Everyone wakes on the second day since the murder. Well, not everyone.

Gazchap is not well. Specifically, the hole in his head that half his brains have sluiced out of seems somewhat painful, or at the very least lethal.

Gazchap is all sorts of dead. A quick search of his property gives us love poems and rom-com DVDs. Gazchap was one of the Townie Lovers.

Anything else?

Oh yes. There's a trail of blood. A big ol' trail of blood. It's everywhere, and it leads to zaphod79.

Or at least what's left of him. His head's still there, but the rest has been torn apart and thrown all over the ruddy place. Nasty!

Zaphod had on him a police identification badge, and a book entitled 'They're all out to get you'.

zaphod79 was the Paranoid Cop.

17 players, so 9 votes for a lynch, or a no lynch.

Day ends Thursday at 1.30pm, or before if we get a lynch.

Well, i'm claiming this as a good night for the town. 1 mafia down, a recruiting one none-the-less, and a paranoid cop, which would have only confused us further.
Losing gazchap is a blow, especially as he had solid info on another townie.

Plus... you know... I was right yesterday... I'm not going to mention it though, as that would be crass.

Shame about GazChap, but good to lose the Bastard Cop.

I wonder if the other long lost sibling knew the identity of their brother?

That's a pretty good night for the town, to be one Mafia Goon down right away.
Presumably the Townie Lover category has been in a previous game? Are there ramifications for the other Townie Lover if one of them dies? By that, I mean can we expect some kind of grief-stricken, murderous rampage or something?

I was a wee bit suspicious of zaphod yesterday for joining with grim...s random vote first thing, since it seemed unlike him. I suppose him being a paranoid cop would explain that. I barely remember gazchap from yesterday, I'll reread but I'm guessing that's a potshot chosen because it won't really give us anything to go on. I still stand by my suspicions of TFF, although I'm second guessing myself now and wondering if a baddy would really act so mentally?! We have plenty of time, so I'm going to go for it anyway. I didn't even notice that townie lover thing! I was to busy re-scanning for where it said we were a mafia down, I was confused by whoever said that til I realised they were talking about squirt. D'oh.

I agree with my namesake here, this is good for the town. A mafia down, and 2 potential points of confusion gone.

It's a shame to lose a townie, and especially one that communicate with another person, but it could have lead to one of them doing a fake role claim which could have drawn out a role claim from a townie power role thinking the false claim was a baddie.

So, let's keep it up.

Jeez oh I'd forgotten how much people jumped on things in this. I meant (which I thought was obvious but maybe it wasn't) that zaphod acted strangely by jumping on the first vote, but now that is explainable because as a paranoid cop presumably he was going to see guilt in a random choice and therefore want to join in with it. Seriously, I don't really understand why you would try to second guess anything else from that.

We were, but that doesn't mean I think he was bad, just that he was an idiot ;)

Grim... Was the first to name squirt and put him in the firing line.
Alberto picked up on squirt being a bit weird and pushed him back into the firing line after the pressure on him had died down a bit.
I pushed extremely hard to get him lynched, rather than waiting and ending up with what was looking like a no lynch.

I think the first people we should be focusing on are the ones who yesterday pushed hardest for Troooper's lynch - especially towards the end when it was becoming clear that the Squirt bandwagon was seriously gathering pace. The three obvious names, after a reread of the first day's thread are Grim..., Nikachu and Bobbyaro. All of whom continued to push either for Trooper's lynching or no lynch pretty much right up to the end. It just makes me wonder if they had a vested interest in trying to save Squirt.
And yes, I'm including Grim... even though he started the ball rolling with the first vote for Squirt, because his subsequent unvote and then increasingly panicked attempts to either push for a Trooper lynch or a nolynch made me extremely suspicious when it turned out Squirt was a baddun. It rather smacks of a clever Mafia plan going awry to me.

Anyway, [Vote:Grim...]

Well if that's what you're saying, I really need to reread. Because as I remember it, you were on a few votes, squirt was introduced and then it was between you two. Without squirt being up, you would have been the sole target. Also note I didn't vote for you due to the randomness of it, preferring to come up with my own justification for a vote.
