I wonder how many people didn't know that, and how many are pretending not to know.

We're almost certainly going 2-0 down, so we need as much information as we can get as to who might be bad. With 40% of us actively trying to sabotage things, we had only a tiny margin for error right from the start.

The results are in, the proposal is declined!

Bobbyaro no
Cras yes
Curiosity no
Grim... didn't vote
KovacsC yes
Malia no
Mr Russell assumed yes
Saturnalian yes
sdg no
Slightly Green no

I assumed Mr Russ would have voted yes to his own proposal, but that didn't make a difference to the result either way.

Saturnalian, over to you for the second vote, who do you propose? 4 man mission as before.
2pm Thursday deadline for the proposal.

I'm a bit sus of Kov for voting yes. I think Mr Russ could be suss for proposing a whole new tea,m. So I'd send me, slightly green and two others.

If there weren't any spies on that list though, spies would all have voted no.

I'm struggling to work through any kind of decision making process here.

There are a few ways to work it out.

You can, for instance, consider that since a bad guy would not pick randomly, a random selection can only be made by a good person, which reduces the percentage.

Of course, it also means they should select themselves, which makes the percentage a fair bit higher.

Tonight's mission:

The Resistence needs funds! The Evil Corp's Bank of Evilness has a new shipment of gold coming in tonight. A dangerous job of course, but joy, the bank manager is throwing a party for an evil politician that same night so the bank is understaffed with a skeleton crew.

We need three brave soldiers and someone to man the getaway car and look out for the fuzz.

Everyone is equipped with brown trenchcoats and bananas as we've no money for weapons. It'll be as brazen as it is dangerous. Lets do it!

I'll go with the first three no votes and me. Cause I'm ace.

For the record, I currently feel ok about two people on that list and less good about two others. I would prefer to be included in this mission at the expense of you Saturnalian.

It'll prove I'm legit (probably).

...although if there's a spy it'll make me look bad. Either way, it's a risky strategy that might just work.

It won't prove anything to me, you could be a spy who decides to support the mission to make yourself look good.
What was your reason again for voting yes to the last mission?

Sorry we posted at the same time there :) I agree that we need more information to make judgements but rushing into another mission even if the leader was a clear goody was a bit daft since the best tool we have is discussion and voting patterns, so voting yes seems even more dodgy when the leader was a potential spy.

hmmm interesting choices Saturnalian, you voting yes for the last mission does make me wonder about you however.

I think I will be voting no for this mission as the best way for us to gather information safely is to have as many Leaders choose possible missions as we can so we can hopefully see some patterns. Also the fact you stole my fucking bananas for the raid has upset me a little.

There's five spy's and only four yes' anyway so it's still pot luck. I'd voted before the five win/round thing was raised anyway, so, y'know, whatever man.

Hell yeah, pass me that banana! Alternatively we could talk through the scenarios.

1) mission is sabotaged
2) mission isn't sabotaged.
1. Puts four more people in the suss pile.
2. Puts four more people in the suss pile.

Just to make it clear, I have voted no as it seems to me that a no vote is the safest way for us to gather information with zero risk of going another mission down to the capitalist pigs. I thought that was the consensus from the last mission vote also.

I have already sent in my no vote, but will hold off in future so we can make a better group decision.

We don't want tooooo much groupthink. We need the scummy scumbags (of which there are 4) to out themselves.

That said, I'm going for a no vote again, despite it being totally possible that it's a group of innocents.

Look, even if I was a spy and this game went ahead and it was sabotaged then no one would pick me again and you'd know that the other three were cool. You could then just picking them plus one other each time and The Resistance would win.

OR I could be legit, the mission wins and you just keeping picking the same (or vetoing any deviation from anyone else, cause you'd know they'd be a spy) and go on to win simple, like.

It's a win win all round.

Not if there is a spy other than yourself (if you are a spy) in the group that you have chosen. So using your suggestion above we vote yes now, the spies get another point. Next mission we drop you but keep the rest, spies get another point....

The only hope we have is gathering as much info as we can from potential group setups imo
