You seem very sure about the number of stormtroopers and that Maul is in the game and what he's doing.

Exactly what I thought, in fact the more I think about this, the more suss I get:

Well, we know Flis didn't read the rules.
Also, it you know Maul is in the game, they you don't know the number of Stormies. And vice versa.

Wrong - the Sith know how many stormtroopers they have, they just don't know who they are.

It doesn't appear to be, but then the bit about telling Vader who role-blocked them isn't either.

Also - Jesus, there are a possible 21 named roles (20 now that we know that one stormtrooper is dead).

If you assume that all of the 0 - x roles have their maximum number, that leaves only 2 vanilla rebels.

Actually, 19 named roles because JJB is dead.

Which leaves a potential 3 vanilla rebels, with 2 left now that gospvg is gone.

From the rules, under Palpatine:
Quote:
You know the identities of the other Sith (Vader and Maul), but not of the faceless Stormtroopers (you will know how many you have).

And given that the Sith can communicate, Palps, Bader and Gaul will all know how many they've got.

Right now, the two I'm most keen on getting rid of are flis and Grim...

flis for apparently knowing that Maul is definitely in the game and how many stormtroopers are left.
Grim... for questioning my roleblock information and seemingly trying to defend flis by saying that she can't possibly know that Maul is in the game AND how many stormtroopers there are left.

Reading the last few pages of this makes my head hurt - and the rules link in the first post doesnt work :-)
(previous ones do).

I'll back up Gaz by saying that on night 2 I didnt sleep because I was being choked by Vader all evening - so there is a message to say if Vader has targetted you.

I agree with Gaz's comments that "the baddies already know this" (cause they chose to target me) , and the goodies dont so it doesnt give out any further info.

I merrily managed not to read that bit.

I am, however, suspicious of your roleblock stuff, simply because the rules don't say you'll be told (when clearly they should, as it's quite a big deal), and no-one else has mentioned it. I'd be a lot happier if someone else says "I was blocked on day 2" or something.

And this is going to sound a bit dodgy now, but you make a good point about Flis.

If they've roleblocked you, all that proves is that you're not a Big Bad. You could still be a stormtrooper, evil Lando, Jabba, Bobba, Java (droid slaver guy, if I've got the name wrong)... I think that's all of them.

Although I doubt those guys would announce the roleblock, as it would probably just spur the Sith to whomp them the next night. Hm.

Not got enough to vote on anyone yet. I seem to recall Jasmine was very quiet for the first few days, although if I remember right she did say at the time that she had work and ting.

Any ideas, Jas? Or alarm? You were fairly quiet too, I think.

I didn't say I knew how many STs are left....I am assuming there are the maximum number of them in the game because that seems like the safest assumption to make at this stage with so many people still in play, until Palpatine is lynched. I say lynched because the Jedi, even if they know who he is, can't kill Palps if there is even 1 ST in the game, which there is at the very least because the other one can't have committed suicide.

So you're saying that the only way I could know if Maul was in the game protecting Vader, would be if I was part of the Empire....?

I still don't know who to vote for, this game is quite slow-paced, it would seem.

This appears to be a deliberate misunderstanding of the rules now.

Pretty much.

The only way you could possibly know both elements without being Sith (firstly that Maul is in the game, and secondly that he's protecting Vader) is by asking the GM those two questions across two nights.

Which seems an odd set of questions to ask if you ask me.

I'm also assuming the maximum number of troopers in play , and that makes *2* , one is dead , the role is 0-3 , therefore there are *probably* 2 troopers left ?

Why would he choose to take one for the team if there were still stormtroopers left to sacrifice...? That's reasonable, isn't it?

Rules clarification needed!

Luke gets in trouble if he hits non-sith. Does sith mean actual Sith (Palpatine, Vader, Maul) or people with win condition Sith (so stormies, too)?

Your voting is very misdirected....I don't get why assuming there are the max number of troopers is bad? All I've said is how I think things are, they're not unreasonable assumptions.

Grim... is Vader. who you think I am?

Eh? Sorry, I didn't even mean that. Spazzy hand plus posting from a phone. But now I (inadvertently) mention it, why would you not be Vader? You're as likely to be him as anyone else who believes the only way I could think Maul is in the game is if I'm a baddie. Seems like a good scape goat to have, doesn't it?

I'm not panicking much, I must confess.

I've gotten all in a tizzy over this now. To clarify:

Palpatine can pull one of his Stormtroopers in the way if he is targetted to be killed in a night action BUT can't do that to escape a normal day's lynching?

So... night 2, someone tries to waste Palps, he throws Russell in the way.

Night 3, presumably, the same person tries to off Palps again, but he is this time protected by either an ally or a lucky roleblock.

Hmmm...

No! If Luke had tried to waste palps, he would have used a lightsabre, not a blaster. It must have been Palps targetting one of his own Stormies by accident.

I don't think so, because Mr Russ was hit with a blaster.
