Scene : Dark Alley

<A girl is walking alone, a van speeds up alongside her. The door opens, she is pulled inside. She screams>

Scene : A beaten up trailer

<The camera pans around a messed up bedroom. Empty bottles are everywhere. A phone rings>

Jock : Yeah, what is it

Voice : We have your daughter.

Jock : What?

Voice : We have your daughter.

Jock : What?

Voice : Are you fucking deaf or something?

Jock : I'm going to kill you, you scumbags, you maggots, you cheap lousy faggots.

<Jock jumps out of bed and runs out to his suburban. He heads out to save the day>

<clock starts>

<BEEP BEEP BEEP>

Actions sent to me by 10pm Tuesday please. If Jock interrogates sooner than that, then the next day will start sooner than the deadline if all actions are in, otherwise the deadline will stick.

Please check the rules thread regulary, but for today, here is what we know so far...

Kima is a fucking idiot and has been kidnapped.
Jock is going to do whatever it takes to get her back.

People in play.
Jock Bower.
Kidnappers.
FBI.
CTU.
Townies.
.
.
.

However, this is 24, anything can happen...

Rules of the game
You have each been given a role.
Days will last 24 hours and will finish at 10pm each night, or sooner if Jock picks a person to interrogate early and all actions have been sent.
If you have an action, you must have sent it to me by 10pm that night for it to count, as the next "day" will start immediately.
You can preload actions by sending me a list of what you want to do (with options depending on what Jock does if you like)
At the end of the "day" (or sooner) Jock will decide who to interrogate and tell the "town" Then shit will go down.
The players of the game become known as and when Jock knows, we are playing the game through his eyes, we know what he knows.

Roles

Jock Bower * 1
The hero. You cannot be targeted or killed.
Win condition - Kima is free
Action - Interrogate
Alignment - Good

FBI Agent * ?
On the side of the good guys
Win condition - all bad guys dead
Action - Investigate - find out the alignment of a person
Alignment - Good

Kidnapper * ?
You have Kima.
Action - kill
Alignment - Bad

Head of CTU
You know who else is in CTU and can talk to them
Action - Protect - you can choose a person to bring into the agency overnight, nothing will happen to them.
Win condition - all bad guys dead
Alignment - Good

CTU Agent * ?
You can talk to the head of CTU.
Action - Block - you can choose a person to run an internet protocol event on, this stops them in their tracks for a night.
Win condition - all bad guys dead
Alignment - Good

Townies * ?
Win condition - all bad guys dead
Alignment - Good

Oh, hey! The news says some girl has been kidnapped. I'd happily trade a few girls a year to avoid extra-judicial torture in the name of freedom becoming a commonplace occurance. Still, if it makes us all that bit safer, maybe it is for the best. I don't know, who am I to say. Maybe I'm just a narrator sitting down having a cup of coffee whilst idly flicking throuhg my phone thinking "Why hasn't he texted?". A greek chorus, or a greek tragedy. I've elarnt that from an early age in life, such is my role in events.

What a terrible world we live in when a (presumably white, blonde and hot) young girl can be kidnapped in such a manner.

A commie wouldn't kidnap your daughter. She's done enough redistribution of the wealth as it is, according to the graffitti on the wall of the bathroom I've just left.

I do hope this poor girl will be rescued, ideally in a manner that breaks neither the US Constitution or any of the various treaties and international laws that apply.

I have no idea why Jock is hanging around here talking to us. He should be busy, or something.

You seem very well-informed, MaliA.

Almost as if you'd done a lot of scouting on people who might stop you kidnapping Kima!

Yes. My father once told me to always keep an ear to the ground. In hindsight, he also said things like "Never tape a banjo to a giraffe", so I probably shouldn't have listened.

Why? Should banjos be taped to giraffes more often?

As a nice, innocent non-kidnappy person I'm not entirely sure what I should be doing.

Er - keeping out of the way seems to be the thing.

There does not seem to be much happening - however given its day one there is not a lot of information out there to go on :-(

BTW does day 1 finish tonight at 22:00 or tomorrow ?

Also, the baddies will all be caught by the halfway point, before it is revealed that they were just pawns manipulated by an even bigger bad guy all along.

I'm more inclined to believe that you're all actually bad guys. Or at the very least conspirators.

Given the narrator's past stylings, I'm fairly sure there's at least one secret role!

Fairly sure, or do you just know because it's you?

MaliA, your ear could be useful glued to the floor, you might hear the kidnapper's footsteps and be able to enlighten us all as to what sort of shoe they wear... Or how much they weigh, that might be useful too.

[Sekeret roll #3] Airplane

You are an airplane , when Jock picks someone to interrogate you can crash into the playfield however the <beep beep> stuff will flash up to warn people beforehand and everyone who has had their contract renewed will survive by hiding inside a hollowed out fake bomb

If day one does indeed end at 10pm tonight, quiet people probably want to start speaking, or it gets the flex.

I was going to hold on to this, (as I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing) but as I have no way of communicating other than through here, I may as well (as it's probably nothing anyway) but I wonder if Malia is trying to convince people he is Van Gogh for some reason or other?

I hope I haven't put my foot in it if he's a good guy, but I think it's more likely that he's reaching out to another baddie.

I hope I haven't put my foot in it if he's a good guy, but I think it's more likely that he's reaching out to another baddie.

Malc

Can the bad guys not talk to each other then?

I really should go and read the rules...

Oops, it doesn't say! Errr.... *confused*

Am I being really dense, or is the only declared bad guy the kidnapper? I agree there are likely to be more than that, but still...

I was going to hold on to this, (as I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing) but as I have no way of communicating other than through here, I may as well (as it's probably nothing anyway) but I wonder if Malia is trying to convince people he is Van Gogh for some reason or other?

The kidnappers surely have to be able to talk to one another - I don't think it really makes any sense otherwise.

We don't know the number of kidnappers either - I'm going by the assumption that there's more than one.

The kidnappers are all tucked away not talking are they? Who's not piped up yet?

Also, did we get confirmed if it was 10pm tonight or tomorrow night?
