I dont get the arguments over who the 'third' mafia person is - there are 6 players and you need a majority (ie 4) to vote someone out.

So if there are 3 mafia you wont get that and tonight the mafia will all steal from the remaining town and kill one of them for the game to end tomorrow.

If there are only 2 mafia then today *all* the remaining townies need to vote for the correct baddie which is not going to happen.

If they lynch a townie there won't be a tonight.

Yeah, but under this game rules it stops when they outnumber, not when the townies can no longer survive.

Hypothetically, the mafia probably think they have won this now, and hypothetically they might start to think about winning the individual competition, and hypothetically one of them might have sent me an action that is backstabbing one of their own already...

Yes. But if it's three mafia and two townies and the two townies have more money than the three mafia do, that's a win for the town. Of course, that's unlikely considering the mafia will have more people and the ability to co-ordinate steals.

I think the no-kill is an interesting option - what about if the mafia just donate to a single person and get them up to a large amount of cash then 2 of them steal from them that night and someone steals from another random townie.

That would leave the town with one person on zero and the mafia with more cash ?

So for individual wins I still think 'not ending the game' works best for the mafia - do what they like for the next 4 or 5 days and there is much more money to go around ?

If they all just invest / steal / whatever for a few days the money that everyone has will be much greater than the amount that anyone who's dead holds ?
