This is the first game I've bothered having more than a cursory glance at & I've no idea what the hell is going on*. Although by the looks of it neither do that lot what are playing :DD
*It appears to be as elaborate as a CurlyWurly.

Not really. The main thing that most of them have missed is that although there is no time limit on the individual days, the intro text stated clearly (and the radio message should have given them a clue) that "The radio says that Cylon assault squads have been spotted on Aerilon, and are searching for survivors."
Basically, they have seven days (although I reserve the right to change that) to get off the planet until the Cylons make their way to the military base.

They may think that the lack of deadlines gives them time to talk, but they are very much against the clock.

Jasmine: If you want in, I can arrange that.

Kovacs' doom mongering amuses me :)

EDIT: Although I'd probably lynch him so I could change the record. It seems to be a bit stuck :P

At that point you were acting a bit sus, at least to my eyes anyway.
Plus, surely by the time you're about to be tipped over the edge & you've been dropping increasingly heavy hints you've nothing to loose by role-claiming.

Yup. Which is what was a bit surprising about LS (who's been acting a bit sus too) jumping in with the final vote.

He has been but folks focused on me :) I just had got bored of the plan talk etc etc

ok ok... so why would a no-lynch not work.

We would have gone into the night, with one person alive.. namely me!

Presumably because you can figure out more from voting patterns.*

As they said, an investigation has minimal benefit as they can't immediately share the info. Although, an obvious way to communicate it would be immediately voting on the next day then if they cark it the remaining survivors know.

*No lynch, no lynch, jump on the Doc G bandwagon had me convinced you were a baddy btw. It was only the heavy hints that got me waivering again.

I'd still have stuck with my guns or reverted to no vote* if I was you. There was nothing that persuasive said that would have prompted me to make that kind of rash change in tactic.

Agree with LS, can't remember if I decided anything about Bobby.

*If that's possible.

Aye, but if you stuck to your guns then your hints would've been much more persuasive when it was time to drop them. I can of course say this with the benefit of hindsight :DD

Well, I'm shocked. Killed? On night one?

Still, probably a good thing, I was pretty certain that Gill was a cylon, which shows how well I was reading the game.

And, no, I didn't protect anyone last night, because they're all a bunch of dicks.

Huh. I assumed that was just scene-setting. Didn't think we had a deadline - I was thinking the game might last weeks.

Though not for me, obviously.

Basically, they have seven days (although I reserve the right to change that) to get off the planet until the Cylons make their way to the military base.

I had noticed that it said that the Cylons were searching for us but had assumed that meant that you could try and make people move if we weren't getting any activity in the thread by threatening us with death. I was enjoying thefact that days didn't end until a decision was made. I have always wondered the purpose of the no vote option since days always seem to time out through indecision rather than an actual drive to have a no lynch day so I thought the lack of time limit on these days (but not on the game as it turns out) was brilliant and gave the no lynch vote a purpose.

I think it would be a shame to end it after seven days, especially when you get some players who are eager to get things moving and keep taking part in the thread (like me!) even whn they have nothing much of use to say while other players are happy to lie low and don't make a decision until forced. I was trying to stay in my role while posting (as I mainly try and do every game) and I always really enjoy so if I was still playing I'd be a bit frustrated if the game eneded just because other people were dilly dallying.

EDIt tried to fix mistakes but im still rushing so i've probably missed some!

I can't believe more people haven't put some pressure on Mr Russell after he said late yesterday that he was voting for you because he though you were 'just a scientist'! That might have been a genuine innocent mistake but oh my god does it sound like he's a Cylon after that!

I am also surprised that it looks like I was killed because I was trying to be useful (I was sure that the game would start this morning and I'd be in the dead thread) but no one has made more than a weak reference to that and haven't had a proper look to see who I was voting for and stuff.
My vote for The Rev Owen yesterday was because he came in and voted for Kov when (to me at least) it was becoming very clear that he had a power role and then later I changed to Russell for the same reason and also because of what he said.
Kov-if we hadn't voted for someone yesterday we would have no information because no roles would have been revealed at the end of the day. It would only be the power roles who could find stuff out and so they would hold all the power. By voting for someone we can see who was voting for a goody or baddy depending on who gets nominated and then we can use that over a couple of days to try and figure things out. I know it sucks to lose a goody on day one but it generally helps more in the long run.

In saying that, I understand now why you were so determined this game not to vote for someone. It became clear to me once I realised your role yesterday that the reason you were so insistent not to vote for someone was because your role was a protector and you were playing your role to the full extent. I think this was a slight misjudgement and I tried to let you know that without making it obvious by referring to the fact that we were voting for someone to stay and not to kill so you weren't going against your role or characters beliefs by doing so. I remember playing a game in a similar way (maybe the saw game?) when I was innocent and a good person so I refused to vote for people because it wasn't what my character would do but for your role in this game I don't think that was necessary. I was really shocked that more people didn't act upon your obvious hints by the end though, especially as we weren't approaching a deadline. I wonder what psychologists would make of that!

As a random aside...I can't figure out Dave or Zaphod this game. Zaphod seemed a bit weird yesterday and I think if Dave was good he would have picked up on the things I picked up on. Worth watching.

If so they'd be much better off seducing mr chris rendering him useless(lol) since then they can have a kill as well.

I'm glad I'm not playing anymore. ;) They probably are who they say they are, it's just weird that Mr Chris decides to roleclaim unnecessarily. it could be a devious Cylon scheme banking on other with the same role not all roleclaiming.

Has LS actually claimed as a pilot? I thought he was trying to suggest he was the psycho but that doesn't make much sense does it because there is nothing to be gained from doing so.

Everything Lace has said today.

Are we assuming the psycho killed gill then?

I'm not sure curio will die tonight, the cylons would be best placed to kill scientists. On the off chance they lose their pilot, they will need a civilian or military person capable of flying the raptor.

With that said Ill volunteer to bury the dead. I especially want to give the rev a miltary sendoff.
Therefore I have a busy day ahead and might not be able to chat much

Looking abck through day one LS makes a couple of references that could mean he's a pilot so I'm fairly happy that he is at least pretending to be one. It makes me even more suspicious of the people who kept voting for Kovascs though because it really did become very clear he was a good guy over the latter stages of the day.

Curio keeps on saying that I got killed for votin for Bobby, when he was one of the first (of many!) people that I voted for yesterday and by the end of the day I was making it clear that I was suspicious of people voting for Kovacs after he made his role clear. I don't really understand why more people aren't looking at those late voters and why people aren't challenging Curio on misrepresenting me, especially when it easy enough to go and double check. If I was going to trust him I'd make sure he wasn't spinning the truth.

Also, why did LS decide to hint at his role based on TopGun?? This isn't a Topgun game! I've not seen Topgun either.

Oh what's happening! :o

I was enjoying that there, i was interested to see if Craster was going to convince people not to vote for him. although if he dies right now and he is a good guy, it will be interesting to see what Curio and Chris do and how people react. prediciton-they'll say the just had a feeling about Craster but oh well, people will shrug, then everyone will wait to see what Curio and Chris do next and follow them.

If curio and Chris are good and Craster dies, that will make it interesting as well I suppose depending on crasters role...I don't think he's a bad guy but who knows.
