The fact that Owen was both Company and Alien means he was their grab on night one

If we get the 'wrong' alien tonight and the other matures then tomorrow there will be 6 players but 2 will be aliens (damn close)
If we hit the 'new queen' tonight then there will be 5 players and 1 alien (the other alien will kill)
If we hit a human there will probably be 6 players and 3 aliens tomorrow - game over.

One hit and we need to get the right one - thoughts ?

Actually the alien isnt an instant conversion , so the wrong one doesnt mean instant death although it will mean that because we'd need to kill someone who came forward as being hugged and the aliens would just hug again overnight - it still comes down to the same thing though

(BTW SDG - *if* i was an alien that would also mean Davpaz was the other - since i could just have voted for him last night and that would have been the end - therefore *if* i'm an alien so is Davpaz)

Oh and to re-iterate my other posts from last night - this is basically the end.

If there are no marines (please Frost be out there!) , then we have possibly 0-1 company , 2 aliens , and 4-5 DAC's of various types

And if we do have a company person left they could still win :

(not sure if that should be a MAX or a MIN ?)

If we vote for a non alien - the aliens hug (they have no people they cant get)and they have 3 and there are only 6 left (majority not possible they win)
If we vote for the non-queen alien , the aliens hug and its 2 aliens vs 4 non so theres another day (with the odds slightly worse than now)
If we vote for the queen , the other alien kills and its 1 alien vs 4 non and its possible to go down to the wire.

Assuming, of course, that there is a fence sitter.

You see, your logic all requires that, including your win situation last night.

Your right , for some reason i had always assumed that it was an 'absolute' role and not a 0-1 , if there is no fencesitter then there is just one alien left who is a queen by tonight.

That would mean there are

1-2 Aliens
0-1 Company
4-6 DAC's

So a right vote today would win - a wrong vote and tomorrow there would be 2 aliens vs 4 non

Which would also mean that i could be an alien and Davpaz not (although if i was the last alien why would i not just pull the trigger on him last night when i could have ?)

I am really confused by the way people are voting because I thought I had a pretty good idea in my head of who was good (I am confused about who is bad, you may have noticed) but voting patterns today are just mixing me up.

If it helps, I had thought that Morte and DavPaz were both good and so I am trying to choose the aliens out of the remaining players.

The fact that the day after Mr Dom was killed, everyone seemed quite happy to put votes in quickly without talking first is slightly annoying because it is useful for us all to take advantage of the relative safety of the day phases.

I am more clear headed today so I am going to go and have a wee look back at the events of the last day phase.

I read that at the time as him trying to put out a suggestion of voting for Terimahkaseh if Curio didn't survive the night. I think he was hoping that he hadn't been ID'd as the other marine but it was pretty obvious really.

So i'm happy to vote for any of the other 3 , the idea of not voting straight away was because we'd lose the chance to communicate but since it doesn't look like much is happening we do not have any real advantage in waiting

It's the weekend, people aren't always here (although a more accurate deadline would help).
I went to bed at 6am and was up at 9, so I'm going to try and work stuff out a bit later when I can see properly.

wow, that seems incredibly tenuous to me (i would say that though wouldn't i) but come on he lists everyone apart from himself and Mr Dave, so from that i am assuming Mr Dave was scanned and is a safe bloke. Having re-read through the last few days Davpaz's randomness seems to be a brilliant shield for him to hide behind, people just seem to accept he is a DAC and just slightly mad, with little else to go on [vote: DavPaz]
