Because I obviously don't want to get put on the naughty list, yet I still think we need to put someone on the list.

So other than people taking a punt at Trooper and TFF, and one FoS at Malc it has been pretty quiet so far.

Since we have all day tomorrow to go then no rush for votes, but more talking would be good (although less of the rhyming would be nice ;))

Yeah, choose the active and vocal person to vote for on the first day, that has worked so well in the past.

Anyway, ahem.

So what do we think?

19 people

1 Santa
1 Grinch
2/3 goblins
2/3 investigators
11-13 Good children (is 13 too many?)

The person who won last time was the cult and more specifically the cult leader, are you really putting it out there that I was bad when I was being loud from the start, even though I was a townie and only recruited on day 4.

Really?

Nothing against you being chatty, but acting so Grinch like is bound to get some people suspicious, when someone has just tried to steal Christmas. Plus, it strikes me as being exactly something you would try to get away with.

erm? oki, have been busy today but just re-read the thread, other than Troopers nasty rhyming has he done anything else that is Grinch like? Am not defending him just want to understand where you are coming from.

Also [vote:squirt] for now as he hasn't posted at all yet

The thing is, we all know you are loud, so if you were quiet all of a sudden, then you'd stick out like a sore thumb.

So if you were bad you'd be just as loud, but I can't help feel you'd try and get away with acting like your character so you could look back at the end of the game and laugh at us all for not picking up on it.

I could be wrong, you could be a good little boy or girl, but I just can't get it out of my head that that's something you'd try.

No it's just the rhyming but that's a pretty big Grinch thing! I'd wager he's not a good power role because then he wouldn't make himself stick out so much. So then he's either a good little boy or he's a baddy. I can't really see why any vanilla townie would want to make themselves stand out so much by posting in that style so I think he's the grinch, hoping to last a few days and then marvel at the end how he survived after coming into town and speaking in rhyme.

This is a Christmas town, we are in a Christmas tale, there is sata, there is the grinch. It isn't a crime to rhyme, if anything we should all be rhyming all the time!

I knew the rhyming would be annoying after a few of them and I expected to get a couple of votes and then have to stop, but to be called out as the grinch over it is just stupid. Either I'm so awful at this game that I thought I could get away with such a blatant tell, or I am so amazing at this game that I could do it and still get away with it. Or, more likely, i'm in a grinch based xmas story so I rhymed a bit.

The most likely behaviour for the grinch (and goblins) is to say just enough to not be quiet, but not enough to raise attention, and to throw out a few fos along the way to see if anything sticks.

I'm on the train at the moment, but when I get back in the office I'll be looking back over the day and voting accordingly on that theory.

It's hard to tell on day one. The goblins are probably consipiring to get a ball rolling to get someone good struck off the list. As we don't know owt else yet, I think we should suspect a couple of names so far voting for Trooper are goblins. In the interests of expediency,

[vote:Trooper]

Grim..., zaphod79, Malc, sdg are potential Goblins, I think, and I reckon Zaphod is as he wants to play in teh snow, rather than gelp find the true list.

I had to say it, but I still agree with andybear.

TFF hasn't said anything, seems a good enough reason to off her than anything.

I haven't seen the Grinch, so I don't understand the Rhyming thing being bad? Is it such a good idea to get rid of one of the talkative ones who made a few rhymes to make it a bit more festive? I dunno, I'm sticking with TFF for now, but would be inclined to FoS Trooper if someone has some more concrete evidence.

I think we should get one of the quiet ones, until we have more evidence to go on, so my vote will stay with squirt for now but will change if anything else comes up

Whereas you want to feed the reindeer instead of 'gelp find the true list'

And I assume the reason for thinking that everyone on that list is a Goblin is because they are voting for Trooper ?

trooper: 4 (Grim..., zaphod79, Malc, sdg)

And just as I hit refresh on that I see its changed to

trooper: 5 (Grim..., MaliA, zaphod79, Malc, sdg)

So you've now voted for him ?
