AnotHer good day for the Town... but was it a good night?

It wasn't a good night for Trooper. He's been shot and is dead! His flat provides few clues other than a stack of anonymous love letters.

Trooper was one of the Forbidden Lovers.

Is there another corpse?

No.

But DavPaz is missing...

... and there's a really funny smell coming from somewhere.

[playerlist]
Craster
Grim...
kalmar
Malc
MaliA
Saturnalian
Slightly Green
Nickachu
Goddess Jasmine
SDG
Malc74
TheVision
Bobbyaro
[/playerlist]

13 players left. 7 votes for a decision.

Day ends Monday at 3pm. Or before should a decision be reached.

So we lost townie, and davpaz is missing too. Wonder if him and morte are coming back. Does the fact that there was only 1 kill mean that someone got blocked? or something else.

Great news on Alarm getting lynched however!

Good skills on getting the Don. I wonder if the Mafia can't kill if they don't have a Don to direct them? It would be unusual, but not unheard of. Otherwise, it must be fairly safe to assume that there's someone out there capable of protecting or roleblocking.

Great spot on Alarm, Nikachu. He's probably a bit annoyed that he didn't get the chance to defend himself as the switched on town dogpiled onto him.

So both Morte and DavPaz have now gone missing, but there is a horrible smell? Is Morte decomposing somewhere?

*Goes for a good look around, to find the source of the smell*

Ha! As if Alarm did that... Amazing scenes. But what's with Davpaz vanishing too? Curious...

I don't like the insinuation that I smell, you know.

The whole town reeks. Reeks of scum.

And I think you are part of it. The deaths and the disappearances.

That is surely the smell of death and rotting corpses. Hmm, it appears to be coming from the floor boards at Kalmar's house.

I think we want to be looking at the last 2-3 people who voted for Alarm, the mafia will want to look like they are townies and so when it looks inevitable that one of their own is going, they'll jump on board.

This is the order of the votes from yesterday:
Quote:
nickachu
MaliA
Slightly Green
Trooper
Malc74
sdg
Goddess Jasmine
Malc
DavPaz

I didn't realise I was so close to the end of the voting!

I know I am not the mafia, so I am looking at GJ or DP

Given that my list last time was bobby, malia and GJ, I think I ned to go with [vote:Goddess Jasmine]

Malc

So Curio tells us there was a smell, you drop a hint about it being you which I pick up on, then you vote for me. That rather suggests that a) I was right, and b) the smell isn't something good.

This seems to be a game where we nail people for saying "clever" things.

Suspicious of DavPaz and kalmar for reluctance to vote for Kovacs on day one. DavPaz is a bit cryptic in his reasons for not voting for him, saying he just can't do it. Is this an act orders he have a role stopping him voting? Hasn't he pulled that one before? Kalmar voted for someone else on day one with one hour left, trying to say that Kovacs was just being Kovacs and also making it seem like there was loads of time. This seems like a distraction technique.
So for that reasons [vote:kalmar]

tbh I am more suspicious of people who didn't vote for him....although it is possible that one or 2 goons got in on the vote, would they really pile on the Don so early in the day?

So to reiterate -

The Order of Voting for the Mafia Don wrote:
nickachu
MaliA
Slightly Green
Trooper
Malc74
sdg
Goddess Jasmine
Malc
DavPaz

people who didn't vote -

Quote:
craster, grim..., thevision, kalmar, Bobbyaro, Saturnalian

So if we are looking for mafia then it is very unlikely that Nick and Malia are mafia as they were first on alarm, I know I am Town, we know Trooper was town :( I guess Malc74 is pretty clear (ish)

possible Mafiosa according to Slightly Greens logic wrote:
sdg
Goddess Jasmine
Malc
DavPaz
craster
Grim... FoS'd Alarm but didnt vote, that is a little odd.
thevision
kalmar
Bobbyaro
Saturnalian

So any thoughts?

I'd have voted, but the day timed out.

You should be voting for Mali, anyway.

Ps the weekend is my working week so it's the hardest time for me to check in, I should be around I the evening though.

And before I go, I've just looked through day one and two again after saying I would earlier and then not doing it. Bobby ended yesterday saying that he thought my reasons for voting for alarm were weird (they were the same reasons as everyone else, because of the don comment. I only elaborated to say that it seemed like something which could be shown off about later, which I think was a fair comment and which apparently was correct). Bobby then didn't vote, so that seems a bit like an attempt to draw attention to someone else while also using the classic scum tactic of not actually initiating the vote yourself.
Based on this, I reread day one and bobby voted for Kovacs. So if he was mafia, the explanation for this behaviour would be day one=voting for someone he knows isn't mafia and therefore a viable target and day two=a last ditch attempt to offer up another candidate coupled with not voting for his don.
So I am currently voting for kalmar but would also change to Bobbyaro.

I'm torn between MaliA, GJ and Kalmar at the moment.

I'd be willing to take a lynch on any of them. I think one of them is the cause of all the disappearances going on around town.

/due to time differences etc... I'll [vote:MaliA] now as I think he's the most likely to get lynched, but if I come back "during the day" and see a mob forming towards one of the others I'll be willing to change.

you are suspicious of DavPaz - who has disappeared - and Kalmar for not voting for a cult leader (normally) someone who has no one to talk to on the first day?
DavPaz has disappeared, but you say hos reasons are cruptic and he might be under orders not to vote - the cult leader has no cult on the first day.
Kalmar - while i agree with the voting for someone else being pointless, I refer you to my previous comment: the cult leader has no cult on the first day.

I don't get why you are making such a fuss about something so obvious, except as a distraction technique, because you really aren't silly enough to miss these things. As such:

For what it is worth, Sightly Green, from what has been said is good, and on the side of the town. I think nikachu is as well, for spotting the don. Grim.., however is giving me cause for some alarm, and I'm a bis sus of bobbyaro too right now, but am not 100% sure why. He just looks a bit dodgy. However, because of what bobbyaro said, I'm happy to test the waters with sdg.

I have nick down as good too. I'm 50/50 with bobby, will have a read back through later. I seem to remember sdg voicing what I was thinking as a reason for voting for someone, but again I need to read through to check details.

When I was rereading last night it was a wee while after I'd first read the start of today. I was just posting my thoughts based on what I reread from day one and two. I felt like DavPaz was being odd (which come on, he was) but I forgot that he'd disappeared.
As for kalmar, surely there could be another cult member? The wording of the role certainly made it seem like that to me.
Also nice of you bobby to start attacking me after I FOS you. Very predictable. I'm clearly not mafia, I voted for Alarm too early for it to be a pile on, and my reasoning behind it was attacked by you presumably for being too persuasive and encouraging others to vote alarm.
I'm not cult, but you didn't think that anyway since you are putting forward a belief that Kovacs was the only cult member.
I'm not making people disappear which I'm presuming is a bad role. They could be getting saved or put in prison or something I suppose but since there aren't many kills I'm assuming its a baddy.
So what are you accussing me of? It's basically just a huge distraction technique in my mind and I wouldn't be surprised if you were mafia with someone else being discussed as a target today.
Either that or a sk type, just trying to split the vote.

Dear, dear me? Really?

You have the nerve to accuse me of a distraction technique while posting this diatribe of misdirectional nonsense?
"I am not cult ..." Of course you aren't, why mention this at all, except to distract.
"I am not making people disappear..." Again, no one has accused you of this, why mention it, apart from as a distraction.
[paraphrase] "So you, Bobby, are Mafia, I accuse you... Oh, or maybe a serial killer"[/paraphrase]

What am I accusing you of? I am accusing you of being in the mafia, a directionless punch-drunk mafia that has lost its head. I am accusing you of attempting to get people lynched for obviously false reasons.

I am also not even vaguely surprised to see Saturnalian backing you up, either.

Right, so yesterday or whenever it was that I voted for alarm and you said that thought my reasoning was odd after GJ agreed with my thinking and also voted alarm, you clearly didn't think I was mafia. So why now?
The reason I mentioned cult, disappearances and mafia (although you excluded my dismissal of the mafia) was to clearly show how the logic falls down if you try and pin one of those to me. Since I am assuming they are the only baddies in this town, then I'm not a baddy. I'm pretty sure you are, and the only thing that makes me doubt that is that I'm not sure a baddy would be so outspoken and allow the day to become a bicker between them and someone else.
I just find your lack of vote for alarm too odd, the reasoning behind it was good, he doesn't post much so clearly chooses his words carefully and as I said it was a brilliant post should it go unnoticed to point back at and brag. Only a few more(maybe less, can't check) votes were required and we didn't have any other good therioes. I would genuinely be surprised if you were good.

Blind Scum 3 Day 3

VOTE UPDATE

malia: 2 (Grim..., nickachu)
goddess jasmine: 2 (Malc, kalmar)
bobbyaro: 2 (Saturnalian, sdg)
sdg: 2 (MaliA, Bobbyaro)

Not voted: 6 (craster, slightly green, goddess jasmine, alarm, malc74, thevision)

With 14 players alive, 8 votes are required for a lynch, and 8 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

I have to admit that Malia is the person who is making me most uncomfortable at the moment, a few of his comments today smack of someone trying to hard to be part of the town, and his comment on the smell is downright odd. Although I don't trust Grim... I do trust Nick so will [vote:MaliA] for now.

Bobby and sdg are both equally dodgy in my mind at the moment so not sure what to think with them.
