After a stressful day yesterday, the cleaning lady Mrs Miggins is back at work.

<scream>
<followed by a muttered "FFS!">

She finds Mr Russell with his mouth clamped open and his throat filled with crude oil which has suffocated him.

There is a note, which reads:
"Those who sit in the dark, saying nothing but hearing all are enemies of freedom and democracy. As a freedom loving and liberated country, Libya can not allow this. Feel the wrath of The Father of Freedom, INFIDEL!"

Mr Russell was a Swiss Councillor

The morning is not over though...

The delegates notice another of their number is missing and they begin to make their way to his bedroom, a slow and reluctant journey as the breakfast buffet has just opened. His rooms are some how in the best location in the grandest hotel...just who do you have to bribe around here? There is a DND sign hanging on the door and a faint smell of Earl Grey tea. Upon gaining entry to the suite, the delegates follow the now pungent smell of tea to the bathroom.....Where they find Curiosity floating face down in an almost swimming pool sized bath of Earl Grey. His body fat and bloated from all the free meals, his skin blistered from the scalding water; it was apparent he had been boiled alive.

Curiosity was the Osama-a-like!

With 14 players alive, 8 votes are required for a lynch, and 11 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Day 3 Ends at 10pm Friday.

Remember, you are voting people off the council, not for lynching, but the principal stays the same!

Can a mod do the death thread access thing please

I'm sorry, we've bagged 2 presidents and osama, and you start with "Oh Bugger"!

Yes it's unfortunate to lose a Swiss, but having just taken out 3 of the worst players in the game, I think we can say "YAY"

Over all a pretty good result for the 'town', yay. Time to go get a coffee and breakfast, will look over the minuets from the previous days, i am sure there must be something interesting in it all.

Well, the bad guys and their blood lust are doing a pretty good job of finishing each other off, aren't they!?

Sorry about yesterday, I seemed to have taken a wrong turn after the break for lunch and ended up in a hugely boring meeting about tiling! They had a rather excellent choice of pastries and free espresso so...you know how it is!

I need to have a read over what went on in here yesterday afternoon, I am still suspicious of Malc and I think him admitting to have been off getting stoned could have been leading to the laying of a trap, perhaps. I will have a good think about that. We do know that, for whatever reason, someone with a killing role didn't kill last night and from the looks of the crime scenes, I'd say it was the Afgans.

So, did they perhaps set their IED in the hope someone would either investigate/kill one of their number? Someone who perhaps claimed, for no good reason at all, to have been protected the night before?

We have not taken them out of the game, a fanatic will step up to take the role.

We don't know if there is one American (now the President) left or not, do we? The rules stipulate that there were 0-2 cabinet members.

I'm lumping everyone together because I'm assuming that if a leader dies, someone else takes over.

Americans - 2 dead, 0-1 left
British - 0 dead, 1-3 left

Afghans - 1 dead, 0-2 left
Lybians - 0 dead, 1-3 left

Germans - 0 dead, 1-3 left
Dutch - 1 dead, 0-2 left

French - 0 dead, 1-3 left

Switzerland - 1 dead, ? left

Is that right?

Aye, as it makes sense to get rid off all the kill roles, as long as you don't have a kill role yourself then this is defiantly the way forward. Well from how i understand it anyhow.

Why are there no biscuits!? For fucks fucking sake!

I've just checked the schedules on the other conference rooms, there is another tiling conference after our mid morning break (man, these days feel long when you're constantly sat in meetings) try not to kick anyone out while I'm gone because I'm going in search of tastier treats!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this probably means a killer was roleblocked or their target protected last night, yes?

I've always been a bit shady on this, but if Osama was due to do some killings and was killed himself, would that stop his killing action?

I think the usual rule is that all kills happen simultaneously, and, I like to think, comically.

Or he could have been roleblocked? We just don't know. But it's probably best to assume that he was? Since there was only 2 actions last night?

According to the rules

Quote:
Action Order
Vote fix - Roleblocks - Investigating - Kill

I think in other games the kills all go off at the same time so it is only a roleblock that could have stopped a kill, they didn't used the IEDs as that would have saved Osamalike from the British hit (and killed a Brit). This would suggest that another Afgan (if more than one is left alive) was going for the kill was Roleblocked (unless it was Curio himself who was going for the kill and he was Roleblocked also)

Well thats how i see the situation, am i missing anything?

So can we assume that the other afghan who went for the kill was affected by the dutch? Is that the safest thing we can assume? Or maybe the germans chose to defend the person the afghans went for? Or they targeted a frenchman and they ran? That's about all we've got to go on isnt it?

I hadn't considered the possibility that Curio was roleblocked, actually. I kind of hope not though, as that would mean our roleblocker's info is now redundant.

I don't suppose it makes a big difference to us at this point, really.

There are a lot of people being quiet which really doesn't serve our purpose at all, feels like people hiding in the shadows letting the days pass so as they can get to the night again. I'm going to reread the thread and then post who I'm most uncomfortable with due to lack of posts.

I think it is best to assume that the Afgans did indeed attempt a kill last night but they were blocked by the Dutch.

The reason I say this is, the Germans can only roleblock by defending, at this stage with so many roles etc. any but an investigate would be waste of time. It is useful later in the game or when people in other investigating/roleblocking/good guy roles are forced to roleclaim but no-one has done or said anything to suggest anyone needs defending. Especially in a way that would result in both the Afgans and the Germans target the same person.

The Dutch may have targeted Curio, in which case we learn nothing. However, as he was the boss, it is unlikely he'd go out and do the killing himself unless he was the only diplomat here to represent his country. If the Dutch did block Curio, then I would reason that he was probably the only Afgan on the committee.

Obviously, we can't know anything without confirmation from the Dutch....Which I wouldn't suggest as we can't waste the Germans investigation action on Defending the Dutch, effectively losing us 2 roleblocking and/or investigating roles.

UNLESS! The Afgans managed to target tie French President, in which case all of what I've said can be ignored ?:| FFS.......

Ok, Curio pushed for the lynch on Alberto, but given his role he cant have known anything and was obviously just going for someone and hoping they were another power role. (may I also point out I was the first to vote for Alberto and gave a good reason-his overreaction at the end of the previous day. Why does no one listen to my logic but listens to curios bloodlust? :'( )
From a quick skim of the thread yesterday, Malc was preaching caution about the Alberto vote. I skimmed the thread very quickly, mainly to see curios posts but the persistence of Malc drew my attention. Does this mean Malc was trying to save Alberto?
Mr Russell has been very very quiet, this makes me uncomfortable. Joins has been quiet but that is pretty normal, maybe he has a rubbish translator or something (do you use a translator Joans?)
I think I will [vote:Malc]
I am uneasy about letting others dictate the meeting since we have too many opposing factions and it all really takes is for someone to suggest a couple of names and all talk centres on those people from then on. I urge you to consider what I have said but to try and not be influenced by it. Instead, read back over the thread and try and reach your own conclusions. Our best bet to get the bad guys is to think for ourselves. Hopefully they all continue knocking each other off while we learn how to do that ;)

I wasn't persistant, I mearly said wait and see what he has said, by the time I saw what he had said his fate was already sealed.

At the moment I am very much available before 09:00 and after 17:30, but not so much inbetween (apart from the odd chance in my breaks)

Also I voted for him on day 1, now that could have been a ploy on my part as I might have been confident that no vote would carry.

But it wasn't.

Nikachu I think agreed with me on waiting and seeing. But I don't see you calling him to account? (Now it maybe that he revoted, I haven't checked yet)

Hmmm

I see that Nickachu did indeed change back.

Well, all I have is my word then. I thought waiting was a good idea, and if you see who ultimatly was leading the rush; it was Osama-Bear-Curio, so in hindsight reluctance was a good idea too.

Agreed. This somewhat supports a suspicion I had that the villains are going for quiet people to deny us information.

This suggests to me, though, that we may be better off voting for a quiet person to draw someone out and possibly reduce the number of targets the villains have.

The problem we have is that with most roles being effectively shared amongst several people (eg: we could have more than one Germanian), people sticking up for each other in thread might not mean they're bad'uns.

I would like to suggest that we hold out for a few days of no-vote or great caution, and demand that one German roleclaims, because that way we can get their information, but still have another member of the faction continue to investigate even if the roleclaimer is killed.

However, this depends on there being more than one German, and on more than one staying alive over several days. It also depends to a lesser extent on their actually gathering useful information, which isn't guaranteed.

So rather than recommend we do that outright, I'd like to ask the assembled members of council to consider it. What do we think? Worth the risk?

Oh, sorry, I meant to edit that quote. The part I was agreeing with was that Russ was very quiet.

Also I'd like to add to the 'consider no-vote' idea that so far, the nasties have done a good job of taking care of each other. Indeed, their win conditions don't actually preclude co-operating with the neutrals in order to get rid of their enemies, and it may also be worth noting that the warmongers in particular seem to have the lead so far.

Reading back I tend to agree with Gilly so [vote:malc]

Nikachu looks suspicious also.

The no vote idea I don't agree with we need to see the voting patterns of users, this is useful info in deciding who to lynch.
