The quality is okay, but it's not as good as real Lego. For the most part it's absolutely fine, sometimes you'll get a bit of flash on some pieces but nothing too bad.

However there were a few bits missing - simple things like a black 1x4, or something like that. If you've got a box of bits you should be fine, though.

I thought I'd take some pictures of the fake Lego sets I got the Grimlet.

Together the Batmobile and the X Wing cost about £30, I think.

We've got that same (but genuine Lego) batmobile, and from that photo it's very hard to tell any difference. It was fun to build, took a couple of hours on Boxing Day.

Good price there, 30 quid. I think we paid almost 100 bucks for the batmobile alone ?:|

Right? Look real close and you'll see that the studs don't have 'Lego' written on them, but that's about it.

Yeah, the lepin x-wing I got was pretty much perfect. I think there was one flat two that was the wrong colour and that was about it.

Every time I've tried to build anything with fake Lego, the tolerances on the pieces are so poor that it falls apart if I so much as breathe on it - which makes building it rather troublesome.

I just bought the Lego Saturn V kit for $150 - that'll be my birthday present then.

I'm super, super excited.

I've been rather enjoying Dr Ashens' advent calendar web series. Each day another window from four bulky calendars is opened, usually to great disappointment.

I did wonder what happened to him after he left this place to find himself but things seemed to have turned out all right.

I've been watching that too but I think I'm going to stop. I can't stand that bloke who's with him for some reason. He really gets on my nerves.
