Thing is, people have been quiet, but no-one has been silent.

Being quiet is an excellent tactic. The town should lynch them, but they don't.

If. Ever run a game I might just mod kill the quietest player every day. For science.

Just have a role (a modified serial killer) where they choose between the quietest three people speaking each day, and kill them. Make it so if the role gets killed before a certain point, they can pass on their skills to an apprentice.

I've had a similar role before, where the SK had to kill someone who had been 'evil', which meant either being too quiet or using too much meta stuff.

It's weird. Normally the very thing that gets people lynched or killed is apparently being ignored this game, which tends towards the SK win.

Which would be extremely impressive for the SK.

No, being 'there but not there'. Posting enough to be remembered but not really saying anything for the most part, so you're not targeted by anyone.

It's worked really well this time. I still think the town SHOULD be able to turn it around, but that relies on them either doing the smart thing and not voting today, or by talking until they realise the baddie in their midst!

Never going to happen.

Today they need everyone to vote for the one baddie - if they dont (which is actually what should happen) - tomorrow there will be 3 players and the 2 non-SK people need to vote for the SK (who would have one less spot to hide in)

On that last day all that needs to happen is for someone to come in at the start and post 'vote X' , and then the SK jumps on it and the game ends (happened to me / davpaz / gazchap at the end of one of the alien games - there were 3 players left and Davpaz came in the next day and instantly voted for me - gazchap also then voted for me which ended the game with a SK victory)

Technically in this game the DE is pretty much a Mafia hitman who has to kill and doesn't know who his teammates are.

For the lolz. At the time a Town win was inevitable. It was going to take some real effort by all involved for the SK to have even a small chance.

By not confirming that you cast doubt in everyones mind about Santalien and if he was trustworthy or not.

I also cant really believe you looked at it on that day and thought a townie win was a foregone conclusion ?

Yeah, but had I confirmed it, then I would likely have been confirming him as Town. Look at the Dead Thread at the time; it was funny.

Also, weren't there 7 townies and 1 SK, who was almost certainly one of three people?

I am still shocked that more wasn't made of the SK knowing who the Don was. Because that realisation would have won the game for the Town already had anyone thought of it in conjunction with the win conditions.

It also relied on the 'hidden roles' not actually existing because any of those could have explained things away as well.

It also relies on people thinking of the SK as a cut off mafia person and not as a traditional SK

Just a thought, if there is no vote today (and you guys are saying that trying to find 1 from 3 is easier than 1 from 4) then surely the DE should not kill tonight (as then they will still be able to hide in 3)

Because there was no SK Kill on night one the only explanation (apart from hidden roles) is that the SK targetted the Mafia Don therefore the SK *knew* who the Don was , and Curio has said therefore they did not vote for the Don to be killed (since the Mafia and the SK had the same win condition).

Its all so simple that everyone should have seen it and be using that to work out who to vote for (like the hidden micro dot in the i on Rimmers swimming certificate)

Don voting :

Quote:
sharp suit: 1 (Mr Russell Sprouts)
mr russell sprouts: 5 (gospvg, Sharp Suit, zaphod79, Santanalian, Bobbyaro)

Not voted: 3 (gazchap, joans, goddess jasmine)

So Killer is either Joans or GJ

Not necessarily true. While they share a win condition the mafia was still a threat to the SK because they could night kill them - so the SK could easily have wanted the mafia out of the game.

I can't remember, but they spotted it soon after. Might have been that the SK would now know the Mafia Don's identity (something Zaphod is still ignoring). Which now of course means the SK is someone who didn't vote for Russ.

Apologies it was night 2

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9858&start=0

There was one person who left (because the Marketing person correctly identified them) and one person who was added to the list (via the Mafia) but no SK kill which means that the SK targetted the Mafia Don on that night and then knew who they were.

I quite like it. Assuming Silent Suit isn't the killer, even had Bobby voted, the town would still lose thanks to the least involved player.
