You wake, most of you.

That was... expected.

A monitor is revealed on the wall of each of your rooms.
Shown is ApplePieOfDestiny, he is standing in a room with 16 buttons on one wall, 1 button labelled "intercom" on another wall, and 1 button labelled "private intercom" on the third wall.
He looks up, you see a gas entering the room. He collapses.
The screen goes black, followed by three messages.

Code:
Player 9
Cult
Recruit

The monitor shows another room.
Shown is Curiosity, he is standing in a purple room with a list of names and numbers on one wall, and 1 button labelled "intercom" on another wall.
He looks up, you see a gas entering the room. He collapses.
The screen goes black, followed by three messages.

Code:
Player 10
Town
List

Continue.

So I guess we wait to see if Grim... found anything out but my vote is going to be the same as yesterday for Cras

Given that there is a cult (and they recruited APOD?) any non vote during a day is *BAD* and we're already had 2 of those

And I might as well get this out there now - APOD was the person I could communicate with outside of the game (the private intercom button) and the bad people will already know (i guess) but he was number 7

Highly suspicious of zaphod after that.

And someone who could communicate iwth a cult, is surely another cult.

It actually might be a good thing in a way, it confirms (to me at least) that APOD wasn't just recruited (as you might expect with the "recruit" line) but that "recruit" was his role (in as much as Curio had a role of "list")

Given what you just said malc, ie apod was a recruit not a recruiter, zaphod being able to talk doesn't necessarily make him the recruiter. Also, what cars said. Also', curio voted for cras? Didn't he?

I'm assuming that Zaphod79 and apod were mason types. On night 1 APOD was recruited to the cult.

Curio voted for me, then didn't, then did again, I think.

I think APOD was the recuiter. I think the third line is the "role" so "recruit" is what APOD could do and "list" is what curio could do.

I can list!
1)malc
2)mafia
3)cult
4)bananas

Curio had a list, or so we are led to believe, I am not sure the verb 'list' even makes sense in this context. How would he 'list' people?

What?

Curio said he had a list, his death screen said list. I think they are roles.

I can imagine that somewhere there is a note that says something like:

Quote:
List
You are in posession of a list, the list shows you what number each person has and is as follows:

...

I don't know this for sure, I'm just speculating, but I don't think it's an unreasonable guess.

No I said "list" is something Curio could do.

The quotes indicating it was something more than just the normal use of that word.

I suspect you are arguing for the sake of it.

This isn't about Curio though, it is about understanding if APOD is a recruiter or a recruit. I suggest that list = list and recruit = recruit. You suggest list = ? and recruit = recruiter.

Cult recruiter is always the cult leader. If he were the leader, I strongly suggest it would have said so. I also strongly suggest that he wouldn't be a mason - in which case Zaphod would be the world's mentalist mental to out himself as being in private communication with APOD.

We should assume the cult leader is still out there, because doing anything else is exceedingly dangerous.

You could be right, and I don't think we should assume anything as even if apod was the leader, one of the recruits could easily take his powers once he is dead.

But that doesn't change my assumption that that third line is an ability.

The other key thing is that last night there were 2 deaths, and the first night there were no deaths.

Now that could be people being reluctant to press buttons the first night, but there was also mention of people being blocked.

I really need catch up the first few days as I was dazed and confused for a lot of it.

One other thing, Curio outs himself as being good for the town, and then dies. Either:
1) the killer(s) got lucky - possible
2) they have the ability to investigate - possible, could explain lack of kill on first night.
3) they have a list as well - let's hope not, but it doesn't tell too much info
4) they can specify who they target - kind of think not, it goes against the game.

having thought about it.
Grim... said he found out Person 3 was Mafia
Curio said Cras was person 3
Curio has been shown to be town
Can anyone tell me why we shouldn't vote to lynch cras?

I would certainly like to know what Grim... found out about last night. I would suggest that the cult is more insidious than the mafia and although we should sort them both out, the cult are hidden and harder to see and should be sorted out ASAP

Highly suspicious for volunteering information ?

Really ?

[vote:malc]

And I pressed button 7 on the first night , and was then able to communicate with APOD - I know what button he said he pressed for me but given the list person is no more thats not going to help much.

Wait, Zaphod79 - you could only talk to APOD after your first night's action, and now APOD's been revealed as a cult recruit?

Er... [vote:Zaphod79]

It depends. I have no reason to want them dead. I have yet to hear anyone claim a win condition other than mere survival.

In what possible way does it look suss? And in what way are we "going at it"? I voted for him, at the time of your post there was no other interaction between us? this looks amazingly like a post aimed to cause distraction.

Bugger to loose our list :( Good to loose APOD the nasty cultist :)

Here is what I know -

Code:
Night 1 I pressed button ** and suddenly a panel slid down revealing a monitor with ROLEBLOCKER written on it

Night 2 I pressed button ** and suddenly a panel slid down revealing a monitor with ROLEBLOCKER written on it

Each nights I pressed a different number.

So from both night actions we can conclude that -

a. I am the Roleblocker
b. I am a investigator who has just happened to target 2 Roleblockers on consecutive nights.
c. My room is broken.
d. I have been Roleblocked both nights?

I am thinking that option a is the most likely to be true at the moment.

If I am the Roleblocker and the way I found out was from the screen then Grim... is a nasty Mafia scummer as that is what happened to him (A panel slid open and had the word MAFIA written on it). Also no one else seems to know what role they are from the start either, ie Mr Russ voting for Nick as he also had a one use button so he can find out what his role is etc... This does also suggest that Zaphod79 may very well be a unwitting Cult leader who recruited APOD on night one without even realising it (which would be fucking hilarious as he has painted a HUGE target on himself now :DD )

So can anyone else see any other options that I have missed? If not then I will be placing my vote for Grim... or Zaphod pretty soon.

With regards to no deaths on night one is it possible that Nick and Mr Russ's One use buttons of awesomeness (which they both decided to spack on night one... ) could have had something to do with that? Just a thought.

Not quite - Curio also made a reference to everyone being told to survive, implying he also had the same condition (Interesting to note, given his revealed faction)
Nickachu specifically stated, and Kovacs also made references also, so it's looking like there's no real 'team town' as it were from what I've seen given no ones given any reason for me to think otherwise.

I think SG is the role blocker and blocked me on night 1.

Grim... is the investigator.

I strongly suspect that Zaphod is town and townies should do the same as him.

Actually, there's no point being cryptic, I think button 7, for townies, gives you a gift. Zaphod thought it room 7 but the private intercom was his gift for pressing 7.

That would make sense - and for those saying pressing it and having communication with the person means that I was a cult member i pressed a different button last night and nothing happened (no intercom / no message / no 'protected')

I also know that APOD told me he was going to press 3 last night (which we assume was Cras)

One other thing

Given how easy the baddies targetted Curio I guess they either have a list or have no need of one whereas those who are good are pressing buttons at Random - at least one of those random button pressers has a protection role and protected me on night 1 and Davpaz on night 2
If it was my pressing of button 7 which corresponded to a 'prize' then it may not follow that the button which APOD pressed was mine but it might have been so that would make me number 13 (which was the number APOD told me he pressed on the first night)

That would make sense - and for those saying pressing it and having communication with the person means that I was a cult member i pressed a different button last night and nothing happened (no intercom / no message / no 'protected')

I also know that APOD told me he was going to press 3 last night (which we assume was Cras)

It wouldn' t make any sense at all! Each button corresponds to a room, except for 7, which is the super lovely 'have a chat with a cultist' button. Really?

It makes sense for townies who typically have no powers or nothing. I imagine that none of the buttons work for townies 'cept the gift button.

So why would Nick and I both have a button that did nothing. Especially shit townies?

So, one button to target each person, except the magic gift button, which lets you talk to a cultist. You appear to have confused "it makes sense" with "it makes absolutely no fucking sense"

Have you even tried reading the thread before coming up with your insane assumptions?

Nick and Mr Russ have both said that they DON'T have numbered buttons, they both just have one button with a use once sign.

Also if I am the Roleblocker due to the screen telling me roleblocker then how do you then make the jump that Grim getting Mafia on his screen means he is the investigator and not mafia?

You sir seem to be clueless or deliberately stirring already very muddy waters.

BIG FoS on Saturnalian

Grim... is the investigator.

I strongly suspect that Zaphod is town and townies should do the same as him.

Are you basing this on pressing button 7 and receiving a "gift"?

Also why would APOD tell Zaphod that he was going to press 3? Because people assume Cras is in 3? Because he wanted to look like a goody? Was he trying to trick Zaphod into pressing 3 too and, if so, why? The Vision said he'd pressed 3 in day one. Perhaps if you press 3 you join the cult. Or if not 3, there might be a button that corresponds with joining the cult.

Or perhaps The Vision was being clever right from day 1 - by openly saying he'd pressed 3 in his first post people might be deterred from pressing it too and he's in 3. He didn't want people to press the same button when I suggested it on day 1.
