The townsfolk reconvene in the square, to find that they are missing yet more people.

Where is Mr Chris?

Dead, killed to death by aliens. All that remains is a pile of goo in a cardigan.

Mr Chris was The King of Wrong

He was also a Townie (and his predictions were terrible).

Where is Grim...?

Oh, he's here.

Zardoz?

He's here too.

Gazchap?

Oh, he's lying dead at the feet of Dr Glyndwr!

Gazchap was an Evil Alien

Dr Glyndwr was Agent Scully

Grim... was the Mannequin Artist

Everyone else who lived (Malc and Zardoz) was a Townie

The town wins!

Though their rejoicing is somewhat short lived, as Secret Character Dimrill soon joins the fun and bums everyone.

Game over, man! Game over!

I was right about Joans, man.

How come there were two kills last night? Did myp's kill come before his death?

BUGGER. I was undone by Gaywood's detectiving. If he'd just picked a couple of other people to investigate, I could probably have swung that one.

Thanks to Curiosity for running a very interesting game. If Joans had managed to get his Last Resort in, the last couple of days could have been very interesting indeed.

Ah yes, I meant Runcle survived, not Malc. Runcle was a Townie Mason, as claimed.

I thought the game went pretty well. Had Joans been online today to do his Last Resort, then Town may very well not have won. Apparently Mr Chris would have become the Host Alien.

In retrospect the Last Resort option might be more fun if it automatically happens upon the Host Alien being lynched.

Other notes:

1 - Runcle's coins tipped you off about two baddies, but you failed to listen to them AGAIN!

2 - Zaphod used logic early on to work out who he was suspicious of. Both were bad guys. Instead, the Townie Cop was lynched.

3 - Mr Chris, fairly late on, cleared two people as probably being townies. One was a Mafia Hitman and the other was an Evil Alien

My question would be why neither the aliens or mafia targeted Grim... ?

More for the aliens i guess because as long as he survived he could protect an outed Scully.

Pfah - I had you pegged as a bad guy from day one. The fact you weren't is entirely immaterial.

I appear to have 'become Dudley' in the dead thread, and predicted everything as wrong as I possibly could.

Man, Chris looked so scummy the last two days!

Could well be, and against heavy odds, too - getting the mafia recruiter so early on was a real stroke of luck.

I think this is the first time I've won, even if it took me dying to do it.

There was evidence in the voting records. It just turned out it was faulty.

Author:  GazChap [ Wed Mar 18, 2009 12:27 ]
Post subject:  Re: Alien Scum - Day Seven

As for Grim... the reason that we didn't kill him the night of his roleclaim was that we thought the Mafia would, as they would have to eventually.

Having just read the dead thread, I should apologise as apparently it seems like something I said on the day after Shin was lynched was looked upon as cheating by Dudley (and possibly others). There was a part of the post that included information about me telling Shin she was getting a few votes, which was simply because we live together and she asked. It did occur to me that it might have been considered metadata, so I asked Curio about it and he said he wouldn't consider it metadata but warned me that others might. It didn't occur to me that technically I'd communicated with Shin outside of the game though, possibly because I was Alien so was allowed to communicate and just didn't think.

The idea behind the post itself was to paint myself as a goodie, but in hindsight I could have left out the bit about me telling Shin she was getting votes and the effect would have been just the same.

It was interesting to me that I survived so long with no suspicion at all (although many people in the dead thread had me pegged). The King of Wrong even said I was probably a goodie.

When it came down to that final day, I voted for Mr Russell as I realised I was beyond hope. I couldn't get out of it, I knew Gaywood would investigate and kill me. That's also why I killed The King of Wrong on the last night, there was no point going for Grim... or Gaywood as I wouldn't get another night to finish them off.

To be honest, I would have expected a roleblocker to go for me or gaywood on the final night, so I'd have took a chance and gone for it.
But then, killing Mr Chris might have proved too tempting.

This was an excellent game, good to have one where everyone's been involved start to finish after a few that have been a bit quiet. Cheers, Curio.

I was 99% sure that there was just the one Mafia hitman left (and I took him out while looking for Scully) so a roleblocker didn't even come into my mind.

As soon as you did that, I figured that you were the alien and Russ was probably innocent or a second remaining alien. I'd already done the maths though, and I knew you were done for any way -- we just had to lynch one of you two, and I investigate the other one. So I didn't try and redirect the voting.

Sorry about that unnecessary hanging Russell!

This thought occured to me too, but the odds were fairly slim and we'd have just lynched Gaz the next day anyway.
