Being very careful not to break any rules , are you claiming you have a role PM saying your a vanilla townie ?

(BTW since there are only 4 , and given the last game vanilla townies were a special case since they could easily be recruited by the cult that's a very bold thing to push out straight away on day 1 without any reason)

I am not breaking any rules. All I am saying is that all we know at the moment that there are 4 Vanilla Townies, nothing more nothing less.

It is a bad thing to read the rules and mention them?

I find MaliA's demagoguery quite persuasive...and she admits her english is not very good...almost like she's from somewhere else...somewhere foreign, somewhere, where the rule of law means nothing and they have strange and foreign ways...LIKE MURDER

No its not , but I (along with everyone else) will also have one other piece of information which is my role - you saying the *only* information you have is whats in there suggests that your role is included there (and the only one listed is Vanilla)

In my mind Zaphod is now linked with KovacsC, just get the feeling they are on a team together, not sure if it is good or bad however. From the way Zaphod has writen his post he seems to be claiming not to be a Vanilla Townie....I may be reading too much into this :DD

Are we going for vote today? People seem to be dithering a lot, with nothing to go on I guess there isn't much more that can be done.

Day one is always a bit of a nothing day, and today even more so given that we don't have the faintest idea who's out there. Trying to work out what happened on the morning of day 2 is likely to be entertaining.

I can't help but be sus at KovacsC. [vote:KovacsC]. I remember hearing about another town where his cousin showed a deliberate misunderstanding of the rules and the explanations put forward and his cousin turned out to be a very nasty man.

People might have roles but it won't give any clue as to who is who, so today you've got to have a wild stab at a baddie based on pot luck or wait to see who gets wildly stabbed tomorrow.

I am not mis-understanding anything.

All I said (perhaps badly) is that we only know for certain is that there are 4 townies. FFS!

I must say I concur with DavPaz, it feels wrong not to wait for at least some shred of evidence

But, there's still time for that to happen before the day is out!

I like Trooper's plan to get people to talk about their stories, perhaps someone out there with a useful (i.e. good power role) one can enlighten us a little... Too early? Yes, probably.

Ahh, day one, how I long for thee to be over and the night to shed some light upon our tale

Too early to out anyone! But getting people to tell us a little about themselves is always nice, I have stories to write.

Shame nobody is sharing.

I got a 2:1 in broadcast Journalism from Settlementtown College. I'm leveraging that with musical news in a freelance enviroment.. I was at home, writing along and interesting report on the connection between model railways and frequency of takeawy food purchasing all last night. One day, I'm going to sing the news.

Come and listen to a story about a man named Paz. He was a poor mountaineer, barely keeping his family fed. Then one day he was out hunting and a wild shot opened up an well. Oil well, that is.

So now, Paz's a millionaire, and everyone said he should move his family to a better place. "Settlementtown is the place to be" they said, so he packed everything he owned and moved out.

Right to TFF and Davpaz , its day 1 , no-one has any clues - today's vote is pretty much random and as such it could go really well for the town or it could go really poorly.

As such Kovacs is as good a vote as any.

Also as today has the most players we need 11 votes to get a lynch and I dont know that we can get there before 20:00 tonight - even with Kovacs claim that he's being lead away to the gallows he's on 6 votes which means there needs to be another 5 to get rid of him today

Thats not what the rules say to me , and after being asked about it you seem to have role claimed as a vanilla townie (although the way you've said things *still* doesnt make that clear to me).

Given this is a Curio game and that out of all of us there are only 4 vanilla's I think they are going to be linked into some factions goals (in the last game vanilla's were the only ones who could be recruited by the cult)

I would not put it past Curio to have some goals specifically around either finding / killing / recruiting or doing something else to the Vanilla's for either full or partial objectives - as such I'd rather you were not around because if your recruit-able then you've just invited everyone out there to try.

I didn't say I definitely wouldn't vote, just that it'd be nice to wait until there's been a bit more chit chat - the chance to gather what little evidence there can be on day one!

I've always been pro-vote on day one as a hopeful happen to hit a baddie, so I probably will vote at some point, but not ready yet. The little grey cells haven't done enough work for the day yet!

I do, however, very much see what you mean about the potential recruitable risks of an open claim on the only 1 of 4 VTs, so that's more likely to make me vote than anything - either he's a baddie, or he's a VT that might make use vulnerable. Or, a VT that doesn't make use vulnerable at all if there's not recruit-VTs-only role, but hey, ya never know what might crop up.

Still not ready, but tip toeing in the Kov direction for now...

I know all that, what I meant to write was, there are only 4 confirmed good. I did applogise for the way it was written.

I did not realise we had to look at every single past game to play this one.

Yawn. Morning, peeps.

Someone killed the major? Major bummer (not his nickname).

I've been up all rehearsing for my grand entrance.

The play is still happening, right?

You dont need to , however having the rules spell out 4 Vanilla townies is one thing - claiming your one of them at the start is something else (again I see you've not specifically said this)

You know me, I don't gossip, but I heard that the major's problem was getting out of hand. His wife and mistresses told me over a g and t.

Poor dear. Bless *mwah*

I bet if you ask anyone if they have a power role, all will say no now.
