Probably don't want to get that specific one if the reviews are anything to go by.

(Depending on the severity and the source of the pan fire, wetting a tea towel, ringing it out and smothering the flames with it can also work. )

Yeah, there was a bit on the One show or something similar about fire blankets and they tested a load which were bought online. Most of them failed within seconds so definitely look for a good one.

Or just rely on takeaways and never actually cook anything.

One New Year's Eve we were in a remote hut so built a bonfire outside. A friend decided to take the opportunity do the demonstration about the dangers of oil and water he gives to his scouts, but doubled the proportions he normally uses. A heck of a fireburst came out of the tin can. It's always sobering to be reminded how bad these things are.

Actually, if it is 33% of all house fires, the government should subsidise Just Eat and the like, and save money in the long run.

Maybe half the fire fighting gear on the engines and have a burger hatch instead.

But then in the same poster they're telling you to get out and stay out.

So the answer is: stay out and on it all night, eating is for wimps.

Maybe "drunk idiots remove themselves from the gene pool with fire" isn't broken either.

I don't think I've ever tried to cook anything when I've got home drunk.

It's either grab something while I'm out for the trek home or eat loads of crisps or whatever once I'm home.
