Post your full stories here, ready to cut and paste (obviously also state whether true or false).

Try and get it done in the next 20 minutes or so, so we can decide which to use. If you've posted already in the last thread, cut and paste your story into here, please.

To start with, no chat, just stories, please. ASAP!

If you need more time, just let me know. I'm trying to get this wrapped up for the weekend.

False story:

I was once carrying a huge catering tub of mayonnaise. They are huge round white tubs, a bit like plastic paint pots, about 14" across, and have a handle on top.

As I was struggling to carry it, the handle 'unclipped' from the side of the tub, and as I made a grab for the falling tub, it landed on it's side and the lid sprang off and mayonnaise went EVERYWHERE, covering everyone to my left hand side to a height of about a foot, including the shins and shoes of Ainslie Harriot.

It wasn't taken badly, and though it caused a massive inconvenience, it was clearly an accident and nothing bad would come of it as long as I cleaned it up quickly. Whilst I was doing that, however, I put the heel of my shoe down at an awkward angle and my leg slipped out, forwards, and knocked a catering trolley that loads of small little bowls of spices, etc, in them, which then filled the air, went absolutely everywhere and had my eyes streaming whilst I continued to try and clean things up and make things 'right'.

FALSE - I once spilled red wine over Oz Clarke at a wine tasting event.

TRUE - I once had dinner in the most elite/exclusive Conservative Party club in the country

story from myself....

Quote:
Whilst i am not Lothario by any stretch of the imagination, when i was a younger (and fitter man) i found myself in a wonderful situation. I was living away from my parents for the first time, and was living in a rented house near Kingston Uni, being young free and single i enjoyed a active social life and since I was working full time for good monies I liked to splash out and act the 'city wanker' at times.

One evening i was lucky enough to have two very pretty friends (one of the girls was studying Sports science and i think the other was doing Journalism) over to my place, we were intending to go out but some wacky backy that I had soon put paid to that idea, we all chilled out and I put on some background music. As the evening progressed I was astounded to find these two lovely girls getting more amorous.

Being a young and very inexperienced lad I decided to turn it up a notch by adding candlelight into the mix, so after raiding all the tea candles and other candles under the kitchen sink the lights were dimmed and the room glowed beautifully. So picture the scene, the young hero is stretched out on the sofa with a beautiful lady curled up either side of him, he is kissing one whilst the other is nibbling his earlobe*. A strange warm sensation starts to spread up his leg which is hanging over the end of the sofa, which he puts to the back of his mind as he has much more pressing matters. His excitement is building, the idea of a threesome is whirling around in his head removing all other concerns. This is my main defence in the whole situation, what red blooded young male wouldn't feel the same.

A few minutes (may have been less), a few minutes of bliss, the moment was shattered, I jumped from the sofa, spilling one lady to the floor in the process, with a scream on my lips. I sounded like a five year old girl! But looking down the warn sensation had turned in to a raging torrent of agony, my leg had been suspended over a candle and was now on its way to cooked. I bolted for the shower and stood in the stream of water whimpering to myself.

Needless to say that spoiled the mood and both girls made excuses and left pretty soon after, to be fair to them they did want to take me to the hospital but i refused, so i spent a sad lonely embarrassed weekend on my own.

*What is up with that anyway? Just feels odd to me, not in the least sexual.

TRUE -

I once knocked Charlie Dimmock flat on her arse whilst on my way to work, it was in the middle of Waterloo station, i was just walking along and she walked straight into me, was quite shocked to see who was on the floor in front of me. This was during the height of the Groundforce era.

I don't think we have many people 'here', Grim... I know APoD says he won't be able to participate, and I GJ can't access anything. I'm trying to get people to post stories, so let's see if we get a few, but it will be impossible if nobody can get to a computer in the next 20 mins or so.

True story

I once did a fashion show where I dressed up in World War 2 clothing to raise money for a local old peoples home charity.
The night involved me getting to the venue early (an old stately home) and then when the time came, me and a few others paraded down the cat walk in clothing from world war 2 whilst a Winston Churchill impersonator did a speech. The funny thing about the evening is that my head is so big the wardens helmet had to kind of sit on top of my head making me look quite stupid. When it came time to dress as a spiv, there was no chance the hat would fit so it kind of rested on the back of my head. Also, one of the old blokes there shouted "get your hair cut" while I was doing the modelling.
One of my friends who is quite large couldn’t get any clothes to fit so he operated the spot light.

Whilst I was there, I met a local news reader and met the gentleman who used to be the puppeteer for Sweep in the Sooty and Sweep show.

Okay, we'll play it by ear. You've got four so far, so that's fairly good going.

You'd need to take out the detail sbout the news reader if we used that, I think. Detail is too specific as many people wouldnt know who she was, or if she was having an affair, but google would give too much credence.

yeah, we'll try for 11, still, but not too stressy. I haven't even had a drink today, yet. Going to get a coffee and need to get my ducks in a row as I'm a wee bit stressed x

Well, it's been fun.

At least I don't have to risk breaking my neck with a handstand now.

Good luck everyone!

Anyone's ideas on which of the stories we should use?

we need one true and two false, remember. I think one false story with very little details to be expanded upon (Curio's Oz Clark story?) one with detail (perhaps my mayonnaise story) and a true story with scant detail that can be expanded upon later - what do you think?

no idea, but it would be odd if you left immediately, but then, who knows? I can't see it written anywhere.

First thing TASKMASTER says after we guessed wrong, so TV can enter a story.

All up to you though, Meems.

I think we should use the Vision's true story then. What do you reckon, Curio? Perhaps mine and your false stories. Slightly Green's story is all too believable to any past student.

it is a great story, but that's kind of its problem in this task - I think everyone will go for it as true.

Ok, we'll go with his true story and mine and yours false stories, curio.
