Well screw this!

In other news, let's please not have the debate as to whether it's better to lynch on the first day or not. It very clearly is better to lynch on the first day. Therefore [vote:lacesensor] for great justice.

What justice is this you speak of?

So right now if *every* undecided person voted for the top person we'd still be short of a lynching number so we'd need someone to switch.

Is it worth some of these people who have voted by themselves for a single player to say why they are sticking with that person over one of the people who could be close to a lynch ? or say why they think everyone instead should switch to the person they are going for ?

I agree with Zaphod's, and disagree with Mr Dom's logic.

This is a little weird considering he has randomly* voted for bluecup!

I'll be out until after the days ends now. I'm going to stick with my vote as LS has the most so he is the one most likely to get the chop at this moment in time.

See you 'tomorrow' guys.

I'm giving Mr Dom the benefit of the doubt - for now - because it's his first game. That won't last if he continues like this, though.

I don't get what lynching LS gets us wrt info. If he is a townie, are we going to be suspicious of everyone who voted for him? And if he isn't a townie are we going to be suspicious of those who didn't? He hasn't posted too much and no one is shouting for or against, other than "let's do it, it'll be fun." I understand the need to get info, but I am not sure what we are getting here.

That said, if one vote is needed to tip the scales, I will vote for him, as some info is better than no info.

Er... You were saying how important it was to lynch somebody. Shouldn't you switch to someone that might actually get lynched before we time out at in three hours?

I think Mr Dom is dodgy, if there is a groundswell of votes towards him, I will change my vote to him. At the moment it really doesn't matter who is taken out. We really need 2 or 3 days of data, to check out voting patterns and what not.

Yes there will be innocents killed along the way, but "it's for the greater good".

Executive Decision - Rule Change

Take nothing in to the timing of this, as I've not read anything today and don't know who's up for the chop, but a townie game player actually mentioned something to me that I feel is a flaw in the game.

Apologies to the aliens, but if Scully gets killed then Mulder will be given a secondary ability. Driven to drink by the death of his closest friend, should Mulder find an alien in his investigations, he will drunkenly blab this information to a random person within the town. I will randomise this, and it could even be to one of the other aliens. This will not reveal Mulder's role as the info was overheard in a toilet cubicle or something.

This rule change prevents Mulder from becoming less than useless should someone knock Scully off during the night, as otherwise he'd be completely hamstrung as being unable to help anyone.

He is still unable to vote for any aliens he finds.

As you were...

Right. I appreciate that by changing my vote late in the day that I'm making myself a target for suspicion if Lace is a good guy, or a target for the baddies if he turns out to be a bad guy. But I do think we need a lynch if we're going to win this.

[vote:LaceSensor]

I'll happily switch to someone else though, because I'm fucking clueless right now.

Bobbyaro
GazChap
maybe Kalmar

If we're not lucky, LS is a townie, yes. And we lynch him and maybe tomorrow there is nothing particularly obvious from the discussion today, but when we get to day 3, suddenly patterns start to emerge over days 1-3 when you re-read them. If we don't generate discussion now, we'll have nothing to go on later.

It's harsh, but it's how the game is played. Remember that if the town wins and LaceSensor isn't a baddie, he still wins, even if he's lynched on day one.

'Course we might get lucky and he might be a bad guy. The odds aren't great but we need to roll those dice.

Note how gaywood has ignored all the attacks on him. Like water off an alien's anti-gravity-field-covered back.

There's a sense of murder in the air. The people of Roswell have slowly become suspicious of LaceSensor.

They pounce as one, sharpen their noose and hang him high until he is dead.

Once he is no longer breathing, the crowd enters his abode. It seems neat, and is full of photographic equipment. Was he teh photographer? Or are they DISGUISED ALIEN DEATH RAYS???

The townies grab a camera, point it at a nearby rodent and...

...

...

*click*

Oh, it's a camera.

For shame, people of Roswell.

LaceSensor was the Townie Photographer.

Day One is over. Night One begins.

Deadline for night actions is 10am on Wednesday morning, but if all actions are in before then, we will start earlier.
