On noes! Another video.
The Video wrote:
It's late at night, a cold night, a night full of possibilities, a night where something feels like it will happen, an impending night if you will.
Warhead is just shutting up shop, not been the best way to spend the time really, little custom, seems people aren't too happy about being out on the streets alone the past few days.
The shop is closed and it's the long trudge home for Warhead, to an empty house, with no sound of laughter. He is old now, the kids have left home, recently divorced, the only thing that keeps him going is the shop and his friends in the town.
It's a fair old trek to Warhead's house, and as he is walking past the construction site for the new hypermall-o-mart, he sees an envelope on the floor. A red envelope. There is something written on the outside, Warhead stoops over to look...
The envelope has "A Joke" written in black ink on the outside.
Warhead opens the envelope and pulls out the note.
"Knock Knock" writes the note.
"Who's there?" says Warhead, he turns over the note.
"A huge, heavy barrel." writes the note.
That's it, nothing else written.
"I don't get it?" says Warhead.
A curious smell of bananas permeates the air and an italian accented roar screams from above, Warhead looks up... just in time to see the huge, heavy barrel inches from his head.
CRASH!
"Now he gets it."

Warhead was a Female townie.

Who else isn't around? And what's that funny whining noise? Rounding a corner, you see a body has been tied to the back bumper of an electric car. The car is driving around and around a car park with no driver: a brick placed on the accelerator and the steering tied up to full lock. As the car continues driving at full speed around the car park shreds of skin, flesh and sinew are being continuously scraped from zaphod79's now lifeless body.
"Surely he would have been able to escape after the car battery ran down after 20 minutes?" the someone shouts, until you realise that there is something special about this car. Someone has rigged up dynamos to the wheels, which are directly charging the battery. The car will never run out of power!
Unlike poor zaphod, whose remains on the end of a rope are all that are left of him. And a bit of skeleton.
Zaphod79 was a Male Townie.

Hey, there's a DVD! You find someone with a player and stick it on.
The DVD (because everyone keeps writing in first person in the present - rather than in third person and in the past as if the village were discovering the facts the morning after, rather than standing up against the window witnessing some murders, but anyway, at least the writing is good) wrote:
Trooper sits down to watch TV to discover it is relaying a live video feed of the bathroom. He goes to the bathroom only to be savagely attacked by a robot primed to destroy those who are racked by guilt. The robot slices Trooper into 27 pieces then implodes. Trooper's last recorded words are "I will be avenged".

Trooper was the Mafia Godfather.

Good shot, SK!

We're now two Mafia-ites down!

I personally reckon there are probably two Mafia left (iven teh size of the Town), but it might only be one! Plus two nasty Serial Killers. Boo.

People who I am surprised to see alive:
Malc
kalmar

OK, coulda been worse!
I had my doubts about Trooper when he wouldn't switch to help the lynch yesterday.

Curio, I'd assume I was protected. OR, maybe everyone else assumed I would be protected and didn't waste an action on me. Or maybe Trooper died before he could order a hit on me.

Whatever, we survive eh. Let's bury those who didn't make it :(

Heh @ Malc.

Can we assume that Zaphod was a Mafia Hit and Warhead was an SK? Trooper must've been an SK right?

I think Kalmar is the SK as he's been the mastermind behind the lynching.

No, warhead was the mafia hit. Zaphod was Mr ChrisA Serial Killer and obviously Trooper was too.
So one of them has done us a favour this time.

The barrel had an italian accent....so, Warhead was a mafia kill.

A pretty good night, all things considered!

I'm not surprised kalmar didn't die last night, it made more sense after the lynch yesterday for the doc to protect him over anyone else. His information was legit, whether he got the info from a hunch or whether he is the cop didn't really matter, he was the best option then. Of course, he may not have been protected at all but I think anyone would've been risking wasting a kill on him when there are so many others to choose from.

Mafia would only have targetted kalmar last night if he had voiced thoughts on another suspect which were correct. He fingered The Vision, and The Vision is dead, so he has done the damage that he was capable of.

I have to apologise for pointing at Kalmar yesterday, but his accusation didn't seem to have enough substance to go on, and the bandwagon joined in. I'm of the opinion that this was a lucky hunch based on limited information.

I still don't trust Nickachu, but I still don't distrust him enough to push too hard. One reason I thought he hit SDG was that the kill was very, very detailed and he has enough time on his hands to write it. However, so was the mafia kill from last night. Unless Trooper directed Nickachu to do both kills, and that seems unlikely. So if he is bad, I have him as a SK rather than Mafia.

I think I agree with most of this.
But it still seems odd that, if a townie, *you* would risk your neck to stand up against a bandwagon that was in full swing, and I think my "evidence" was pretty solid, given the little we had to go on at that point.

Perhaps you are the useless cop - you'd happened to investigate TheVision on night 1 and thought he was OK!

I'm no cop. And also, the bandwagon started after I went against you (forcefully) but had to go to meetings. Ironically, I'd have probably gone harder as I was finished by 4, but the lynch came early.

Hmm, well he was in the lead with about 4 votes when you did your post. Certainly a good time to start panicking if you were "in" the mafia - that's enough of a critical mass to get everyone voting for them.

What do we know: the Godfather didn't add to the bandwagon, when it would have been a good chance to clear his name if he had survived to the next day. I wonder if he told his guys to keep out of voting.

This is a very, very long day and we definitely shouldn't rush into things.

My thoughts yesterday, after seeing how Craster died, was MrKissyface or DavPaz, the method used to kill Zaphod also looks like the work of one of these 2 so I'd be interested to see what they hav to say. DavPaz does a fair bit of deflecting, I think, he posts quite a lot but doesn't really say anything.

Kalmar, is Chris just a hunch? Do you have anything to back that up?

With regards to Riles, you were pretty down on kalmars theory yesterday and as it was the only one being offered forward (other than Malc and Nick but they're being so weird, either of them could be the loonie) that had any backbone at all. You admit you were wrong but atfer the bandwagon got in to full effect you went silent (meeting, schmeeting :p ) all this says to me is that you were initally trying to protect your fellow mafia buddy and then left him to get lynched once you realised it was a losing battle.

Now, do we try and catch a serial killer or go for the mafia?

Im looking to hear more from the quiet people in town.
I dont recall seeing much from GJ or Joans for instance.
Whilst I am chuffed we are rid of 2 mafia beasts, the SKs are also thinning our herd at an alarming rate.

No no, I'm not saying I suspect Kissyfur more than anyone else - it's just that the kill method (the dynamo on the wheel thing) is done "in the style of" Mr Chris - it's a daft comment he made once. So again it's either a double-bluff, or someone using that to throw suspicion on him (or just to be funny).

The Sinister Agent is lurking a bit too (along with Wullie, Jasmine, Joans and possibly Kovacs).

I'm sure at least one of those is probably evil.

Though equally, the townie power roles are more than likely going to be fairly quiet so as not to drag the watchful eye of the Mafia towards them.

There's no rush though. I only voted for Nick because:

1 - Kalmar did, and he was spot on yesterday
2 -I enjoy voting for him

Heh, I've just been busy the last few days is all. Need to give yesterdays thread a proper read now that I'm home.

Sorry, I was out all day yesterday and didn't realise when the deadline was so I didn't check in to see what was going on in time.
It looks like we've got 1-2 goons left, 2 SKs and 0 prostitutes (if I'm reading the rules correctly).
From the voting yesterday, as we now know that Trooper was Mr RussellThe Mafia Godfather, I'd have a guess that if there were two more goons, there's probably one each in the "voted for the Vision" pile and the "didn't vote at all" pile. If there's only one, they might have tried to put in a vote for the Vision to look innocent (so maybe someone that voted near the end when it was pretty inevitable), or they may have gone for the keep quiet altogether option (as they didn't know that Trooper was going to get killed). Of course it's probably option 3, and it's someont that voted for somebody else.

Anyway, the real question is, who shaved Malc?
