I hope this doesn't last all weekend, but I suspect it will get down to two people with two votes each, and crippling indecision from the last person...

I can see a consensus being reached, eventually, and then the night actions that will potentially decide the winner.

There's actually potential for a draw, but it's pretty unlikely.

Malc's laying it on far too thick with his "Romulan's aren't a threat, the borg will doom us all" shtick.

Bobby seems to have overlooked the fact that Pete could have been assimilated last night, so who he voted for previously would be immaterial.

OR HAS HE?!?

If you throw enough stupid guesses at the wall, one should be right eventually, myp.

Still waiting, mind...

Hey, that was my first stupid guess of the whole game. I knew Russ was a baddie, though. Felt it in my bones.

I can only presume there are 2 romulans and 2 borg left, with both sides waiting for the last crewman to cast the final vote to decide who wins.

As a Romulan I know who my team are, but I don't know if they've been Borgified.

There's only 5 of 'em left. SG and NP are nto around much during the day, leaving it as Malc, Bobby and Joans to discuss during the day.

Malc and Joans have made their cases and voted... just remains for Bobby to decide which way his vote will go.

The day phases are the only outlet the good teams have - from whats left there is probably only one (Riker) or two left on the good side everyone else is borg or Romulan and they probably know who is who

*Soft tinkling yet subtly menacing piano music, one note after another in an ascending scale until, suddenly, it begins again from the bottom, ever repeating... A man with a pointy ears stands atop an ascending escalator, suspended in the cosmos. He arrives at the waiting room, where he takes a ticket and joins the queue for his wings. A large crowd of glaring Federation members await him.*

Hello everyone, it is I, the Romulan Leader. Sorry about all the murder. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I do hope you won't hold it against me. I'm just glad to be back amongst the living... well, the soulful. It began to get awfully creepy being surrounded by dead-eyed Borg posing as humans. It was almost a relief when that thundering clot Bobbyaro voted me dead. Good job I jury rigged the coffee machine to self destruct, thus immolating myself in scolding hot Americano before I had the indignity of being lynched. Yes, I agree there's a better way of killing oneself with vapourisation and all that, but paranoia does funny things to the mind.

So... where do I get assigned to?

My guess at the moment : 4 players left

1 romulan
2 borg
1 riker

Riker cannot be captured by the borg , the romulan can kill someone - the borg can borgify the remaining romulan.

The borgify comes first in the order of stuff

** more stuff to be added as i work through it **

1:
The Borg hit Riker (joans?) - no recruit
The Romulan hits the queen

Leaves 1 players one of each side left (if riker then sides with the romulan then the borg goes out and the romulan kills riker the next night romulans win / if riker sides with the borg then the romulan goes out and its a draw human / borg )

2 :
The borg hit riker - no recruit
The romulan hits the drone
Leaves 1 players one of each side left (if riker then sides with the romulan then the borg goes out and the romulan kills riker the next night romulans win / if riker sides with the borg then the romulan goes out and its a draw human / borg , however since the queen can recruit the romulan it would make sence for them not to vote and recruit the romulan next night - and if the romulan kills riker = borg win , if the romulan kills the borg queen = borg win as they could kill riker the next night)

3:
The borg hit the remaining romulan - recruit
The romulan hits anyone - it doesnt matter - borg win

Wow, surely it'll be over by morning? Can the game even function if there are only 3 players left?

Would that make it the lowest number of players left in a running game ever? :)

I think it's happened before.

We've definitely had a tie before, as I was one of the two people left alive.

viewtopic.php?p=52417#p52417

Quote:
Convinced that he is the remaining bad guy, Curiosity and KevR turn on Runcle. They tackle him to the ground, and a struggle ensues. Runcles tries to grope inside his jacket, scrabbling for his gun, but it's no good. KevR pins his arms down while Curiosity grabs a spade and beats Runcle to death.

From his dying actions, it becomes clear what side he was on:

Runcle was a Mafia Goon.

Blood-spattered and exhausted, not just from today but the events of the week, Curio and Kev look at each other. A tense moment ensues and suddenly they both burst out laughing. With the last mafia man dead, neither of them can win.

KevR reveals that he is a Vanilla Townie, and Curiosity admits that he was once a Bulletproof Townie but is now a Cult Convert. With a pub full of booze and no need to pay for it, they head off for a drink, and resolve to leave town together the next day. The game ends as a Town/Cult stalemate.

Congrats to all who played. This thread is now unlocked for chat. Notable mentions and awards shortly.

That's so funny, I didn't bother clicking on the link and assumed based on this comment that it was you that had written it.

I'd forgotten I hosted a game once. Awesome.

Given how near the end we are, and how short I made the night phase, I'm gonna extend it to try and make sure we get all the actions in.
