And did you do anything about determining your location while you were there?

Well you could contact them and ask about a missing officer called Holly , and that she sent messages to someone else on the force , and wonder if they could be tracked , or the calls to Rufus's victims yesterday , or you could have had your eyes open when you left ....

Although who knows - maybe the police are a part of this , my replies all seemed to suggest my boss was really getting annoyed perhaps s/he is the Admin ? :-)

What about today, why did you vote when it seemed like everyone left was innocent and the other player was saying lets not vote?

Of course, it'll be funny if the person Kovacs voted for turns out to be some sort of baddie.

True, I guessed I had to try and find the baddy left. I only knew Norm and myself was innocent. Benny could have been but said fuck all...

Paul and Billy were the only ones that spoke...

what the fuck are you on about?

I was still in a cage, all 4 identified bad guys had been identified. What was I do do not vote, or vote for some one that did not participate.

My win condition was to save 50% and a lot got released the prvious day, just needed numbers..

Its always very easy to sit in the dead thread and point out all the mistakes people are making (especially if the game maker is free with some of the more choice details) , when your actually in the game and dont know whats going on , and you only have yourself to ask questions of then you make mistakes / misjudge things.

That is what I did, I posted before i went to bed, slept on it and decided to vote for benny.. as he was too quiet, and Norm had been identified as innocent.

Every step of the way I was saying not to vote, please don't vote, for the love of God why are you are voting and so forth, so to suggest I'm being wise after the event doesn't really hold any water. Kovacs continued to vote to kill someone after he himself had said he thought everyone there was probably innocent. How can that be described as anything other than cretinous?

Yeah, but that's only a viable strategy if:

a) There's a cop, which until Holly outed herself we didn't know
and
b) The admin won't kill anyone if there are no votes. We still don't know if that's true.

Without those, not voting is a silly arse waiting to die strategy.

I think that given how little info we had, not voting was a perfectly reasonable strategy for one day to see what happened. It could have led to us all dying but we had no way of knowing and it could also have led to us all going free or us at least getting a day of not losing one or two innocents.
I also think that we would then have tried a day with two people getting votes and a day with one person and that would have helped too. It is much harder when you are playing the game though. I tried not to get too frustrated but it is annoying when the majority feeling does seem to be one thing but then people do something else just because they have an irrational fear of the day timing out without acting, even if they think that acting is the wrong thing to do. I am guilty of that as well though, I was busy and rushed yesterday so just voted to get out because I didn't have the time to think about it myself.

Hello I was the Phreaker, the wonderful phreaker with my amazing skill of doubling the amount of texts someone got.

First Night-I gave the texts to Liz who by morning was dead.
Second Night-I gave the texts to George, I sent the PM to Grim, and it was Doc G who was running the game during that time so it went unnoticed.
Third Night-I missed the chance to say who to give the texts to.
Fourth Night-Gave them to Chris, people got suspcious about it, and he was killed.

What a wonderful 'non-power' , although given that people would be freaked out by it all it might have been a way to cause confusion at times if you wanted it to.

Exactly :this:

Obviously if it had some dire consequence, I wouldn't have wanted us to do it again. I just wanted to test out the game mechanics, since they can be relied upon to respond in a pre-determined way; I've never seen a successful bad guy hunt yet in these Scum games, and given that the lynchings this time were simply for the people who had texted the most often I was desperate to TRY something else. Key word in capitals there; obviously if it led to everyone dying then I wouldn't have wanted to do it the next day

And it STILL hasn't been tried.

And if all the innocents had been around to vote for Rufus and escape through that window of opportunity, then my win condition would be fulfilled. It's not my fault that they didn't. Yeah, some of them were busy with work and real life stuff, but isn't the whole point of the game to ignore the fact that we are posting on an internet forum and to immerse ourselves in the scenario? To say "we won't get enough innocents out cos they're all on lunch break at the moment" is too 'OOC' so I ignored it and just took the in-game scenario into account. More fool me for trying to be realistic I guess. Anyway, there is some sense to the idea of "banking" as many innocents safe as we could (think it was George who said that?) and hoping the remaining innocents can think their way out of a wet paper bag. I forgot about Kovacs ;)

But again, when you were pushing your peace and love crap, you had absolutely no idea that any of that would happen - and indeed the game rules shouldn't have let it happen, only Malc forgot to read his win condition amendment :p

Which makes me interested in what the other way for the innocents to win is...

Given that it was very unlikely that Malc would mess up his win condition like that, and it's not linked to the amount of proteges in the cages (unless Admin lied), then there must be another way to get out.

Not voting at all? It certainly seems to most likely remaining way, unless it's something more esoteric.
