Good question. I'm not lynching because I'm pretty confident we'll have little to go on today for a lynch - may change my mind later, but unlikely. Why is it more likely the baddies will win this way? Genuine question
I've seen the argument several times, and I've never quite been convinced by the outcome.
It seems to be "But we
might hit a good guy" and "Look at the voting patterns!", which a) only a properly newbian bad guy team are going to show themselves up in, and b) we have a good guy team this time, too.
I am generally inclined to not lynch on the first day, especially with so many power roles - more info on day two, like. Also the vanilla tow... rebels have more support this time and may be able to rely on the Jedi rather than only having the lynch to defend themselves.
That said, if we do lynch on day one, I would strongly suggest that whoever it is, make it someone who has voted and/or talked a lot. Offing a silent person will give us nothing to go on even if they're the Big Bad.
But then, I would imagine the ... whatsit ... empire types would be inclined to keep quiet at first anyway. It seems like (Sith! Name the fucker, that's it) that always happens, but then I've never gone through and checked.
So um.

As well of the risk of hitting a good guy there's a risk of exposing other good guys - e.g. if we targetted a Jedi on day one, I think the others would be forced to argue against it, and that could be picked up by the baddies.
I think I normally agree with a lynch on day one but not sure with these conditions.
Ah, but equally, we might zap a bad guy, and force them to defend the accused. Although, thinking about the numbers... if you count the slavers and hangers-on, we could have up to 10 bad guys, and if the slaver characters are in, the longer this goes on, the more of us are likely to be captured.
So um. [vote:Craster]
