That Roundabout is supposed to be pretty daft and fun.

I sharn’t be playing Bulletstorm again. It was alright but I’ve played it and have no desire to play it again.

I played it on my phone and wasn't massively impressed. It's lovely enough for about 20 minutes but then it gets really repetitive when trying to see all the content and I got bored of it.

Can more people play this please? I gave it an hour yesterday and was it was daft fun. Basically you’re a limousine that’s constantly spinning around and you have to navigate a town Crazy Taxi-style dropping people off and stuff. It’s as good as it sounds.

Oh and it’s also really lenient with the penalties for blowing up so it can be super casual or you can play it for stars and force yourself to restart if you fuck up and you just want a maddenly difficult perfect run.

So it’s got some nice FMV with real people playing daft characters that I thought was going to suck but it’s actually kinda quaint and endearing.

So yeah give it a punt.

Roundabout is indeed quite bonkers, but the limo driver is lovely and it’s good casual fun.

December’s line-up looks like this:

SOMA (PS4) - Spooky walking simulator
Onrush (PS4) - racing game I think. I think I heard this was alright.
Steredenn (PS3) - whut?
Steins;Gate (PS3) - whut?
Iconoclasts (PS Vita + PS4) - whut?
Papers, Please (PS Vita) - Amazing. Gerrit. I’m surprised this doesn’t work on the PS4 too.

Ohhhh, Onrush was the last game from the team that made Motorstorm and Driveclub. It looked alright. Sold really badly and the studio was disbanded, though. Bit sad.

Where is the best offer at the moment?

You can't do much better than £40 a year without buying some dodgy Estonian code off one of those sites Heartily likes.

Sony are offering 15 months for £50, which works out at £3.33 a month, the same as £40 for 12 months.

Anyone playing Iconoclasts? I've been firing it up on my Vita. It's excellent. Lovely 2D, Metroidvania platformer. Visually it reminds me a lot of Chrono Trigger, and has a pleasingly barmy story and dialogue. Very much recommended.

I just finished it today so I could begin Spider-manning.

It's generally pretty good but I'm not sure it's accurate to call it a Metroidvania as the only time you revisit earlier areas tends to be fleetingly and for story related pointless fetch quest reasons. Other negative thoughts: the craftable extra powers seemed to be completely pointless (and a load of the blueprints I collected were never even made available for me to craft, no idea what was going on there); it went on far too long at ten hours and even right at the end I was still constantly fucking around during combat trying to make sure I had the right gun on at any given time.

Those things aside, if you're after a generally well made 2d platformer with decent puzzles and decent boss fights then you won't go far wrong with it.

Steep (PS4) - no way I’d pay money for this but I wouldn’t mind a go so YAY!
Portal Knights - whut?
Zone of the Enders HD Collection, PS3 - never a huge fan
Amplitude, PS3 - meh
Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4) - whut
Super Mutant Alien Assault, PS Vita - whut?

Conclusion: Steep!

Similarly, alwasy wanted a go, never wanted to pay for it

It didn't look sufficiently like ssx to warrant payment.

Same here, it handled pretty well as I remember, but it was also pretty confusing on how to actually navigate and get to events.

For free there should be some good fun in it.
