Moments after the triumph over the Queen, a remote sensor is tripped in the conduit.
Vasquez, still on a high, is first to volunteer for action.
Arriving at the scene, she and Hudson check their motion tracker. No movement.
"Your not reading it right, man" she complains.
At that moment, a vent cover slams down and sinuous black organic arms thrust from the roof, grabbing our heroine.
Scrambling for her Rifle in panic, Vasquez is rapidly abducted to the roof, her screams soon muffled.
A whine on the tracker getting higher in pitch does nothing to settle Hudson, as he falls back in greif at his fallen comrade.

Fuck, well, after yesterday I fully expect to be lynched today. And if I were you, given my dogged insistence that Mr Dom was an alien, I'd not hesitate to vote for me.

I'm not an alien, though, as I'm sure you'll find out soon enough. I'd just convinced myself that Mr Dom's hints were in preparation for a marine role claim, but that was because he was actually an alien. (Which is why I was inclined to trust Bobby, the cock, because he was obviously on a different side.) It seems pretty idiotic now I know what's going on, but there we are. Can I just say I was playing up the "DA" part in my role?

I really wanted to survive this game so I'd win and I thought I'd been doing a good job until yesterday - and I really thought I could help us kill the dastardly aliens like Mr Dom - but I fucked up in spectacular fashion.

Ah well. Hopefully my imminent death will mean that you get some more info and can avenge me.

There should be some more information out there today, be it awesome info (X is an alien) or merely useful (Y is not an alien).

I'll happily send Owen to the 'next tower', but want to wait for everyone to have a say first. The remaining marine has to be very careful though, as if they speak too strongly then they're toast overnight.

To be honest, I wouldn't either. I'd have me swinging.

I just read the game wrong. And now I can't be any help because I have no idea what's going on any more, as days of assumptions have proved to be completely wrong.

You know when you're stuck in a game because you know the puzzle has to be solved a certain way, but it doesn't work, but you keep trying, then go to GameFAQs and find out you've been taking the wrong approach?

We were very lucky yesterday that Bobby was the queen , otherwise my nasty thought from yesterday was they dont take out the marine - instead they facehug and grow their team.

The fact that there is no queen means no hug right now so we can whittle them down - given the info Bobby had its quite possible there was another company person who was hugged on day 1.

We know we have :

1 Alien Warrior (there from the start)
Probably +1 Alien Warrior (recruited night 1)
Probably +1 Alien Warrior (the fencesitter).

1 Marine (go go Hudson!)
1 special Dac (Rebecca - no special skills)

0-1 Company person (could also be the hugged character from Day 1)
0-1 Private Frost (unlikely but we could have another marine)
0-1 Company Scientist (who depending on numbers could still win the game)

And that leaves
1-4 DAC's

It does mean that if there are 3 aliens now that there will probably be another queen before the end of the game (Rules question - will we 'learn' if we kill an alien warrior and it was in the process of maturing to become a queen?)

Of those I have my traditional blank reading of Mr Dave and that means the Rev would be top of my list - however we do have some time (until midnight) so i dont think its worth throwing votes around in case we get the wrong ones - tonight we will lose another good player so a bad choice today and there are 7 players left tomorrow 3 of them aliens which is enough to jump on a wrong vote - next day we would have 5 players - 3 aliens - they win.

Yeah, I suppose the one bright spot is that my death won't be so harmful as it might have been because the aliens will need to rebuild after losing the queen, so things won't be so desperate for the rest of you DACs after you kill me today.

Doesn't help me, though. Stupid selfish win condition. I still want the colonists to win, though, even if I won't share it.

Too quiet... I thought I'd be dead by now and I'm not sure why I'm not, honestly. It's not like there's anyone else in the firing line. I wish there was.

To be fair from SDG and Mr Dom's conversation the only other person in the firing line that i can see right now is Mr Dave.

Given the silence from the other marine i think we need to assume the person they checked was not an alien so they may know some trustworthy people but they dont know who's not - in that case i think its better we agree and 'vote' on someone - and if the Marine knows they are good they will probably need to step in & role claim to save that person - if they dont know if they are good or bad we just send them out for the long walk and see.

If the marine has to role claim i think they probably know 1 or 2 good people but its not enough to pick out who the baddies are - also we need to be careful of a false role claim because the way the numbers work a bad day today is almost the end - a bad day tomorrow is the end.

I guess the aliens are holding off on voting for me because when I'm shown to be a DAC they'll look suss if they jumped in early, but that doesn't explain why innocent people aren't voting for me when I look so evil after yesterday.

Maybe the aliens are hoping someone else good gets lynched, so I'm sure to die tomorrow, so then they've got the two days they need? But that doesn't make much sense, because they could off me today quite happily, as a sure bet, then go after another innocent person tomorrow.

Sorry I'm late. Weird how The Rev Owen has suddenly spoken and contributed more today than he has any other day so far. If he turns out not to be an Alien now I'll be shocked.

Interesting as well that he is being so obviously against Mr Dave- is that a really obvious attempt at distancing himself from him or is he doing that to make us think that's what's going on, to protect a so far undiscovered alien?

Also, if one of the minor good roles roleclaimed today, sacrificing themselves for the sake of the marines, would it buy them the time needed to win the game?

With the survivors all in a pickle, the mantle of responsibility (and Military Chain of command) falls on Hudson.
With his technical abilities intact, he manages to mount Vasquez' old smart gun up to a tripod, and run a remote cable back to operations.
Using a cheap webcam, he can now view the conduit between the colony.

Its not long before the Aliens that annihilated Vaasquez are back, and this time Hudson isnt fumbling for a weapon.
Using the advantages of the SmartGun auto aiming system, and his remote hookup to pull the trigger, he manages to take one out, before the other retreats back to the Atmosphere processing station.

The Rev Owen was an Alien Warrior birthed out of a Company Associate.
