Not really, it would be far more likely for the borg to wait for a non-borg to vote for another non-borg then pile in to finish them off, rather than all pile in on one person and hope someone else finishes the job for them.

If that was the case then are there really 4 borgs?

Maybe, maybe not. If there are 4, then it's going to be really hard to get a (useful) lynch, because the borg have no reason to lynch one of their own. The way this day has played out so far does seem to strongly point towards there being 4 borg.

Yes, yes I am, I am really that obvious, and because me pushing for a lynch is exactly the plan the borg need. They really need to kill someone during the day phase or they are finished. Oh, no wait, the other one.
Also, weren't you saying earlier that malc was a romulan?

You're being paranoid now. Try voting for me if you like, but I don't think I'd last long.
No lynch isn't the worst way today could end.

No, that is true, but so far we have found two people who others aren't happy to vote for. One of whom stated he was happy for a time out, and the other who thinks there are only 2 borg, despite there being strong arguments otherwise.

There are not arguments only suggestions on what the borg queen has been doing.
No-one really knows that but the Queen herself or Malc.

Like I said I would prefer a lynch rather than not & will change my vote if need to complete a lynch.

This is a good thing, it's when we find someone that others are happy to vote for that we've probably blown it. I think the Romulan is our only hope. At least for tonight.

Question to Craster, SG & The Vision. Why are none of you putting in the last vote for Gos? Do you all firmly believe that he's not a borg, or are you all unwilling to lynch one of your own?

Because you said above that if any of the people not voting for Gos was borg, surely they'd cast the last vote and get him killed. You think I'm going to follow that with a vote for Gos? I have no idea what he is, but I'm not putting myself in the line of fire with nothing whatsoever to go on.

So yes. I'm not voting for him because you've said that if I do, I'm borg.

I said that if any of the people not voting Gos was borg, they'd put the last vote in, unless of course, he was borg as well.
In a similar fashion to the Vision's post, it's a waste of everyones time for you to basically post that you're not going to vote for anyone, but thanks for pretty much confirming my suspicions.

If you clarify that you don't think that voting for Gos is an indication that a person is borg, which is what your earlier post said (however you meant it to say), I'll happily vote for him.

That merely suggests that if you were borg (and Gos wasn't), surely you'd (referring to any of the non-voters at that time, not necessarily you) want to vote for him and get him lynched. It doesn't say that voting for Gos is an indication that a person is borg (at the time, I was voting for him, so that would be a pretty stupid thing to say), just that if a person were borg, it would be in their best interests to cast a vote, unless of course Gos was a borg, in which case it would not be in their best interests.

Of course, I'm sure you'll "happily vote for him", just like Gos will "happily" vote for The Vision.

Well... that “quick post” went down well. I’ve been out all day so haven’t had chance to post.

I’m sure that Malc is a Borg. I’ve had a FOS on him since Trooper went on about him and I’ve stuck with it... you’ll see! I don’t think Gos is a Borg but I haven’t been paying as much attention to him but since I have no communication with anyone apart from in the thread, I’m not sure.

I don’t think I’m very good at this game but incidentally.. this is the longest I’ve ever lasted in one!

Not a clue. Malc's been fighting with everyone from the start. Gos looks suspicious, but gos always looks suspicious. My wild speculation?

Romulans: Malc and Bobby.
Borg: TheVision and .... two unknown others? Four nights, one dead.

Oh. Right, yes. 1 queen plus four nights, minus one dead gives us four borg. That does make sense, yes.

Just seems to be a few people suggesting that the borg aren't really that much of a threat, and although it's perfectly reasonable to assume they make up 50% of the players, there's actually probably only 2 or 3 of them.
Of course at this point, Davpaz is posting in the dead thread about how there really are only 2 or 3 borg and I'm going to feel like a big tool later. Even more than usual.

I say gospvg is a borg, and this isn't born of frustration being unable to pronounce his name in my head, thus stumbling over it every time I read his posts.

Okay maybe it is.

I got a gut feeling* and no amount of replicated Earl Grey tea can quench it.

*For this read: 'Unable to understand logic.'

Can't we ask Majel Barrett who's who?

VOTE UPDATE

malc: 2 (TheVision, Slightly Green)
gospvg: 2 (Malc, NervousPete)
thevision: 3 (Bobbyaro, Joans, gospvg)

Not voted: 1 (craster)

With 8 players alive, 5 votes are required for a lynch, and 6 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

2 hours to go, I think we are better having a lynch then nothing & if it is to be The Vision then so be it.
I would prefer Malc but Joans & Bobby are against that so they could be Borg protecting Malc the Queen.

It has been a quiet day with a few players not posting so it is going to be difficult to get the 5 needed for a lynch & The Vision seems to be the current favourite.

I'm off to get some food, back soon.

OTOH, it is possible malc was borgified last night, after being kind of cleared re Trooper's death, if our logic from yesterday holds.

I did originally point the finger at Malc & TheVision on page 1, but when Gos dismissed the borg threat my focus switched to him. After that it becomes a bit tricky to work out who isn't voting deliberately, and who just isn't here.
If there are 4 borg, then even if the Romulans hit the queen tonight, there will be a borg majority tomorrow.

Ok we either need two more for TheVision or we (bobby, Joans & moi) switch votes to Malc?

There is of course the other option of getting three more votes on me - which I don't want obviously.

Not voted: 1 (craster)

Craster - don't waste your vote, vote for someone?

I am absolutly confused, which I am sure is the borg plan.

I really don't know who to trust, or what to do.

but as we've got less than 90 minutes, I could consider voting for TheVisiion...

TheVision is thrown through the airlock to the sound of raucous guffaws at the end of what might come to be known as Belm Thursday.

He explodes like the atoms he studied as a scientist.

TheVision was a Civilian.

Night orders by 11am Friday, please.
