun's intended target.

Made me chuckle

What do you call the space where you bury someone? The area the grave occupies?

What group of people were inspired by the words of the person buried there?

This is where I find out myp was pretending not to get it for comedic effect.

Just looking for a nice country pub to take my parents to when they visit later in the week. Looked up one I remember north of Kidlington, the Boat Inn, on Tripadvisor. I love it when owners respond to angry reviews in kind.

eg:
Quote:
Well Fran guess you're some kind of expert expounding your knowledge, menu too big so food will be poor telling us what we should do etc? I am very impressed that you could recognise an Iceland chicken burger should have hit the spot for you then? I guess you got your coleslaw? And you dissected the pie oh and had another one? 77 reviews - impressive but maybe you ought to relax and stop fault finding.. Who dissects a pie to see how much chicken is in it?????? Another camper I believe?

I've had my eye on a fighting game on Steam for a while but it's too pricey. This morning I've seen this tweet which is the best reason I can think of for a price reduction. They go on later to apologise for their English as they've translated it from Japanese.

Hello,

I e never bought a blu-Ray before and I can’t eork out if they are region free as some places say they are and then others suggest the US versions don’t display properly. And if they aren’t region free... will this play in the PS4?

Thank you for advice.

BDs are region-free.

*edit* Wait, no they’re not. Movies aren’t anyway. I might be thinking of PS4 games.

So my intended Valentine's present for the wife was "damaged in transit" and returned for a refund.
