The night passes silently, aside from a loud ringing gunshot just before dawn. Folks getting up and heading out to buy a morning paper come across an unpleasant sight. It's superdupergill, her face purpled and a thin wire wrapped around her throat.

superdupergill was the Witness

When the townsfolk assembled to gossip, they discovered the source of the gunshot. Kalmar was missing. Running to his house, they find him in his bedroom, dressed in a light pink towelling gown and feather boa, with a bullethole through his heart and a note on his chest reading "Oh, I think I'm hard enough, motherfucker".

Kalmar was the Bodyguard.

Day two ends Tuesday midday.

There are 11 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch.

Nice so the mafia took out one of the town power roles and the vigilante took out another ....

Having no vote on the first day doesnt seem to have done the town any good , given that the baddies always seem to pick better than the town i think back to randomly picking someone and getting rid of them to see who votes / does not vote / squeals / etc is more useful.

To that mind :

He said he was the mafia don yesterday, and today said it had been a spectacularly successful night. Either biting sarcasm or hiding in plain sight. Either way... Get thee to a gallows.

If you wish.

You fail to note two points, though. 1) It certainly was biting sarcasm. and 2) There is no Mafia don in this game, so it's a bit hard to be one.

I'm undecided on whether Mr Dave is being funny or suspicious.

Why did The Rev Owen say it was too late to vote at the end of day 1 when it wasn't. I'll assume the best and think he meant it was too late to get a vote going against Mr Russell, but it was a bit odd.

Well, SDG knew the names of all the bad'uns, so let's see if she left us any clues in her one (Count it! - Ed) post:

Yes indeed.
And now we enter the whole "I'm not that stupid" "bluff" "double-bluff" "triple-bluff" thing.

So, to save time: wasn't me.

For those saying "could Gilly have given us something" , it was the first night , she had no chance to actually give us any useful info (BTW isnt is strange that she always seems to be an investigative type , or at least has a background as being one).

Right now the day is running out and we need to vote , in less than 2 hours it'll be night and we'll lose more people.

Day 2
VOTE UPDATE

curiosity: 1 (Mr Dave)
jbr: 1 (zaphod79)

Not voted: 9 (bluecup, joans, bobbyaro, grim..., kovacsc, the rev owen, jbr, mr russell, curiosity)

With 11 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch, and 8 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

That's an odd thing to say - she had 48 hours.

Oh, wait. You've not read the rules, have you?

I'll probably jump on that bandwagon, but I'll wait a bit in case someone lets something slip (unlikely, I know).

To be clear: I have no reason to suspect him.

Everyones just being a bit too quiet.

Also: Isn't the deadline a bit severe, given yesterdays general bank-holidayishness.

I'm just an innocent townie.

Very lucky day for the Mafia, offing the Witness like that. I can't see that she gave anything away, unless there's some code in there that the baddies deciphered. If not, they got lucky or figured her post was too 'innocent' and trying to shy attention from her.

Ho hum.

I guess now we hope the Vigilante can knacker some Mafia types and not us Townies.

I have no particular suspicions of anyone at the moment.

Yes , *but* as innocent townies we can also play a part instead of sitting here and being picked off one by one (we have 67 minutes to vote for someone!)

BTW , I cant see where it says that the Mafia killed SDG , for all we know that was who the vigilante got ?

Piano wire is a classic mafia way of killing someone, and those rules you're still avoiding state the vig has a gun ;)

Not that it actually makes any difference.

I don't see any point in voting for Kovacs. He isn't going to be lynched at this point. I am going to [vote: curiosity] simply because I feel that is a bandwagon we can all get behind. he is always bad.

I am a townie! We'd be better off not lynching me and lynching someone else. Or not lynching at all.

I swear I'm not a baddie!

Okay - you've not voted - why not pick someone and try to get people to look in that direction ? , right now your about the only candidate since theres 14 minutes until the end of the 'day' and its unlikely anyone else will get enough votes.

Another day, another dither. Despite suspicious mutterings, the townsfolk do not feel sufficiently roused to anger to string someone up, so they all disperse back to their homes.

Night actions to me ASAP please, day 3 will start when I have the actions or 10am tomorrow.
