Which works well for the goblins , no communication / no talking / no reasoning or bargaining over stuff - if the town do keep this up then I think it could go down to the wire and it'll just be a question of the arguments for or against Slightly Green

I thought about doing that on day one to see what happened, but then remembered the really game where the investigator was protected and known and it got a bit dull by people saying "X will investigate y, then we will do something". I thought a reclaim might push the game along a bit and I was not sure if I was going to have access over New year. It had been a bit pedestrian with quiet people, a timed out day and quiet people.

Also, everyone was good that I investigated, which was confusing at times.

Huh! I've named the three good people there, and they only need another vote. Surely the town cannot lose now?

A wise move - if you look at the one vote today its Kov following the lead of one of the two people who for the town should be suspects.

Today should be a Kalmar or GJ lynch but it needs the remaining 'good' townies to make that choice (so Kov / TFF / SDG) , and tomorrow could be a tense final day with 2 confirmed good townies , one baddie and one person who did something good in the past (Sightly Green).

As said - this really should just be a foregone conclusion but you can never really rely on the town not to f*ck it all up.

Nope! We thought it might be kalmar (as did the SJIs).

Oh, my. People are seeing communists under the bed, now. Could be a sign of a goblin timing the day out.

FTFY

Looking at this at the start - 1 santa / 3 SJI's against a grinch and "an undisclosed number of golbins" this really should have been a townie win.

Throw in the pressies and extra powers stuff and it looks even more like an easy townie win.

Throw in some easily lead and confused townies it could all go the wrong way....

I did max out the number of bad guys though to provide balance. 5 was a lot for the number of players. Also, they were damned lucky that the prizes all went to townies, and even luckier that the free investigate turned up a Goblin.

And lucky that we hit an SJI on the first night , and the town offed one on the 3rd night - there was a *lot* of luck in the way things have worked out for the bad team and still its a very slim chance that they could still win.

Your probably right - numbers wise that will mean that the goodies lose either TFF or SDG overnight and we have a slightly odd number left

1 Goblin
2 confirmed good by santa
2 other goodies

5 so need 3 for a vote , if they get that and dont hit the goblin the next day starts with

1 goblin
1 confirmed good
1 other goodie

Its then 2 for a vote off and it will just come down to who the confirmed goodie believes

So actually I dont think a non-lynch harms the town today ?

Yeah, GJ has played a pretty good game, but she's been helped along by some great belming from the town.
Especially today, when they were on the right track questioning her voting history and then brushed it off completely and set about fighting over two other players.

Sorry kalmar!
I've played the whole game on my phone, so haven't been able to (or bothered to) read back, or read the rules, or really read much except brand new posts. I missed the really quick day which was irritating so wanted plenty of chat yesterday which was I brought up what I'd said at the time of SG giving us squirt, for further discussion. Then before I could join in the discussion, everyone was voting for him! I came back to the thread and was annoyed at myself for accidentally leading to that, then just picked at random. The only thing that stopped me picking GJ was the fact she had questioned Santa. It just seemed like such a weird thing for a baddy to even attempt when everyone else clearly bought it so I decided this must mean she was good. I had decided kalmar was good by this point but thought I must have been wrong lol. Oops.

VICTORY!!!!!

*skips around the town square, pigtails swooshing, new dress floating, laughter bubbling into the wintry snowy air*

In your face, stinky Goblins *blows a raspberry and runs off up the snowy path, singing merrily all the way*

It was so close with the general "Let's all try and lynch Slightly Green" thing near the end.

Cheers folks. Pretty pleased that it was I think the longest game we've done both in elapsed time and in number of days, but it still pretty much kept people's attention.
